best part of the year

THIS WEEKEND IS THE BIG WEEKEND!!!

The best part of confrince {unless your one of those yawnies who pays to much attention, remember notebooks are for decorating and carrying but beyond that-- puke!} is the part where I don't get board, which is actually two parts:

{a} looking most skinny and stylish of all the wive's at our mission reunion tonite, 'our's' bc JJWT's mission was just as much mine with all the sacrificing I did and

{2} the Saturday night GNO. Fun! Yay! Yum!

I'm not on this year's GNO-planning committee bc we take turns but my pridiction is two words: Anthro & Olivegarden.

What're YOU doing??

We were supposed to drive down to St. George to see Aida at the Tuacahn, but SADNESS! The kiddies are sick and so am I so we have to stay here and watch conference with no promise of any fun while the men are at their meeting. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to reap blessings and uplifting messages right here with KSL 5.

Hey, "our" mission reunion is tonight too! What are the odds! You are so lucky to have such trendy things to do this weekend. I have to work (frown). Have extra fun for me!

I'm going to sit through all four sessions worrying about the other things on my to do list and not getting as much out of it as I should, and then I'll frantically try to clean my house and get my school work done while the menfolk go to priesthood then watch the TiVoed football game. BAAAAAAH!!! Don't you LuRvE being a GiRL?!

I'll probably ponder.

Umm no GNO for me because I'm the best wifey who will be slaving away in the kitchen while he's gone.

Though the macro-level genius of this blog is impressive, I will endlessly applaud you for your micro-level genius. In other words, thanks for making "what're" a contraction.

I'm re-decorating our RS binders. Seriously. I can't believe I'm admitting that. But they're so tacky on the outside and poorly designed on the inside (the pamphlets are always falling out) that I can't take it anymore.

Anyone who knows me will laugh hysterically about this.

I was totally hoping for a post like this! Way to read my mind!

I'm trying not to dread that I'm going to be the *least* skinny and stylish of the women at *my* mission reunion tonight (of my actual mission) thus proving that the frumpifying effects of mission service are long-term. At least I'll be bringing along the cutest baby.

Tonight, we're going to the mish reunion -- what? Just because my husband RWH'd in '96, we still go EVERY YEAR because it was SUCH a memorable time in his life, and he'll NEVER STOP being a missionary.

Tomorrow night, going to the DB to win all the Willow Trees and Vinyl Words I can (entering all my kids' names too, you can never have too many PRIZES), and get some mormon-singers autographs.

Sunday we'll have a SUPERBIGBREAKFAST (but I won't eat any of it) so that we can fersher stay WIIIIDE awake during confrince. I'm SO GLAD we only have to watch the sunday morning session (don't they re-run it later on Sunday? And also the day before?)

Too bad for all the sinners running the St. George Marathon, they miss out on all the blessings.

Hey, TAMN, what do you think the boys will get yelled at about on Saturday night?

What is GNO?

I mean it's not like I don't know what GNO is, but like...other ppls mite not.

So I'm having a hard time with the GNO. It always looks like "gyno" to me and I KNOW that's not what you want plastered all over your blog!

Dido on the Olivegarden, but we'll be hiting TP (Tai Pan, in case your wundring).

You mean you don't go to Temple Square with your scriptures and sit by fountains looking pensive in the hopes that an Ensign photographer will capture your spirituality??? I'm a little shocked.

Eating endless amounts of pancakes (all while maintaining my super skinny self), browsing blogs online while 'listening' to conference, taking a super power nap, playing with my baby girl, and going shopping at San Tan mall during the boys show. FUN FUN FUN! Am I too old to play Conference bingo? No? Perfect!

taking pictures of the conference cupcakes that I made and posting them on my blog.

Seriously...the best thing I have ever seen. Seriously.

OK...I'll admit it. I'm apparently a horrible Mormon. I have no idea what GNO is. Someone clue me in please?

Rob said...

Oh wait. I googled it (Yay google!)
For Motion (and anyone else who is confused and lame like me) it means Girls Night Out.

I always thought confrence weekend meant the football game, but it's a non-confrence team this time, so that doesn't make cense... what've i missed? And honestly, we did spank those aggie people, so it was a good confrence weekend.

Be one of the 1st 100 peps at Deseret Book (6pm-8pm) and receive a FREE gift. Plus if you go to one that has a Lion House Pantry...YUMMY rolls!

No joke, we (as in my SIL's and me) will be making uber-cute invitations (with all my stampin-up stuff, of course) for our annual halloween party that keeps getting bigger and bigger each year. We're also going to be making our own Cafe Rio sweet pork salads for when the guys get back from priesthood. Sometimes I'm amazed how TAMN-like we can be!

MamaBear said...

i'm a no-mo-mo so i'm working all weekend and SHOPPING ON SUNDAY! bwa-hahahahaha!

Stephanie said...

Um, watching conference and taking detailed notes.

Making homemade donuts during Priesthood with my mom, sisters, and aunt. :) Yeah...we're Mormon, apparently.

Omigosh,

Anthro and Olive Garden is totally what I did!

Okay, that's not EXACTLY true. I'm just trying to fit in...it was really Cafe Rio and Tai Pan...I guess I'm sorta the WT BFF that you don't want your Anthro pals to know about.

But there it is.

Steph said...

Ugh, I totally went to Olive garden. I'm so typical...

I didn't know you had to have a GNO during priesthood session. I'm out of the loop! Growing up the boys always went to Wendy's after the PH session, but we never did anything on GC weekends--my dad used to make us sit sit sit sit (in front of the TV) and we did not like it, not one little bit. (I was livid the year my birthday landed on a GC day-sit sit sit sit?!? On my birthday?!?)

It's taken YEARS for me to really appreciate GC and get over those childhood years. I guess GNO would further enhance my GC weekend experience, huh?

Well, I do completely enjoy not getting us all done-up for church. It's so lovely!
