burried in green!

((yes you can still enter the march {gIvEaWaY} madness til Thursday so hurry up))

So, usually I make JJWT a seriously awesome lunch {cut his sandwich diagonal aka the love cut, remember? When Angelbabe sees it he knows I love him more than any of his classmates wives love them} but today I went ALL OUT. It was hard bc I am way busy sitting around, BUT I cared enough the time and made green bread and green meat and green veggies and green mustard and green cheese and a whole green sandwich in a green sandwich bag and saved some old carrots so they'd turn green and even put green love notes all over the escalade. How else would he know I lurve him!?

No offense but if you don't go all out for every holiday it's like wearing some ugly sign on your selfish back that says your a bummer of a wife, mother, daughter, friend and person. Not to judge you or anything, just saying.

Anyways, this morning I took a
ton of rilly funky arty pics of me posing by the green lunch with my new and way expensive camera. It took FOREVER to gather all the darling stuff in my house to just be casually awesome in the background so that you guys would see how vintage and adorable everything I do is, but it won't let me upload it, ugh!

Trust me, it was adorable.

So way glad you made your font green. I wouldn't want to hafta pinch your blog.

Good idea with the carrots. They'll be sure to turn his face green, and then he'll be super festive!

My hubs is color blind and can't see green. He thinks its brown. Yucky right? I have to frownsmile everytime he asks me what color something is. If he can't even see how well I color coordinate, how can he know how awesome I am?

How cool am I to have a GREEN SALE in my etsy shop today? I bet you don't have an etsy shop to have a green sale it!

My comment has to be approved... maybe I wasn't comment #2 after all. Boo.

I hate it when the lame-o computer won't let you upload stuff! Man, I wish I could see how festive you made his lunch and decorated your house.

I totally believe it TAMN. Are you gathering sample shots for when you start your own online photography business in which you don't really take that good of pics, but your expensive camera makes up for your lack of talent????? Can't WAIT!! You better reserve your domain now, or some biznatch might take it! I mean, you'll need something to enhance your feelings of amazing self worth other than the eternal blessing of being a full time mommy, right? And joining stamp it up! Scentsy or Usborne is soooo unoriginal these days. Not even vintage and adorable at all.

You are so ahead of the game! Totally ready for kids. (Whereas I'm a little burned out, last night threatened that the leprechaun wouldn't come, and my poor 6 yr old wailed, "Mom's not festive anymore!"--I repented and dyed the milk green at breakfast...)

this is really good practice for when you become a mom and hallmark tries to make you feel bad and convince you that your homemade efforts at celebration are cheesy and dumb...you'll be able to conquer their negativity, I'm sure of it.

I'm so bummed out we don't get to see you and your awesome house in the picture! I'll just have to imagine...

What? No brownies that make him, um, (p) green? TAMN, TAMN! Did high school and girls camp teach you nothing?

happy st paddys day!!!! did you get your window decals of the feti for the back window of your escalade yet?

What about breakfast? Did you make green eggs and ham? Or atleast green pancakes in the shape of clovers (four leaf, of course!)? I'll be so disappointed (along with JJWT) if you didn't greenify the most important meal of the day...

Yes, you are so busy sitting around! LOL -- loved that comment. You are the best at holidays -- you out-do all the other wives. Love you, from D.

Ummm u have a little dilem TAMN. Your super creepy floating feti isn't a feti - it's just an upside down fetus. Where's ur little boy??? Cuz u know ur darling princess wouldn't abandon the womb.

The first widget is okay tho - both feti accounted for!

I think you forgot something....
like some chocolate golden coins in a pot next to his breakfast plate full of green pancakes.

Because there's ALWAYS a pot of goodies at the end of every rainbow!

Rebecca Blevins said...

I hope you have some sparkly green towels for after JJWT eats his green carrots and pukes lovely green barf all over!

Cute ideas, though. Just not the carrots. Eew.

Are you planning a spectacular green dinner for him too?

I've been reading this blog for a long time and still don't understand what a frownsmile is. Can you post an example?

Holy Crap I'm 2nd???? Sorry about all the potty words! I'm so sure your angelbabe totally lurves your "special" meals. BTW you might want to check your bank acount online to see if he ditched your lunch and went out to eat instead. Just sayin....

I forget today was St Patty's Day. Oopsie! I guess I don't love my family like you do. I noticed you are 36 weeks and in twins-relms your due. If you don't have them soon how will you have an inspirational NICU story?

Jeannie said...

You DID make green applesauce and eat it like you were feeding your feti baby food right?

Right?

Becca said...

puuuulleeeeeeezze me!

merrilykaroly said...

I am always waiting to see pictures. All my other mommyblog friends put so many pictures up. Where are yours???? Prego pics before it's too late and the babies come?!

H.K. said...

Wow! Now, I wish I did something more creative with my dinner than just baked chicken. Hmmm...I wonder if I should put a few drops of green food coloring into it?

Heart Mommy said...

It is so important that you are investing all this energy into making each holiday festive. Especially since St. Patty's is so underappreciated. We have so much in common. I am so into self taught photog and holidaze!!!!
I can't wait for your little princess to get here so you can borrow my tutorial on making hue-mon-gus bows for each holiday and taking darling pix of all.... So since we should seek after all that is prays worthy or of good report are doing Lent? Giving up Diet Coke-a would be such a good thing.. besides it was only for fourty days, RIGHT?

Danielle said...

I am getting ready to have a baby a few days after you and am totally nesting. What projects are you doing to keep yourself busy? Where are the cute pics of your awesome nurseries and all the clothes and bows you have made your little girl?

Scott and Jillian said...

I completely forgot it was St. Paddy's today until I saw your blog!! I must be the worst mom ever!!

And I agree with brossettelewis- for having twins you are way overdue. I had my trips at 33 1/2 weeks.

Dawn Parsons Smith said...

You are one creative gal! You are gonna need to stock up on the green stuff with twins coming! That's a lot of green!!!!

Dawn Parsons Smith said...

Oh hecky darn! I forgot to say Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Anonymous said...

That's a good start for celebrating St. Patrick's Day, but once the babies can walk and talk you'll have to up your game: set leprechaun traps, create treasure hunts, etc.

(And remember the old song: it's not the St. Patrick's Day things you do on St. Patrick's Day, but the St. Patrick's Day things you do all year through.)

the ginabean said...

showing your love through old green carrots on st. patrick's day is probably the best way to prove your adoration to angelbabe. you thought of everything...

k- said...

um...not to judge, but...you didn't find a shamrock shaped cookie cutter to cut out his sandwhich{martha stewart style}? maybe your ALL OUT is different than my ALL OUT

debbie said...

Thanks for the "laugh out loud really hard" today!

Kayleigh said...

Wow. Your prolly the best wife EVER. I hope that when I snag my own JJWT (but a slitely less cute version, cuz I'm pretty sure that yours is the best...he lurves you so much!) I can be like you.

Heidi said...

I hate it when I can't get my pics unloaded! Ugh! BTW, your feti widget reminds me of early pics of myself and my twin sister--only we are both girls.
