Me + JJWT + Fetus = 3

The best things in life are three! :) I tag YOU.

3 joys:
1. The J-J-Dub-T rubbing my feet and feeling our baby kick. Other people say they don't feel it for like four more months but luckily I happen to be in tuned.
2. My young womens.
3.
Shopping, candles, stampin', Anthro, eyeliner, my flat iron, Cheesecake, my ipod, gum, Slimfast, mani/pedis, roses, my new iphone, and other simple things in life...doesn't take much to keep me happy!

3 current goals:
1.
Find a cute project now that I FINALLY quit my job and only have 8 mos to get ready for my darling baby...any idiz?
2.
Run a one-eighth marathon! (Some people call it a "fivekay" but whatev).
3. Eliminate all frowning, other than the frownsmile which is useful at church when someone shares a neat forward or tender good news minute.

3 random facts:
1. Love calling my favorite country music artists by their first name, makes it seem like we're the closest ever which we are...Tim, Keith, Taylor, Carrie...AMAZING!
2. Sometimes I write very personal beautiful poems to JJWT and hang them everywhere. So private and special that I wouldn't dare post them unless you like begged me and would do so way reluctant.
3. High maintenance girls give me SUCH a ginormous headache.

3 current obsessions:
1.
Mary-Kate and Ashley movies, weird I know.
2. Thelympics! Just have to admitt, Mikey Phelps is my guilty pleasure, and if I weren't married AND if he knew about the plan, I'd totally nab him! LOL, I wonder if he has a cool truck. We have tonz in common bc I use to be good at swimming too (the metals are still on my parent's mantle) BUT unlike Mikey I quit bc huge shoulders and thighs are hot for boys and gross for girls and who wants to be gross? Anyways, love him! Go Merica and go Mikey! It would be SO COOL to be there, China just seems so asian and asian is awesome. Last summer I got a henna tattoo on my ankle that said "Bubbly" in asian and looked so hardcore.
3. Breaking Dawn!!! Can we talk about how weird/cool the breaking-out-of-a-hard-placenta thing was yet or am I still not allowed bc you're taking FOREVER to read it!?
Just dying to say that vampire babies are cool, but how do they fit in the plan?? I mean, are they even accountable?

I can't thank you enough for writing "idiz". My most hated manifestation of the dreaded Utah accent!

I just love MK and Ashley Olsen movies!!!! When MK was supposedly going through anorexia slash drug abuse, I was totes on her side!!!! Team MK!!!! She would never do any of that icky stuff.

I LOVE MIKEY PHELPS! And you're so right, the asian language is beautiful.

Thank goodness you love the simple things in life.

My favorite Olympian is Rulon Gardner. I don't like to tell many people this, but I actually got to touch his gold medal. And that's not a euphemism (big word, sorry.)

And he has a ginormous truck, which I'm SURE isn't to make up for lacking anything. He probably just likes it. Yeah, that's it.

This blog reminds me of "What Mormons Like" another very witty blog of this vein. It is true that in Mormon culture there are a host of idiosyncracies, traditions and trivialities that are distasteful, unnecessary and frivolous. I would just like to thank those reading this blog who are not blind to these elements of membership, but who spend their time quietly trying to personify the good and the right and the true of Mormonism. I see you, and even though the so-called "Mormon intelligencia" doesn't believe it, I know you are aware of these annoying non-substantive "add-ons" to the faith. Nevertheless, you choose to emulate the essentials. I believe that creators of blogs such as these usually have testimonies, and are typically faithful members of the Church. I sometimes wonder how much good could be done, however; if they spent their time and efforts trying to personify the true, undiluted Mormon, rather than in pointing out all the incremental dilutions. Heaven knows I am diluted enough myself.

Those vampire babes totally fit into the plan-you know that "family thing" us mormons do, not only that they already have the forever part down! To think some people are not done reading BD yet, seriously, you are way behind the times. You should be finishing it for at least the 2nd time at this point!:)

Thanks for all the laughs! Love the blog!

I think that name "R..en..ees..what?" should automatically deny access to the plan...well, maybe just her mother, it is really not her fault after all.

SAHM: Surviving Assorted Home Mayhem said...

and the comments keep getting funnier and funnier.....

The Schump said...

Thank you for dignifying my comment. Former British Prime Minister Margeret Thatcher once commented that she loved being attacked personally, because that's when she knew she was right.

