shower the ppl you lurve w/ lurve

MY SHOWER ROCKED!!! Thanx for loving my invites...everyone else did too!!

Know what's awesome?

Pretending every get-together in my life is like a wedding reception!!!

For anyone that didn't make it, I had a sign-in sheet to put in my scrapbook, croissants GALORE, homemade saltsa and DARLING favors (chocolate and yogurt dipped pretzels with gummies made to look like binkies sprinkled with edible swarvski crystals, wrapped in cellofane tied with TONS of different colored ribbon and a shiny raised-print "TAMN's feti's shower 2009, boy-girl combos rock!" piece of cute cardstock memorabelia attached).

THEN we played a fun get-to-know-TAMN game. To late to include Lynzii, but still way fun, with Qs like "What do the doctors tell TAMN to do?" (Gain wait!) "Does TAMNers have stretchy marks?" (H no!) "How darling will her twins be?" (Way) "Can she still wear her pre-preg designer jeans at 31 weeks?" (You bet!) and "What should you bring her for bedrest dinner?" (1/8th of a pork salad). Funnest game ever! The winners got diet dr. peppers (GUILTY PLEASURE SPLURGE!) and 8x10 maternity pics of me, photoshopped so extensively my eyes literally glow in the dark! Then we played that clever candy bar poopy diaper game and my mom had my PB crib set delivered to the party just for fun!! BAAAAAAAAAAA!

Lynzii showed up {UGH...just kidding girl, love you!}. So greatful for this chance to learn patients, so I was way gracious about excluding her from all the games and conversations. I can't be ticked at her selfishness of having babies the same time as me, I just seriously pity her. Ugh! ALL girls, can you imagine?? No one to carry on the last name! No mini-missionary onesies! No daughter-in-laws to judge! No one to protect her when her hubby goes on business trips! No older brother to fend off his sister's bo's! No one to do a whole Eagle project for! SAD.

Sooo, it was WAY FUN and gave everyone in the ward a complex about weather their own parties'll ever measure up, so I consider that a success. NOW I'm seriously looking forward to: my mom's side of the fam, my dad's side of the fam, JJWT's fams, JJWT's friends's wives, my wive's club one, my bunc/ko one, my high school one, my hair school one, my old ward one, and my future ward one. Did I miss anybody?

Updated: OH AND MY E-BFF ONE! Can't wait!!!

"Bo's" just made me snort.

Yeah, that shower was fun. I didn't even notice when you sneered at the burp cloths I got you from Wal-mart and then you snuck them into Lynzii's bag.

Um, what about your e-BFFs shower? It isn't fair that the rest of the world get the chance to dote on you and not me. *Sniffle*

Now I'm hungry for homemade saltsa. Mmmmm.

You're only having that many showers. We had closer to 20. All of which were better than yours!

That was the most Christ like thing to do when you graciously excluded Lynzii from the games and conversations. She must have been overwhelmed with how righteous you are!

What about your shower for all your blog friends????

homemade saltsa is the best!

Saltsa. I can't get over that one!

The candy bar poopy diaper game is the best! If you melt the chocolate bar with almonds and toffee chips, it starts an awesome conversation about what a baby can eat to produce that effect! So helpful in preparing for divine motherhood!

I don't know what I'd do without future daughters-in-law to judge. Seriously.

I cannot wait for the E-BFF one. I just know the invites are going to be even more sparkly and you can bet all the best presents will come from your e-bffs because we are the ones who really know you (I mean, we are reading your diary after all).

Hey, Tamn! Your shower was SO awesome that I can't even imagine what kind you would throw for someone else! My baby is due in July...if you need extra blessing points, think about it!

It would give you an awesome way to shine, and everyone would see how sweet/giving/unselfish you really are!

Seriously the best! I'm so happy for you and all your success and vanity (not that kind)
You deserve it, Tamn for being so righteous and always choosing the right...
Seriously LOVE you...

