{click here for the giveaway below}

soooo tired.

last night was my first night w/o queenie & glamma.

holy crap.

they took turns screaming all night. honestly. i can't even see right now.

diapers everywhere. no miamaid answered my emergency midnite texts.

zero sleep. ginorm bags under cute eyes.

jjwt had a final this morning so i had to pull an emma and do it alone.

my head is seriously pounding.

ugh.

i don't even have the energy for random capitalization or periodically increasing the font size!

can't blog today.

Way to be brave like Emma.

Hang in there TAMNmy...maybe it's time to crack open that Babywise book (again).

Amanda K said...

How can they do this to you?

Aundrea said...

I can't believe Queenie and Glamma left you to walk through the valley alone. Way to pull an Emma. Maybe you can put a major guilt trip on JJWT and he'll take a turn tonight.

I'm sure its nothing some sleeping pills can't fix right up for you. Remember, prescription meds are for the healing of human ailments, like raising twins! Talk to your doctor about how well they will help you sleep through your babies crying.

jes said...

Poor TAMNers! Lazy good for nothing mia maids! You shouldn't even magnify your calling by paying them the time of day, they're not worth it.

katie said...

you truly are an elect lady.

strongmom said...

its a good thing you blog your feelings now, because you can help future generations and hopefully some Miamaids will get a clue.

X said...

You poor thing! I don't know what thats like, all of my babies were sleeping through the night at 2 weeks. Maybe you're just not as righteous as I am. Just kidding TAMN, we all know that this is just a trial so you can show everyone how awesome you are at perservering and you'll have a story to tell about your trials at the next Fast Sunday.

The Crash Test Dummy said...

Pooooor thang. I can't believe your miamaids didn't answer your midnight texts. After all you've done for THEM!

Abby said...

Wait, how is this possible? I thought you just said that you totally get parenting now? I've been taking all my mothering cues from you; now what am I supposed to do?? I DON'T WANT TO END UP LIKE THAT!

mindy said...

i'm not sure i'd classify the worst night in human history under the label of 'my way fun life'.

but then again, you are way better than me.

Unknown said...

You. poor. thing. Where are your blessings? Shouldn't the windows of heaven be opened and pouring out zzzz's on your babies so motherhood is all grins and giggles? Are you sure you've CTRing lately? Just asking....

Ellie said...

Srrrsly TAMN! Just drink DC, energy drinks, and decaffeinated coffee all day! The Word of Wisdom doesn't say anything about decaf, does it?

JJWT owes you BIG TIME. Doesn't he realize that it's Mother's Day Month?!! He can be so selfish sometimes. And forget the Miamaids, they are obviously selfish good-for-nothings. You need to start surrounding yourself with more Celestial friends.

You don't even have the energy for random capitalization or periodic increasing of font size? Wow, you MUST be tired!

pOrR tAmN, tHiS Is SeRiOuS.

{Are} you still able to muster {up} the strength to put random words in unnecessary brackets in an {effort} to make boring old type look cuter{?}

Diet Dew and Xanax . {hugs... don't forget to purge before the xanax} It'll get better.

Oh I am so so so sorry! I remember the times. I can't imagine doing it alone with two babies though. Seriously take a nap when they do, it'll help!

Christin said...

WELCOME TO MY WORLD SWEETHEART. I HAD TWO, COUNT THEM TWO SETS OF TWINS. DON'T PLAN ON GETTING ANY SLEEP FOR AT LEAST A YEAR. AND I'M NOT KIDDING. HAPPY DAY.

I'm with above..you need a label for trills so we can all search for your hard times and know how you came through them. If you can scrape up the energy it would be such a service.

After last nite you defiantly need some me time. Let studofvirility keep the stinkerbuttons wile you go out for a mani/pedi.

Kristen said...

JJWT SO owes you for abandoning you! If he doesn't come home tonight with GC for mani/pedis/massage and takes you to Cheesecake for all your sufferings, I say hold back on the...*whisper*...return to nuzzling!

Unknown said...

remember sweetie, this too shall pass...

....in the meantime a few drops of Nyquil in a bottle is totally acceptable. A mom has got to take care of herself!

Allison said...

