update!

Sorry I haven't blogged in FOREVER how EMBARASSING! Way stressful trying to find the time bc i'm way to busy elfing myself, plus today was my turn to conduct the pre-pre-school for the under a year kids in our ward/neighborhood {same thing} and Alivyiah & Tridger & all they're darling friends had a great time and learned tons about Christmas bc seriously, LOVE CRAFTS and can I just say,

Funnest activity ever! Honestly putting the lesson together was SO hard but SO worth it, we spelt each of the kids name in wood letters and then just glittered the crap out of them, super nice that two of the MiaMaids who it's break so I didn't even have to check them out this time came to watch the kids while the other mom's and me worked on the preschool project so each little darling could go home with that precious memory and the knowlege that glue and glitter IS christmas.

So magical.

  2. I haven't started MY Christmas shopping. Sad :S

We're having a little party tonight and I'm wondering... what are the goodies of choice in Zion these days? (We're out in the mission field... but try to make it feel like home when we can)

  3. I'm pretty sure you were trying to say something, but I have no idea what it was!

  4. "Also finally finished all my Christmas shopping! Now I just have to get stuff for everyone eltse and I'll be done."

This line is worth the price of the entire subscription!

  6. Glue and glitter? Aren't you leaving out the Huginormous Reason for the Season? Where are the BOWS?????

Oh, they're glittered. My mistake. Carry on.

(And thank goodness your shopping is done. I guess prezzies are like those oxygen masks. There is NO POINT in helping other people if you didn't help yourself first.)

  7. So dead on it's scary. I love that the MiaMaids watched the kids DURING THE PRESCHOOL LESSON so that you guys could do your craft, i mean, THE KIDS' craft.

Good luck picking stuff out for everyone else now.

  9. Sounds like the babies learned some really deep, profound, meaningful lessons from that craft you and the other mom's did.

  11. I can't believe you didn't mention how glad you are that finals week is over and how it was so stressful even though you didn't take any finals!

  12. PLZZZ tell me that you're tree is fake and iridescent or at least you have a bunch of tiny tinsel trees all over your house. Also, stuffed snowmen, apothecary jars full of glittery ornaments, blocks to remind us to remember the reason for the season (without actually stating what that reason is), fake snow around fake candles with LED lights inside, a sleigh with candy (not that you eat it) and garlands made of all the Christmas cards people sent you after receiving your glittery gem?! I just RILLY want to picture your holiday daycor since you won't post darling pics of your home. Pout.

  18. I love that two of the "sentences" were like 8 lines long. So true - people often just type like they speak.

  19. That annoying detail of having to shop for other people is really the werst.

  20. Will someone tell me what "elfing" means? I've never seen it before today, and the other place I saw it, it was clearly a euphemism for, um, the F-word.

  23. Oh poor Julia. It is this nauseating site whereat you can put a picture of your head on a dancing elf and email it to everyone you know. Elf yourself by OfficeMax.

  25. There's something seriously wrong with listening to Jessica Simpson Sing "Breath of Heaven" as if she is Mary....

  26. so... regifting is totally kosher if one just tars the carp out of it with glitter, right?

  27. TAMN I'm glad your into the glitter projects, but I'm so disappointed that you haven't posted your family brag Christmas letter yet detailing all of your AmAzInG accomplishments this year. Don't you know that no one mails those out anymore? They post them on there blogs...

  28. I have had plenty of time to get my shopping done bcuz reading your blog saves me the time needed to read all the others. you nail it so sucksinktly. P.S. if you elf yourself, do you have to talk to the bishop?

  29. I love how you "conduct" preschool, like it's an RS meeting or something. {same thing}

  30. Ahhhh... but was the glitter ultra fine glitter or the regular stuff? The regular stuff is not cute. Ultra fine is WAY more cuter! Plus, you find it all over the place for six months after you touch it! It's like rediscovering the holiday!!

  31. Christmas break is awesome right? I'm saving a ton of gas not driving over to the school to check out the mia maids when I need a sitter too! Today I made cookies with editable glitter for the whole ward while the mias were here. Hope you like yours!

  32. "ward/neighborhood {same thing}".

  34. I'm sure those pre-pre-school kids (babies) so appreciated making glittered letters of their names and were VERY involved in the whole process! LOL
