ginorm diffrence

This AM, on my 4th rep of 100 crunches I started being all deep. Tons of you know that we've been thinking about getting preggo for over a month. Everyone is like, why now TAMN, you have two 6 months olds cuter then everyone eltse's babies combined, wait a little, your so young, quit whinning when you've only tried for a month and 'technicly' wouldn't even 'know' yet if you were preggy.

Thanx but, rude.

I am NOT being selfish or immature about this and if you think I am your the immature one, rubber glue. You don't know how bad I miss my floating fetus widget! Or how nice it is not to force yourself to puke bc it starts to just happen on it's own. Or how much I miss taking b&w pics of my baby bump w/ JJWT and I's hands forming a gentle heart around my outtie. Do you seriously want me to just inch closer and closer to thirty when your eggs get all shrively?

But at the same time, if we wait, I could do tons more marathons and tri's and leave my breastfeeding ticker up longer to look like a better mom. Total catch 32.

Announcement: instead of officially trying, we're now just going to see what happens.

  1. Sorry for your struggle Tamn. It must be SO hard to decide. You know, really good mommies can nurse and be adorably small and prego at the same time. You don't want your kids spread so far apart that they won't be able to do everything together and double date when they're fifteen and a half. I've heard that if you spread them out more than eighteen months, it's like having an A and a B family.

  2. Thanks for putting all things in there prespectiveness. I was thinking about Brock winning a prize for doing nothing, the moon being bombed for no good reason at all and you, in your richusness, remind me that the biggest blessing of being preggers is puking without having to try. You are truly a Zion woman.

  3. I like the "see what happens" because it sounds like you too are just like two scientists or something doing an experiment which in a darling way you are, seeing who's jeans are dominant. I like to tell people we're "trying to beat the odds" -- there is a .1% chance of getting pregnant on birth control after all. So we'll just see what happens if I continue to take birth control for several years while my uterus shrivels like a raisin and my boobs sag without the righteous justification of suckling heaven-scent young.

  4. What a trial for you. How do you remain so Christlike despite everyone's selfishness/RUDEness? Don't Stop Believin', just like the Glee song says. (And maybe you should start on chlomid if it's been like 30 whole days).

  5. Those catch 32's are a toffi! You should totally wait to see what happens then you can announce that you and JJWT are so rightous you didn't even have to "try" to conceive it just happened!

  7. More Beyonce on your playlist makes you look fierce!

Um, you don't do tri's through your first two trimesters of pregnancy? oh.

  11. Yeah, I just love feeling sick all day too. Not only do you lose weight, but everyone is, like, all sorry for you and stuff, and people come clean your bathrooms for you, because your too sick to do it yourself. And maybe they bring food for the hubby, bc its sooo hard to cook. So, bring on the morning sickness and the redbox.

Just thinking about all that STUFF makes me baby hungry, too!

  15. TAMN, this is seriously, so smart! If God wants you preggers, he'll make it happen. Then, when you're all overwhelmed, you can say, "Hey. I never wanted all these kids. The Lord just sent them to me." And no one can judge you--for having them, for ignoring them, or whatever. Because who wants to argue with God?

  16. Loonnnggggg time ago Dolly Parton said she doesn't jog cuz she'd give herself a black eye. Unless you have an industrial strength bra, I'd rethink running marathons whilst you're still lacktating.

  17. I love you and I love the new music trax. I knew someone as richteous as you would lurve Glee!

  18. Well done, TAMN. But, seriously, you should've upped it a little more to a catch-42 or 52 at least.

  22. Fetus widgets are way funner/cuter than breasfeeding tickers, just sayin'.

  23. This glee version of 'Don't Stop Believin' has been in my head for weeks. Including while I'm at church. And I still love it!!

Tamn, you're probly way too young and hip to remember the first version from Journey, but I like this even better. Cause I'm old and boring and frumpy, not at all like you.

  24. Shrively eggs! Haha, my grandmother is always calling my eggs old, I'll have to let her know she can add shrively to the repitore.

  25. TAMN, I rilly miss seeing your fetus widget. I would always come on your blog and watch it grow and think "someday this will be a rilly uniquely named baby of TAMNs with either a huge bow or adorable fohawk."

