you're questions: fights and modesty

Kristen asked, "Do you and JJWT fight? How do you guys handle arguments?"

(deep breath). Umm...AWKWARD. Okay, love you and know you didn't mean to be mean, but not to rude, but the fact that you even asked that shows me that you obviously don't know us very well nor do you know what we stand for slash hold dear. Seriously guys, talk about two pees in a pod. Our twins are gonna have the best fam lifes EVER. Know how some people say, "We don't argue, we just disagree"? Our ever after is so happily we don't even DISAGREE--our opinions slash preferences slash desires may DIFFER, but we defiantly don't disagree. We don't clash...we VARY. Being blessed with maturity and love is SO awesome, but it's sad too, because then WE have the challenge of not being able to relate when OTHERS talk about the challenges of marriage, so our perpetual ever-increasing bliss is actually lonely, in a kick-A burden-of-the-chosen sort of way. Sigh. SO greatful for the faith I have to pray for the patience to deal with our blessings.

Honolua88 asked, "How do I tell a modest bikini from an immodest one? Cuz I wanna look super sassy, but not skanky."

Modesty and fashion do NOT have to contradict thanx to this easy rule of thumb...the way to tell is simple, but it involves something yucky and gross-sounding that I don't want to type, but as long as it's covered, your TOTALLY modest. Rhymes with mipple.

Ripple? You have to cover your ripple??

Me and my hub don't even VARY. We are LITERAL pees in a pod...um....what does that even mean?

TAMN, you and JJWT are a true shining example of what a married couple should be like. I once told my hubby that I thought he should wear a green tie instead of a blue one, to church, and now I feel bad and that I would have disagreed with his choice in ties. I should probably go repent. This clearly signifies huge problems in our relationship.

Thanks for keeping it real.

Are you sure it doesn't rhyme with Dolores?

Tamn, are you on facebook? I totally want to add you as a friend.

Totally! I never know what to say in RS when everyone talks about fighting with their husband. Perfection is a lonely life, isn't it?

or you can go this route with the whole swimming suit thing... totally modest and totally sexy!

What about the "variance" over the milk in the grocery store a couple of months ago?

S0-

I have to comment...

Modest bikini- Come on guys, if you belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, then a bikini doesn't even fit into the modest catagory in my opinion.

Congrats on the Twins..

my 5 month baby was a twin too, unfortantly the twin died, and worse I had to carry to delivery with it like that way, but they were in two sacs so it didn't effect the other... if you want to read my story about it, go to my blog

Ohhh, praying for pateince to handle all your many blessings! What a GOOD idea!

I'm going to go try it right now!

I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOUR TWINS, AND YOUR VARYING OPINIONS!

I'm with Rachael, I just have no idea what you're hinting about. Your triple? Their are three places to cover? Tipple? You shouldn't drink moderately in your swimsuit? Sometimes you're just to suttle for me! Something I think is real important to share with your Young Womens is how you never disagree with your hubby, but you fought all the time with your witchy sisters growing up who totally took your clothes and ruined them. That way they'll know marriage changes EVERYTHING if its in the temple! Yay for Eternal BFFdom!

Not to be rude, but I'm so sensitive to kindness that even DIFFERING makes me cry. It's sad that you're numb to that.

My bikini only reveals a tiny bit of my mipple but I still got a ton of judgmental stares at the ward pool party last month.

My hubby and I don't fight, either. He always does what I tell him to do.

Sorry you and your angelbabe don't argue. Its to bad that you are missing out on some of the best nuzzling of your life. Makes me sad...

Mipple! Hilarious. Are you sure it doesn't rhyme with Mulva?

I think devri doesn't get satire...

Question for you: How is it possible to be such a super optimist? Is it that your life is too perfect that you don't ever have anything to get down about? or is it that you just have a really positive outlook on everything that comes your way?

Okay- quick pool and water fashion tip.

You can wear a totally HOT bikini and just throw a super cool white tank top over it. Sure when it gets wet it can be a little see through, but you are covered underneath there.... and it just looks cool, you know, like you don't care how hot you are and if someone bothers to notice, well "Whoopsy! Can't help it that my hot bumcheeks look good in a string bikini under this see through top! Why are you staring anyway?"

So humble and nonchalant.
.. and don't forget the waterproof mascara. Albino eyes are SO out.

I have nothing clever to say. But this is the best post yet.

i'd love that burden.

I am not sure what I luv more, your posts or the responses from people who just don't get it. I guess there are just those sweet souls who are too sweet and special for laughs like these. I am glad that I have some things that are worth being prideful over, I mean proud of...like a sense of humor. Love your blog! I laugh every time!