Did you give Lynzii a gift and if so, what was it?

LOVED the descriptions of your party favors. Seriously, so priceless ! :-) XOXO --D.

"No future daughters-in-law to judge," You deserve to become rich and famous off this. Perfect, dead-on! Flashed me right back to living in Utah. No one could describe it better.

Oh wow, your partay was SO FUN! I can't wait to frame that 8X10 pic of you that I won. Maybe over the fireplace? So cool! I have to ask though, did you see Lynzii's tragically HUGE preggo feet? Ugh, I felt so sad for her, it's a good thing your shower was so fun to make up for it! No wonder she gave you those shoes, she was just trying to find a good home for them =D

You've certainly picked up your perspective about having a boy! I say go you and poor Lynzii for missing out on that with all girls.

Mmmm croissants... I heart you TAMN! Way to be totally awesome and have good food for all the frumpies to binge on- you are sooooooooo smart! So you mentionned your "future ward"??? Um, does this mean your Daddy is upgrading you, JJWT and amazing boy/girl feti to a more celestial abode???

My favorite part of your shower was the maternity pics! I loved how you were covered only in two pieces of stratigecally placed, nearly-sheer fabric. It really showed off your stretch mark-free belly, and the hours and hours you've spent tanning. Kind of like the Pal photos of you in your modest bikini, except even more in line with the plan, since you're just showing off your righteous seed. What an inspiration you are, Tamn!

Oh Tamn! I was having a BAD day and that really just made my day! What a
selfless person you truly are! I hope I can just aspire to half the kind of shower you had!

I lurve that candy bar game!!! I threw a baby shower for a friend once and her mother poked the candy bars with the end of her pencil and said "oh gross" under her breath- BAAA!

Ummm...what about the neighborhood one? :)

so this makes me realize, do we know the number of actual Wedding Showers you had? How 'bout number of wedding receptions? (you know, the showers you have after the ceremony where you dance around in your dress and stand in boring lines to shake hands an stuffs and the old guys come with their wives and eat all yer cake.)

Cheri said...

Your showers are going to all be awesome. This Valentine's day banner is KILLING me!

Lorie said...

What about one on your blog?

Anne said...

Ooooo! Glow in the dark eye picture! I want one!

Lindsay said...

Um...TAMN? I hate to rain on your shower, but...are you sure you are having a girl? I thought the ultrasound tech wasn't sure...

I hope it's a girl. Poor little guy is going to have a serious complex from you always telling him that you wished he was a girl!

Little Lovables said...

Don't forget you will most likely have a "meet the babies" shower too...

Better be careful, you wouldn't want to be released from Young Women's to be called as the ward event and party planning commitee person!

Amalie said...

i LOVE that you get chances to learn patients. ha!

Good thing JJWT's bro married Ruth, so your MIL finally has a daughter-in-law she would WANT to judge.

Yes I know this is all a big sarcastic joke blog...but what a waste of space!

Melissa said...

Oh, can we have an e-shower for you? You can register somewhere and link it too your blog!!!

i didn't know "swarvski" made edible crystals.

Shannon said...

ha ha ha. "Saltsa". I'm still laughing about that. One of my relatives - who really reminds me so much of you - says that. All the time. It drives me crazy. In such a darling way.

Rachel said...

No Eagle Scout projects, and no protection? How will she ever live?!? Are you considering names for your cute baby fetuses?

Rich & Lisa Mack said...

I'm having my baby shower tomorrow, and though my fertile womb is only producing one baby this go-round, I'm seriously CRACKING UP at this post. I've gotta say, I laughed more at this post than I even did at some of your previous posts. That's gotta be a record!

aquabatgirl said...

you know i was just thinking that whereas your righteous seed was conceived naturally (aka: no fertility drugs, in vitro, etc.) lynzii most definitely used drugs just showing how much more fertile and righteous you must be than her that you didn't need drugs to become preggo (you sure must be living life better than she)
