okay, seriously everyone

Is this really my journal if it doesn't include my materialistic wants??? Do you wish I was posting more stuff like:

MUST HAVE THESE CROCHETED NECKLACES & HEADBANDS THAT LOOK LIKE MY GRANDMA'S RUG {{large pic}}

neeeeeeeeeeeeeed neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed neeeeeeeeeeeeeeed this brightly colored kitchenaid!!! {{large pic}}

IF I DON'T GET THIS DRESS I WILL EXPLODE. {{large pic}}

Or, should I be posting my daily outfit with a link to wear I bought everything? Do I need more of 'this is stuff that just screams TAMN' in my life to show my adorablness?

Guys, defiantly not insecure, I'm just wanting to know how I can better change to please you.

  1. I know this is YOUR journal and don't get me wrong...I LOVE LOVE LOVE hearing about material needs and wants, but I've been wondering about Yvette?! How's she doing? : [

  2. Lol! I just found a blog the other day were they do post what they wear every day. If I did that you would see the same outfit about every 8 or so days. :)

  3. Yes, Yes, Yes! Please post links to all the cool stuff you need / have. How else can we be just like you?!?! Besides, I'm from FL, so most of your cool stuff is NEW to me!

  4. I personally would love to see all of your shoes, but the Internet would probably explode.

  5. Maybe you should post, like, a wish list with pics and stuff, so your family/friends/ward members will know exactly what you want and what. Make sure and tell them if it's more birthdayish, or Christmasish, or just because-ish. Cuz that's important. And make sure you list brands. Having a Kitchen Aid is important, cuz most other mixers suck. And of course, it has to perfectly match your kitchen, or it's totally worthless!

  6. Yes, please do post pictures of all the cute things that you want/need so that we can all copy you and pretend that we have our own personal style. There is nothing better than having the latest cool stuff from Anthro/J Crew/some-Etsy-shop! Pleeese enlighten us all quickly.

  7. But srsly, girl- we know you are the most secure girl ever. I wouldn't change a THING! Except for maybe you could actually get the pictchers onto your post- LOL! No- srsly- I really want to see the dress.

  8. No wonder why my sister thinks I am writing this and making fun of her!

  9. wow! I need more friends like you - I seriously didn't even know this world existed... is this original, or are there other e-bffs who could show me the path that could lead to such beautiful materialism? I think maybe handbags would be a good addition to this post... it does tell the world what kind of person you are.

  10. If you do not post pictures of your fave KiTcHeN AiD, then i will lose my testimony for sure!

  11. You're right on track with this one.

  12. Since you are so charitable like Oprah, I think it's totally appropriate for you to post "TAMN's Favorite Things" at least once a week or so...

  13. Cristin's comment was LOL! (I mean I was LOLing, not that the comment actually LOLed, but you know).

I'm going to go against the flow TAMN. I'm just not adorable enough to dress like you, so I don't care what you're wearing. Can you do more philosophical posts like how to be all zen when someone takes the last box of Postie-Os that were on sale at the grocery store, or discuss the transcendental meaning of reality shows? There's some really good life lessons on reality shows, like you shouldn't be a hater on camera because that clip will defiantly make it on the air, and stuff like that.

  14. Great idea! But make sure you don't post pictures taken by you. They have to be ones from online. Like if you get some new sheets post the picture of the entire room from Pottery Barn.

  15. I've been waiting for you to start a recipe/food/menu/meals blog where you plan out all the yummy and nutritional meals that you are going to cook for your family every week! Also, JJWT can check this and see what he is going to be having for dinner every day, and he can sometimes write sweet encouraging comments like "YUM!" and "Can't wait for dinner, babe!" Even if you don't follow the menu after you make it (because of course sometimes you get SO tired because your life is so crazy busy, so JJWT has to make dinner for you, or take you out, or order in), it shows what a GREAT homemaker you are to plan out a week of meals in advance. (Even though we all know after 2 or 3 weeks of this you will lose steam and only post a recipe every month or so, and it will usually be a desert recipe of some sort, I think this type of blog is a must-have for all good stay-at-home moms.)

Also, what about a weight-loss/get-fit thing where you post all the exercise you do and how many pounds you have lost so far. I just LOVE reading about this and it makes me SO excited when my friends write about how they've almost accomplished their goal of getting back into a size 6/4/2 again, while training for a marathon.

  16. Don't just post things you want, but specifically mention WHO you want them FROM. There is nothing cuter than a wife publicly asking/telling her husband to buy her (fill-in-the-blank) pretty, pretty please.

  17. Don't you think it's a little pointless to list all the things you want? I mean, people might start getting the impression you are living the plan cuz you're obviously not getting all of your heat's righteous desires...

