bday letter to twinsies

My darling Alivyiah & rough n tumble Tridger,

Seems like just yesterday you were first potty trained and talking slash signing and doing multiplications and now your already TEN mos old! Isn't that CRAZY??? Some memries: You poop like such champs, total priviledge to keep track a the variations in your feeces and tell everyone as the textures and colors change, lol. You are both so EASY and EASY GOING and NEVER CRY bc crying is a sign of bad moms, and you are so LAID BACK 110% OF THE TIME.

So greatful for Your Baby Can Read and einsteins and the etsy handmade pledge and all the other brands that have made these month's so fun. Way hard being away from you on this suprise vaycay, miss you tons, even thought about you TWICE yesterday, felt sooooo bad when I realized I had a boy in spring which is just sad bc Tridge you won't be the oldest and biggest in your grade plus then we can't sneakily hold you back bc your bday makes it to obvious. Sorry I didn't think it thru sooner. Hopefuly all the fruit snacks I left w/ Glamma for you and all the times I wave at you thru the childcare window at the gym make up for it.

So exited only TWO MONTHS TIL YOUR FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTAY! i honestly have like eighty idizz for themes and games for all your freinds and goodie bags will definately have it professionaly photographed plus post blog tutorials about everything but be sure to emphasise we KEPT IT SIMPLE.

love always,
Mommy.

p.s. wish you were here but not bad enough to ever take you, lol!

  5. I have to be honest. This might be my favorite post in a long time. This and the single mom post. I love it when people say that they kept a party simple and then go on to explain the elaborate plans they made for a child who will never remember or care about the event.

  7. Love it. I also love that I think I did it right and had my girl in the summer so she can be all tiny and cute and young in her class, and my son in the fall so he is the older bigger one. Thanks for making me realize that! 27 months apart, but 3 years in school. Awesome. Have fun on your vaca!

  9. Ohmygosh how precious would it be to tell your next child he/she/they were consieved all sexy like in the sand like from here to eternity which in my opinion is proof of what eternal nuzzling should be like. You should seriously "see what happens"!!! I have to say my biggest fear as a future mother in zion is that one of my children will come on any of the following days of a month
5: My birthday/month birthdays -- hate to overglam but can't help it!
1-7 -- what if it falls on a fast Sunday? Fer ucky Birthdays!!!
13 -- monthiversary of first date
    20 -- monthiversary of wedding
24 -- monthiversary of first kiss
    27 -- monthiversary of engagement

Plus as the kiddies add up they'll add THERE monthiversaries and soon are calender will be toadily filled! I don't know how you busy mom's do it. Soo tricky to plan for wee ones when there are so many wrong days (not to mention wrong months!) to have babies. Seriously, I can't believe people even ask when we're gonna multiply when ObViOuSLy it would take a MATH WHIZZ just to figure out when it was OK!!!!

Sorry about the ramble, its just I haven't commented in SO LONG.

  10. Yes, definitely keep the party simple... just the basics: decor on the first level of your house only and little up the stairs, goody bags for everyone, including the parents, but just with stuff related to your theme... keep it under 500 dollars and you can feel good about being smart financially by staying in your budget.

  11. Just yesterday I was thinking how my two end-of-July-birthday boys will always be youngest in their class and wondering if I should have held the 7th-grader back before kindergarten. Thanks for shaking those thoughts right out of me.

GLAD YOU ARE HAVING FUN ON YOUR VACAY!! YOU DESERVED A BREAK!!!! I THROUGH A FEW DISHES AT MY HUBBY IN YOUR HONOR!!!!

  12. I only have 8 months to plan my baby's 1st birthday party. Good thing you wrote this so I could get started trying to keep up with you even though I never will be able to.

  15. What does it say about me that I skipped over "Window to His Love" because it was breaking the mood for the impromptu dance party my 10 month old son and I were having to your blog music? Pretty sure I'm going straight to H-E-double hockey sticks for that one...

Also, I love the last line "p.s. wish you were here but not bad enough to ever take you, lol!" - classic

  16. I'm sure your twinsies felt so proud to have such an awesome mommy as Glamma read this letter to them on her iPhone. They're seriously so blessed to have a mom that spared TWO thoughts for them yesterday on her VayCay!

  22. TAMN! It's doppleganger week on facebook. I totally want to know what celeb you've been told you look like!

  23. Don't hold Tridger back, TAMN. Think it through! If you hold him back then Livs will be a grade older than him and SHE will look like the smart one.

  24. Keep it simple, are you cRaZy? This is year one! Don't hold back!!!!

You should definitely rent Thanksgiving Point! SO cute- photos with the cool air and fresh spring clothes!

  26. You will just have to start Tridger on club sports that much sooner!

  27. Quick question - what happens if Alivyiah grows up to be a tantrum (I mean, dish) thrower? Do you and her go on a Mommy & Me cruise? Send her on a singles cruise when she's 16? Or tell her she has to wait til she's married to throw dishes???

  28. I have to laugh Tamn! I did a post last week about DIY birthday party decorations!!! And we did go away for our 5th anniversary, but I loved Collin and although we were happy to get away, every couple needs us time!!!