You are very clever, SAHM, but to the extent that your personal validation is hung up with "So Seriously...", I see it as a misallocation of resources. There is a shortage of very good novels and screenplays out there--why not chalk "So Seriously" up as good experience and create something more lasting? And, more praiseworthy.

It is easy enough to put together short little hip-shots of wit--I think you can do better. Forgive me for having expectations.

TAMN, Since we're bffs, I feel like I need to take it upon myself to tell you that your blog's background is super plain. But don't worry gurl, I'll help you out. You should go to cutestblogontheblock.blogspot.com. They have the cutest, most awesome backgrounds that aren't tacky at all! Serious! They are WAY crafty looking and I just know that you would love them. You're welcome!Love you gurl!

Vamp babies are totaly eternal. Especially with little nesme trying to be so acountable and not bite her gramps and Jake. The same with Edward and Bells waiting til they were married even though they totaly don't share our beliefs. I'm just gonna pray that a super spiritual missionary finds them up in forks before they move.

Becky said...

OMG-I can't believe you got a tatoo! I don't know if I can look up to you anymore, unless of course you got rid of it, which I'm sure you did- or if you got it replaced with a tatoo that says CTR or Follow the Prophet or something like that.

Sarah said...

My super adorable boyfriend told me Breaking Dawn (totally the best book like ever and it makes me think people who don't know the plan still totaly have morals) should be called "Mormon Vampire Porn." I told him he was probably going to H-E-double hockey sticks for saying that.

Also, Mikey Phelps is totaly HOTNESS! Plus, he has totaly great abs. How could you say no?

PLUS, since he's all sporty you could probably hang out all day in sweatpants (with cool sayings on the bum) and he wouldn't even NOTICE slash CARE!

Brittany said...

I was totally bumbed to finish Breaking Dawn. I was sO toTaLLy jeluss that Bella got married at 18 and just had a baby and never had to work. UGH!!!
PS: Can I be your project? I don't have ANY cute shoes and I'm totally frumpy!

Ok, anyways, since you tagged me:
3 goals: 1) Finish reading The Host. I don't like it but I will pretend I do. 2)Be YW Prez! Its like totally being the head cheerleader of the ward! Vote for me k? and 3) Learn to speak Mexican. (I'd LOVE to be able to find out what my JJWT says to his RM friends -I know he's just saying SUPERCUTE things about me to them- and plus, I love spanish people.)

3 random facts:
1)I think everyone is a sWeEtHeaRt!!
2)I want to be a children's book author!
3)I was "Snow White" on the Disney Princess test.

3 Current obsessions:
1)Daybreak, Eagle Mountain and Herriman! I can't decide where to build our McMansion that we will fourclose on next year!
2) Going green! I totally love the invierment.
3) Country music! I love it too, but I love Joshua Creek. They sing about single cowboys with baby carriers in pick-up trucks! Awwww, that totally appeals to me!!!

So edward and bella got married and had a baby in the book? And she is still not a vampire I guess???? Since I will never read that book, I wish someone would write a VERY short cliff's notes version. EWWW that song "tears on my guitar" has the D word in it...so I have to turn my speakers down when I visit your blog. Boo

I can't picture you being a slave to the 9-5 and actually working! Tamn you must clear the air!

"it said 'bubbly' in asian"--HILARIOUS! Thanks! And I frills agree with her about high-maintenance girls. And totally, who wants to be gross? Ewwww!

Amy Joy said...

Seriously, SO funny. Thank you for the good laugh not the evil, bad kind. I'm not laughing at anyone or anything like that.

TAMN you Totally have to move up the Five-kay on your list. I just got super inspired by all the girls I know who run for like, a long time, and so I decided to run a 1/8th myself. It was like, totally life changing-plus I ran thorugh Lavender fields so I was like, kind of having aromatherapy when I wasn't panting. I know one of the women who won the older age category, and she is super righteous and grows her own veggies so she totally deserved to
win. I hope when I am in my 50's I am still running and maybe even do a 1/4 of a marathon- I think a Tin-kay- because that would give me double the time to be revelated
and realize the gifts I never knew I had.

TAMN, please, please post your super-speshul poetry! Cause, like, you and JJWT are SUCH an exampel to me of a spirichul, richtus relashunship, so anything you write about your relashunship would be spirichul too, and like scripture! And I would TOTALLY print out yur poetry and put it in my scriptures to remind myself how hard I need to work to be really richtus. Puh-LEASE?