It's better to list all the amazing stuff you have and get. You'll be more of a role model that way.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I'd love to see them all...I bet you are seriously so fashionable, especially now that you are selling pest control.

    ReplyDelete
  19. If you didn't post these things, how would the rest of us know what to buy?!?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Ok, now I KNOW of a blog you MUST get your inspiration from...ha ha ha!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I only want to see your kitchenaide if it's vintage.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I would MUCH prefer if you showed a way expensive NEED and then found a less expensive replica of that need side by side and let us guess which one is the one that will help us remain in the plan by not spending excessively.

And photos are cute of your outfits and all, but one of your eyes have to be covered with your side cut bangs and you can only show your toes poking through way hot vintage toe showing heels.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Even though materialism makes you cry, you must post pix of totally adorable stuff that you want/ slash/ have just boughten. That way, we can see youre fabulous sense of style. XOXO -- D.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think you should post stuff you already HAVE! That way we could be so inspired by how much more blessed you are than the rest of us.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Sometimes I wonder if you take some of your inspiration from a blog I read. She actually did a post today about a dress she's lusting over (with pic & link). It would look great in her vintage looking apartment.

  26. OH well i have no idea what to say how about you post some cool jokes about the latest tv show that would be so FUNNY like what you did to Bacholerette LOL!!! ( By the way i love that she took Ed how cute!!!

  27. You don't have a Kitchenaid? Shame on JJWT!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Pretty much your blog astounds me the way it is. I think if you do a once in a while post about your material needs/wants then it won't be bad, but seriously, your blog is already fun to read.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I *heart* you. You make my lonely days better.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Darn, you're good.

Why don't you start your own personal stylist gig? You could write about how much you love fashion, the latest trends, and putting fun outfits together, then only, ONLY feature clothes from Anthropologie. I've totally seen this and I don't understand it. It doesn't make you a personal stylist if you're passing on the styles that Anthropologie's stylists have already styled. You could throw anything from that store together and people would call it high fashion.

  31. I think Rebekah is on to something--you could start your own "What Not To Wear" feature and use your camera phone to snag photos of women in your ward from the neck down. Or if you can't find any good examples in your ward, you should come check out my ward--LOTS of examples of fashion gone wrong. (Myself included, sadly.)

  32. Funny because after you posted this I saw two new posts from mommy bloggers that are titled "I need" with pictures of the dresses that they "need."

Anyway, when are we going to see MoMatchelor results??

    ReplyDelete
  33. ok tamn this is what i need
    - MoMatchelor updates
    - Yvette updates
    - Ruth update
    - more info about your righteousness like, do you even have food storage? Or is your food storage just coupons for cafe rio?

  34. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have been waiting for someone to call out all the people who do this insane "wish list" blog - as if any of us care what it is that you want that you can't afford. I am so happy right now. I keep thinking you can't get any more accurate, and then you do. Constantly. You never cease to amaze.

    ReplyDelete
  35. lol, I have been known to "unfollow" blogs after as few as 1 post like that. So...in the name of good satire, yes, you should do this. In the name of good blogging...H to the L NO!

    ReplyDelete
  36. You could start a separate blog where your followers could ask you where they can find the totally awesome clothes, home decorating items, accessories, etc. that they see in the pictures on your blog. Sort of a "Gee, I love that pillow. Where did you get it?" Oh wait, that's already being done. Sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Haha... lately I've been thinking there's a certain mormon blogger who has been providing you with a lot of good material lately. Or maybe she's just a sheep and there are a lots more like her.
    Anyway, you rock.

    ReplyDelete
  38. HA HA HA!

I can think of at least three blogs I've seen this on, almost verbatim.

    I adore you.

    ReplyDelete
  39. You are too funny! I have to agree with the others that there is that well known mormon blogger that is providing you with incredible material!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I am guilty of this. But, that is why I like this blog so much. It is all frighteningly true.

    ReplyDelete
  41. TAMN, please oh PLEASE post more pics of EVERYTHING!!! I know for the twinsies privacy and stuff you can't post their cute li'l faces, but maybe like those pictures where they're walking away from mommy in like a serious slash metaphorical way with all the colors totally enhanced to the point of not being recognizable.

And okay, I know your wedding was like forever ago, but I am DYING to know just what you did to make it SOOOO YOU and SOOOO CREATIVE.

PLEASE TAMN!!! It's all well and good to read about your awesome life, but who has time to keep up with words? I need to see it!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Join the crowd, I would totally copy your style!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Ooh, how's your wedding photography biz going? And I've been wondering---what's the REAL difference between Zion and the Mission field??