So true...I can totally relate to not fighting with my EC. We don't really even have disagreements or differing points of view, he just knows and acknowledges that I'm right, and I ackonwledge that as the priesthood holder and head of our eternal family he is entitled to the revelation to know that I am right. This has worked for the whole time we've been married. Of course by not having disagreements, we miss out on all that make up nuzzling.

As for the modest bikini, you nailed it girlfriends. Mulva and Dolores need to keep their dimples covered.

Nikki said...

gladysicanbee, I sense a t-shirt coming!! 'mulva and dolores need to keep their dimples covered'...

I have a question. With confrince coming up, What do you do to help you feel spiritchal and help evryone around you know U feel spiritchal. IOW, what's on you're confince Bingo card? Thanks and luv 2 ya!

As a non-Mormon reader of Mormon mommy blogs I have to say you are right on the money with your satirical take on them. One thing you haven't done is post a picture of your new haircut and say how you're just not sure about it. Then all of your friends can comment about how freaking and stinking cute and hot you look in your new do. Thanks so much for the great laughs.

I keep reading your posts because I think they are funny in a sarcastic way. But, with your life so perfect...how are you going to handle a challenge or bump in the road? If something bad does happens to you... and I totally hope nothing does... are you prepared for the reality that the so called unperfect rest of us face every day? I hope that all your readers will be there for you then.

How disappointing that you would even discuss the issue of bikini's. If it is termed a BIKINI it is NOT appropriate. Let's not make a gray area out of a completely black and white one.

My EC and I don't fight, either. Sometimes we pretend to so we can have some of that that "amazing nuzzle time".

Kayla Cooks said...

I totally agree on the t-shirt idea! That is awesome! I will be first in line for that one.

AS Amber said...

I have to agree with gransons. Some people just don't understand how seriously clever and witty and hilarious you are!! Too bad sarcasm and satire are entirely wasted on some people. Seriously love your blog! Seriously can't wait to read the continuing saga of you and your seriously so blessed life!!!

I can't help but laugh thinking about your "burden" of not being able to relate to other women who have some marital strife, lol! Love your blog Tamn!

It's unforchunate that some guys can't see past the letter of the law. To be modest is to show our body-temples respect. And showing off hot bodies is SO respectful! I mean if your sad enough to not be super skinny--well, then you're problem isn't with modesty, it's with the W of W.

(Um, people, it's all a JOKE!!)

Stephanie said...

I have a lot of respect for you and everything but, TAMN, I just hafta say it.... you can't spell. I'd be happy to go over the differences between 'you're' and 'your', 'there', 'their' and 'they're', 'then' and 'than', etc. any time you want.... Frills.

Oh, yeah, and it's okay to say "nipple" and even "ovary" and even even "manberries." I totally promise.

LOVE THE BLOG! stumbled across it two hours ago and have been trying to pull myself away ever since. too hilarious. congrats on the enormous success of it.

What's rill hard is find sich funny stuff online and then having the burden of us being the OnLy ones who find it the BeStEsT ever. K, everyone, keep our friends Devri and Jess in your prayers. Maybe we could get together and make cookies which we'd paint to look smiley faces and then put a card with it (bring your scrapbooking supplies, sisters) and the card would say something super cute and awesome. Like, "WWTD [What would TAMN do?]? Turn that frowny face into a smile." We'll doorbell-ditch Devri and Jess...or come singing an uplifting Janice Kapp Perry song. Who's with me?

Oh and also. When it comes to modest bikinis, I'm so with TAMN. I took TAMN's super-darling motto and added to it: "Modest is hottest, but a little nuder is a lot cuter!" It totally works.

Anonymous said...

Don't forget "momslikeme." We have to doorbell-ditch "momslikeme," too! She needs our luv and support, 2. Let's make those PB cookies with the Hershey's kisses, K.

Jesse said...

Ooohhh! Is that why I keep getting ding-dong ditched cookies left at my door? Bcs I'm totally judgemental and have no sense of humor?!? I thought it was bcs people actually liked me. Bummer. FYI, I like the cookies-on-a-stick the bestest, since you can eat them w one hand and still point judgementally at others. Also, great tip, you can use the left-over sticks as tweezers to pull mote out of your neighbor's eye.

Gripple? Clipple? Sipple?

Dimple? Like it has to cover my face?

Nicole said...

oh my gosh, i'm dying laughter.

my take on the bikini. one simple rule. it's only immodest if you have big boobs. am i allowed to say that?

TAMN you crack me up!