Oh, and your background is SO not plain. It's white, which is like, pure and stuff, so it totally maches you and your totally pure self!

Heart you tons!

A few thoughts:

My seriously so hot DH also speaks the Asian language. He writes little notes to me in Asian and I just LOVE it. And watching the 'Alympics' just make me want to go eat at Panda Express everyday! But not the breaded stuff-- that's not good for losing ell bees.

And on a more serious(ly) note:

Schump-- I actually think this blog does make me a better mormon. Whenever I read my friends' blogs and see them bragging about all the things they buy and how great their hubby's are (I would put mine up against theirs anyday-- he's a stud); I don't get jealous. I don't have evil, covetous, hateful, or spiteful feelings. I just think about this blog and how NEAT and WONDERFUL it is that people want to share their testimonies about being blessed!!! It just puts a smile on my face. How can that make you sad about our religion? Seriously. We are SO BLESSED! ((Smirk.))

Wowie Wow Wow! There are some serious heavy comments going on here! TAMN, who knew you had so many deep friends besides me?? I just love when people have diffurnt opinions---it makes life as flavorful as an ice cream saturday. See, told you I was deep!

No way! Kristina, I totally touched his gold metal too! And shook his hand and met him. But so what!

TAMN, I'm totally ready for your commentary on Breaking Dawn. I can't wait to hear/read it! And I'll just answer to Ashley for you, kay?! Or I guess you could wait till Saturday, that would give everyone 2 WHOLE weeks to have read it!

i totally think a vampire baby is part of the plan. i mean if you get prego after just 17 days of "nuzzling" it must be a divine baby!! you and bella are so righteous.

OK, I loved your blog. I thought you were for realz! really. Now, I realize you are making fun of me and my sad life, but I can totally laugh at myself! Mikey is also my guilty pleasure. That man can' be 100% human!!!!

GladysIcanbee said...

Thelympics are so totally inspiring and I hope the missionaries can be in China soon. Isn't Mikey the hottest! I think he was 4dained to be a medal winner and set the example. I am a teentsybit disappinted in other members/athletes who broke the sabbath and competed. Metals are pretty but only earthly. Celestial glory, not Gold, are what counts. Now who am I going to invite to speak at Youth Conference? Oh, and how about those totally cute (is that allowed?!) behinds on the men's gymnastic guys!!! Oh, TAMN and JJWT, clearly your baby has a special mission to perform and he's just letting you know he's anxious to get started. You should probably start reviewing the mission discussions each night so he'll be ready when China opens up.

Token Asian Friend said...

Who said anything about the Lympics being in China. They are in ASIA. In Beige-ing

I found my 3 current obsessions:

1) Chunky jewelry! Sometimes I put like 20 chunky bracelets on my arms just because.
2) Big huge flowers on little baby heads. It's like they were planted there by little naked angel cherubs.
3) TAMN...but then again, aren't we all?

The Mostess said...

OMGosh...frillz, this is hilarious. Flat irons are totally inspired, BTW.

Mrs. Clark said...

Sarah, henna tattoos are temporary; I know TAMN would NEVER do something contrary to the Prophet's advice!

As for the name Renesmee--Stephenie Meyer shows her Mormon roots (or ruts, in Utahneeics) with that combination name and the kid's middle name Carlie (for Carlisle and Charles). Can we emphasize more the baby's half-mortal, half-vampire heriteege?

Oh, and gotta put in a plug for my website, the Utah Baby Namer. TAMN, you might want to use the New Names for the New Millenium matrix to come up with a name for JJWT's little stud.

Mrs. Clark said...

Oops, my bad, I should've directed my remark to Becky, not Sarah.

Please tell me that I'm not the only one that can't get past Michael's jacked up teeth. PLEASE.

Oh Izzy, even though I heart Mikey, I can't get past those jacked up teeth either! Frillz!

I would def nab mikey too if he had gone on a mishun because you should only marry mishunaries cause then you can brag to your friends about how more spirichul you are than them becuz they married converts. like seriously there husbands did even spread the gospel to those like bella and edward and reneesme so they could be accountable.
i love MK and Ash movies! they are so talented and sooooooo smart not to be fat!
