my big day, Part I

THERE HERE!!

Thanx to JJWT for pitch-hitting for me on our blog, thanx to each and every one of you who left me awesome comments! lurve you a billion! Ok, I have to seriously cover this in parts or I'll never get through it bc I'm a rEaL mOm now and busy but hello, need to journal my big day. It was the hardest and yet easiest thing of my life, does that make sense? I totally get parenthood now.

Natural childbirth is soooo peaceful slash rewarding.

Soooo lets start @ the beginning. Last week I was like 12 months preggo, buying my time til the feti would exit, getting pedis and going to lunch while thinking about my hardships. My first water-brake thought was i'm sooo greatful not to have april fool's day babies, my second thought was omgosh everyone's going to see my choo-chee, my third thought was yesss, they can announce it THIS sunday instead of waiting til after confrince, my fourth thought was holy crap I better get ready!

So, showered then blowdried my darling/ginorm hair then flat-ironed and then VERY carefully wrapt each strand of hair around the curling iron so it turned out all sassy long and loose. The labor pain was sooo unbareable but this was my first official act as a rEaL mOm, took forever but seriously worth it, these pics are gonna be around a looooong time and no offense, but my mom looks gross and tired in the pics from my birth and cropping her out for my wedding vid was just sad, so I wanted to protect the feti from that. I was already such a mama bear!!

My cramped garden womb was a fist of cringy tightness but still thinking of others I took time to text the RS pres that it looked like we'd be home Sunday nite so she'd probably want to pick up our Rio the night before, then we prayed that no matter what else happens we'll be happy as long as they have hair, then threw my lipgloss and tutus {just in case they were both girls} in my anthro hospital bag and FertileBuns and me were off to the hospital.

too be continued...

    CongraDulationS!

  17. Wow TAMN you are seriously so tough. I know when it was MY labor/delivery day, those conjunctions hurt so much that I had to wait until I was already @ the hospital with the wonderful epidural numbing the awful pains before I could manage to put on makeup for those birth pictures.

You must be tonz more righteous than me.

  18. You are a marketing genius.

  19. Oh...em...GOSH!! It's JUST LIKE CHRISTMAS! Your own star in Bethlehem. Good for you TAMN. I am so shure you kept your hair in perfect place without any icky sweating...so not attractive. So thoughtful of you to give the RS a head's up so they didn't have to brake the sabbath. Always thinking of others...

I wished you'd started the post with the feti/now perfectly newborn sexes. Did you get your girl?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Seriously, TAMN. Making us wait for part two is worse than Grey's making us wait FOUR WEEKS for the next episode.

Stop teaching me patience. I must know how it all went (unless the lady behind TAMN actually did give birth-- in which case, congratulations! And take care of yourself!).

  21. holy holy holy crap crap crap! You are such a mama bear! I wonder if they WERE both girls??? Was the lipgloss for you or for them?? Did Lynzii come to the hospital? Is Yvette speaking to you now that you're a mom?

    FertileBuns = gross and awesome.

  25. What? No names? I have been waiting on pins and needles all weekend, and I want the whole long gruesome story! Ugh. So lame that I have to wait.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Crap. I was totally planning on just flat ironing my hair, before I expelled the feti from my womb, but I guess I'm going to have to curl it too!!

How do you feel about crimping?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Your feti/neonati are SOOOO lucky to have such a thoughtful mother. Congratulations on your labor of LOVE.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I luv the new blog header--all pink and blue with the hatchlings! that mustuv been why it took you a while to post the news, getting that so cute. now remove those floating feti widgets and give us more news!!

  31. Hahahahahahahaha ....fertilebuns...That is absolutely amazing. And I am so greatful that you took all of that time to make sure you looked bautiful for your big day, because, let's face it--you're going to remember this day forever. Don't want to have any regrets, you know?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I love it when people blog every single micropscopic detail of their birth story! Forget pics of the babies, don't forget the pic of the placenta!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I am so glad you totally get parenthood. That is so important. And I think curling your hair before giving birth was truly an act of unselfishness. Wow. You are so giving!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm going to be in Orem slash Provo the end of April but I'm thinking I'm STILL not going to get to meet you. Bummer.

    ReplyDelete
  39. You are just so brave. I can't believe you remembered the lip gloss while all that pain was going on. You are such a good mom. I was dying to hear all about you! Seriously, I left my meeting twice today just to check the blog. It was that important to find out how you were. So glad you're okay. I bet the girls are seriously gorgeous.!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I don't know which made me laugh harder-- that you could be "announced" in Sacrament Meeting before the Conference break or that the RS President needed to get your Cafe Rio on Saturday, so as not to break the sabbath.

(Although it's an ox-in-the-mire situation, for sure. Only I bet you didn't want to be compared to an ox. But then if she got the food on Saturday, would it be as good on Sunday? What a dilemnma. My head hurts.)

Also? I am dying to know just what parts of your labor were "natural". I'm guessing there weren't many.

    Congrats!

    ReplyDelete
  41. you are the most perfect luckiest person ever in the entire world and church! way to go all natural, you make me so proud!

  45. Congratulations TAMN and JJWT! That's friggin awesome that you got all ready for the births. For my planned c-section I was able to do my hair and make-up, but when I got there they put an ugly blue cap on my head, I looked like a nerdy doctor. Anyway, congrats! Lets see pics!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Wow, I'm so sorry your RS prez isn't worthy enough to just hear the spirit tell her that you were on your way and to remember Cafe Rio. Instead you had to CALL her? Wow. Like I would totally move just to get out of that ward.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Wow, 20 years from when people watch your twinsers wedding video they will see how hott there mom was when she broght them in the world! That was so awesome of you to think of them while suffering so much!

    ReplyDelete
  56. BAAA! TAMN! You are so awesome for blessing the world with your hot twinners! Can't wait to hear the rest.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I always got pedis before my babies could come into the world. So many photos and videos of baby being lifted above the blue sheets- you don't want your toes to look gross in the shot!

This is the real honest truth, too.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'm so sorry you didn't tear to the 4th degree, then you'd get even more support and apathy and meals and house cleaning.

But I'm SO glad to know every moment how good you're heeling is going. Don't forget when you chaings thier tiny tiny diapers, tu steal some of that diaper cream for your DTP (down their parts, or Choo-chee as you called them.

Hope those babies sleep great and your pedi's are fast so you can tell us more of the story. Like all about the nurse, and what swear words you didn't say, and how mean the doc was. Ya know, the good stuff. Oh, and you must tell us about the beauty/flaws of the room. Ours had a flour photo in a frame that could be pushed away for oxygen and sucktion for the babes or the mom. TO PRETTY!

Love you tamn, butlove those babies more!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Congrats, TAMN! I had to weigh in on your poll. I wouldn't call your babies feti anymore. I would call them the babies formerly known as feti.

That's what I call my baby. Only I call her the baby formerly known as fetus.

  64. Choo Chee?
I'm telling my DTD husband that one.
Made me pee my snug little pants. Oh yeah, get ready for that with that 3rd degree tear of yours. You'll be lizzing (laughing/wizzing) your post-partum-in-between-maternity-&-not-maternity pants for the rest of your life.