Welcome to real life TAMN. This is just a taste of what it's going to be like when you and JJWT take the twinners to Washington- maybe Brock can hook you up with a nanny? Oh wait, his MIL lives with them...hmmm... great idea!

The Mia Maids didn't answer your texts? You better tell the Bishop.

You TAMN are an example for all of us, just like Emma. Real life should never happen to anyone as beautiful as you!

Blue said...

so you fer SURE need to think about this first, cuz a bumload of parents don't and hold the lettuce do they regret it. anyway, with that disclammer i just wanna let you know that in my vast experence as a FLIGHT ATTENDANT {sighs of envy}, lots of parents give their angelbabes a dose of benedryl b4 they bring their precious cargo onto the flight.

sometimes this is a blessing from heaven. like even MORE litrallly cuz we're SO MUCH CLOSER to heaven when we are flying. but sometimes these poor parents (who weren't as in tUne with the holy ghost prolly) don't try this out at home first, and their babes just totally ping off the airplane walls like jumping beans in a metal can. it's totally inSaNe! so you never do know how your baby might respond to such measures.

my advise to you is that next time you're rejuv'd, like after a good reTail TheRapY session, try it out on the wonderloves. see how they respond. wurst case is you have to endure some freakout time together (just remember my motto: Chocolate~It's not just for breakfast anymore). and DO have some movies on hand that you've totally memorized but can watch over and over (I recommend the totally righteous, except for that **blush** comment near the end about the perfect B*****, PRincess Bride, and speshally the 6 hour A&E Pride and Prejudice cause {swoon} Collin Firth! i mean, they could almost substitute that movie for the temple movie it's so rightus, no?!) so that you can still enjoy yourself over the racket.

and then, if it DUZ work, you'll be seriously so blessed with bonus nuzzletime with that SexyHubbyOyours. and there's nothing wrong with putting your marriage first. after all, angelbabeletts will grow up and before you know it you'll be wondering where the three white dresses went and how it could all have passed so quickly. and while ur anuzzlin', the babes will be blissfully growing in their sleep. cause that's when most of our growth takes place anyway. and all that mental development that happens while we sleep...just put in the baby einstein dvd while they enjoy their bdryl sleep, and between that and all the Natural Wood Toys and other wholesome things in their environment, these two wondurluvs will change the whoLe wuRLd before they even reach high skool! ♥ and hugs to you grrrlfrnd!

OOOHHHH, You poor poor thing. I bet you are still as cute as can be. I bet the babies are breaking their first pearly whites through. Other wise I know they would be perfect angels for you. They are both so advanced that it has to be teeth. You take it easy today -K- They never said it would be easy, they only said it would be worth it.

I seriously want to know you!

Love the "pull an Emma" - LOL!

Laurie S said...

Tamn, I'm seriously so confused! Is this really your blog? All this non-darling stuff is making me so frowny!
If this IS you, Tamn, you'd better get back to normal - aka righteous - real quick. I don't think I can handle any more sad 'emma' stories.

Blue said...

Maybe you're struggling with PPD. All the most righteous and famous new mommies do it. Marie Osmond. Brooke Shields. So many.

Don't listen to people like that cultish Tom Cruise. PPD is real and even the most perfect of new mothers can struggle with it. No one would ever say "It's just cancer...get over it". That'd just be crazy talk.

I'm SO SO SO glad you are strong enough to share your pain with us. That is a healthy response to the situation. After all, He never said it would be easy, He only said it would be worth it. And if you took your babies for a walk at the beach, when you look back, there would prolly only be one set of footprints in the sand. And they'd be a size 13 men's.

You can do hard things TAMN! And we're all so grateful for your example of long-suffering with grace and humility. ♥

What's wrong with your babies? Keeping you up at night?! Maybe you should send them back. They probably got mixed up with someone else's babies at the hospital.

Abs and Me said...

Wow, and I thought being a single mom and working full time was tough. I don't know how you do it with everything in your life. You must be the most blessed person I have ever met online! and to think that you made it through the Lord's test that night! It will be much better now. Think of all those serious blessings you just earned from this experience! Lucky!

Yur the best mom ever, afterall.

Don't you think the best way to fight your fatigue would be to put the little angles in your $500 double jogger and go running in your immodest workout clothes that you'll then wear all day long?! I'm sure you're training for a marathon, right?