  26. Not 2 b judge mental and all [frownsmile], but I fill that it mite b 2 soon 2 "jest c what happens". Don't u think Holy Father wants u 2 wate? Sweater season is right around the corner, after all.

oh, and that new Believeen Song by Glee is the best. So uplifteen and spirchul!

  27. Well, 32 is defiantly catchier.

  28. "Seeing what happens" when you're not using a contraceptive is definately trying.

  29. Somehow I knew you'd be into Glee. Somehow.

  30. TAMN, you seem awful moody today. I think you might be PMSing.

Don't worry, hun. There's a floating fetus widget in the Spirit World just waiting to fly down.

    ReplyDelete
  31. You know, when things don't happen right away, it's because God wants us to learn something. I'm sure if you thought hard enough you could think of a very specific reason why the world would be a worse place if your next twins had been conceived last month. God is like that.

It's so great that you've just decided to let it happen. That's definitely the spiritual way to do things. God doesn't like effort!

  32. God's will! It's in his hands now!

  33. i love you, tamn. you always know how to put things into proper perspective. thank you!

  34. Let's be honest with ourselves: if you're talking about popping out another baby (or two--seein' how twinsies run in the fam) so soon after delivering your last feti, you'll be reproducing well into your 30s. Probably have a round dozen, right? Nothing wrong with that...just sayin.

  35. b&w photos of outties, floating fetus widgets, detailed reports from the down-there doc, puking without trying --- being preggo is totally great. I hope you find yourself "in the family way" very soon. Stay strong and endure this trail of barrenness. You won't be infertile forever. Love you, XOXO -- D.

    ReplyDelete
  36. TAMN, whoever you are, I truly love you, with ever fiber of my being. And I'm not just sayin' that. This once DH and I "tried" for about an entire week, and it really gave me a perspective on how people with fertility problems must feel. Now when they complain to me I can just give them the biggest frown smile and tell them my own struggles with infertility. I mean, my first two are 12 months and 3 days apart. Can you imagine how much better it would have been if they were 11 months and 3 days apart? MUCH better bragging rights, ya know! So don't tell me I don't get it, I'm right there with you people!

  37. Mhana -- Weird! We're totally on the same plan! I read a blog post today that said a woman's eggs deplete from best to worst in quality each year. My kids are doomed by the time we get to their eggs.

Daltongirl -- you are brilliant ... "And no one can judge you--for having them, for ignoring them, or whatever." Suddenly a former neighborhood makes so much more sense!

    ReplyDelete
  38. TAMN, this is really serious. Your eggs are going sour by the nanosecond. You regained a little of the time you lost faithfully waiting for your missionary by having twins, but honestly... I won't even look at blogs that don't have a floating fetus widget. In fact, I'm going to set up a filter.

  39. Instead of trying to puke?! I am dying. If only I was worthy to be your friend. Oh, how covet your culture! So much to love, so much to say inappropriate things about.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I love how you're not trying but not preventing either.

That way, it's totally God's decision, and He's the best!

and you can still breastfeed and be preggo.. how much cuter would the bf and preggo tickers be together?!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yikes! I'm worried about my "eggs getting all shrively."

    ReplyDelete
  42. Umm, TAMN... an outtie? Just sayin'-- sick!

    ReplyDelete
  43. "Seeing what happens" rulez! Cuz if it happens, it was a blessing and not an axident. But if nothing happens, you have been chosen to surve in other ways! Way to turn that catch 32 into a win-win! Covey should be consulting you for his next book!

  44. So I ran a relay race this weekend and one of my "favorite" conversations involved one of the girls in my van saying that she wanted to get pregnant, but she was in the best shape of her life right now and she wanted to run a marathon so she should wait. Sometime later on in the relay she told us she might be pregnant. Good work TAMN, were you stalking us this weekend?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Hah, catch-32. Because a catch-22 would just be too lame for TAMN, she'd need to take it to the next level.

  46. There is a girl/lady in my ward that could be you. To a T. Who knows... maybe it IS you!!! :)

  47. Wow. I gave up blogging for 6 months and now I've totally lost my enjoyment in it since reading your blog last year.
But I'm glad you can make enough income that you don't have to work and can go to school, because you do seem to have a gift for writing a humorous column. Way to go, my hat is like, totally off to you.
