talents

Holy stressing --> blessing!

After we drove the Alpine Loop for like the tenth time, I NEEDED delicious homemade roles for dinner, but seen as how I didn't know how, I got the yum recipe from Glamma. Was nervy and felt like bawling but decided to throw myself into the gauntlet and just go for it! I put baby einstien on repeat again, put on heels and a sassy apron, put on the new Colbie, sprinkled flour on my face, took a few self-portraits of myself in the kitchen and went to work.

DRUM ROLLS!!!

On the fifth try I got it perfect! Soo hard but sooo worth it. So good and cute they seriously scream TAMN! Can't WAIT to bake bake bake this fall, blog a photo-tutorial, offer to teach a mini-class for {what was formilly known as} enrichment, and maybe even open a bakery or at least sell roles on etsy!

LOVE talents!

  3. OMG, TAMN! Just think what kind of other talents you didn't know you have! And remember, if you don't try everything and discover them all, you're hiding them under a bushel. {frownsmile}

  7. I'm a little disappointed, Tamn. Rolls = carbs = mcfatty. You don't want to actually LOOK like you have infant twins. Hope you're ready for two extra hours in the gym, tomorrow.

  8. Oh my heck I have a way cuter idea. Our new RS binder has an entire heading for "Role" which weirdly enough just has the attendance sheets in it. I was assuming they want us to create scrapbook pages of ourselves being role-models and put them in to inspire the lamer sisters to do something darling. Why don't you get it started by posing for pictures as a "roll model" -- you know, with JJWT holding up giant cinnamon rolls in a strategic way with you smiling behind it. As you always say, as long as your mipples and dolores are covered, its techniquely modest. My latest vinyl sign says "Domestic Sex Goddess" so maybe you could personify that in YOUR RS role book.

  13. Mhana -- Why can't anyone get role/roll right?

    Anyway, TAMN -- WHERE IS YVETTE GOING?? And why did you have to take self-portraits of yourself? Haven't you taught A. or T. to push the shutter button yet?

  23. I am totally waiting for a movie to come out-based on your life. It would be awesome! It could have a fun feel to it with lots of service like baking for neighbors and stimulating the economies. It could be a better clueless where you help others reach their full potential. Everyone would love it!

  29. I love the part about putting Baby Einstein on repeat (again). It may sound like a silly joke, but I've met women who really put their infants in front of that on repeat.

    So, we're all still waiting for Yvette's announcement!

  30. You keep forgetting to mention how much you love pumpkin. Pumpkin cookies, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pancakes. Seriously, you're a little behind TAMN.

    ReplyDelete
  31. uh tamn, please make note it's not "enrichment" anymore, even though we'll all still call it that and our grandchildren won't know what we're talking about. say it with me, "relief society meeting." blah.

  32. Hahahahaha this one hit home. I think I'll put that making-your-own-babyfood post on the backburner now.....(although in my defense I definitely have made babyfood more than once! lol)

    and where is Yvette going???

    ReplyDelete
  33. While you're busy baking, I am busy FREAKING out about Yvette! where is she going, and can you put the word in to the mish prez there to KEEP HER ON A BIKE so her rump doesn't get ANY larger? So whats the final destination for Yvette?(and can you PUUUHHLEESE give her a cute nickname, like EVI or something?)

  34. Nobody out there has perfected "Hitting to close to home" like TAMN.

    Great blog-teaser ideas turn into absolute perfection in your skillful hands.

    Baby, I CAN see your halo!

  35. Surviving the flu is more bearable because of you TAMN. I think I am going to go get some of those homemade Rhodes "roles" right now too. Nothing makes you feel better quick than homemade goodies.

    ReplyDelete
  38. of course i can make rolls, but now that they sell Rhodes at our local grocery store, i've decided to use them. Because of course once you;ve perfected a talent, you can Mary and Martha it! I use the time to play with the kiddos instead.
