Sorry I haven't blogged in five days, who DOES that??? Swear its a record! Things have been honestly officially CRAZY, trying to plan our ward prom bc it's Lynzii's and me's first big thing and so all last week instead of sleeping I've been brianstorming how to really make it sPaRkLe! Combinning that with nuturing Alivyiah and Tridger and then me and JJWT have finals coming up, plus I have to train for my marathon AND facebook said training, AND whine about the weather = soooooo busy!! Honestly though, love it, wouldn't trade it for the whirl!
Just to be real so you guy's can all relate to me instead of being all intimated, listen to how behind I am:
- Ugh, only went to the gym four times last week.
- Haven't deep~cleaned my townhome/McMansion in seriously a week!!
- Even though I made dinner every nite each din only had two sides of veggies even tho our family goal is three each meal :(
- Last Thursday I seriously didn't even curl OR flatironed my hair.

Ward Prom? love it! I'll bet you'll be the queen, I hope you got up to bare your testimony so they would know who was the most richus prom queen contestant.
You? Finals? What?! Or is it you being a supportive wife and becoming a finals-widow while JJWT takes his?
And I hope you rake your carpets when you deep clean. The lines make it look all clean after you vacuum, as opposed to when *I* do it and the vacuum lines are all over the place in all sorts of directions!!!
Wow, I hope you didn't run into Lynzii on Thursday!
I am confused. Is me's the correct one or is it I's? You said "me's first big thing", but "I's pedi's". I learn so much from you, I just want to do it write.
So TAMN I noticed you are still lactating... seriously? Isn't that unhealthy for your kiddos at this point and don't they bite?!? YIKES!
YAY, I'm first!!!!
I lub that you live in a McMansion. I can help you clean it if you want.
Then we can do lunch at Cafe Rio.
Cuall me, we'll tualk.
And obviously you haven't been using your planner or you'd get that all in.
Not to judge or anything, but if you are going to stay at home it's up to you to produce lots of visible, bragging proof to the rest of the world (or at least your ward) that you aren't slacking off.
So PRIORITIZE. Nurturing - blah. Who's going to see it? The other sad frumps in the ward won't know when they sign, "We're lacking developmental stimulation." But don't let the hair go! Once you start letting yourself go, everyone will know the worst about the vegetables and deep-cleaning.
Wait. Wait. You didn't curl OR flatiron your hair??? I seriously hope you didn't leave the house like that!!!!!!!!
TAMN, you had me at "Ward Prom."
I opened this up to read it at the same time I was listening to an NPR News Podcast (email me if you need me to tell you what that is). The guy was reporting from Poland about death and mourning all the while--Miley Cyrus' Party in the USA was playing. I thought, "How super inappropriate is that?"
It took me a minute to figure out...it was your sidebar playlist.
DERRRRRRRR!!
O M G and you went into PUBLIC like that?!
While you brianstorm we'll all be on edge wondering what you're going to wear to your WARD PROM!!! & speaking of training, is it just me or does everyone suddenly fancy him/herself a runner? Is it trendy to be a runner?
Ummm...did you just admit that you clean your own house? Way to be a pioneer! Also, I would love to know exactly how you nurture your kids. I'm pretty sure I'm doing it wrong. I mean, we stay at home and play outside and read books and play games. Shouldn't I have them in classes/activities/multiple playgroups or something? Plz help!
Wow, seriously you are so busy I'm amazed you can blog at all. I'm surprised you don't hire a maid like the rest of us and delegate more of the prom stuff to a committee. That way you can get all the credit while the other people do all the work ;)
Ward prom? I must know if this is a real thing. And if so what it involves.
WHEW! I know EXACTLY how you feel (minus all the specifics).
sometimes i seriously wonder if this is real. and then i think of how crazy my wife and I are just getting by...
Only two sides of veggies?! What kind of mother are you?
Don't worry. Def not intimated. LOL. Just when I think it's getting too shallow, you are once again brilliant. In a shallow way. :)
p.s.-I love the word McMansion. One of my new life goals is to never live in one.
TAMN I know when you are done planning ward prom, your cultural hall will look exactly like the capitol's rotunduh. Don't get down on your self. We all have a day or two each year we don't have time to flatiron. LUV YA!
Is it seriously modest prom time already! Yikes! Good luck with your marathon training. You better step it up if you only went to the gym 4 times last week. Hopefully that is just cause it was nice out and you got some workouts in outside!
I have to know, are you planning on wearing a modest prom dress to the ward prom? I know you got away with a super hot-but-not-in-the-plan-one back when we were in high school, but this IS church. Either way, find out what Lynzii is wearing and show her up!
And please make sure you do your hair. I'm kind of embarrassed for you. It sounds like maybe your (ah-hem) visiting teacher is neglecting you!
EW!! Who doesn't flat-iron their hair EVERYDAY??!!
Oh wait! That'd be me!
Love your acrylic nells pole. Seriously, when you can't grow your own to be clawlike and handicappingly long, do you think people won't notice if you fake it?
alls I know, is that you and lynzii better go dress shopping together to ensure yalls dont show up in the same thing!!!
On days where I don't do my hair, I just wear a huge knit headband with a giant flower on it. Don't worry though, I save the ENORMOUSLY HUGE flower head bands for my tiny, bald baby.....
I am sort of new to this, but I love your blog!!!
Whomever you are, I wish you were my sister or brother, or some relation. I seriously love you.
Mormon prom?
Genius.
Complaining about the weather?
Brilliant.
It's so close to some people I know, it's too painful for me to come here and read sometimes.
But other times?
I cannot resist.
"wouldn't trade it for the whirl!"
LMAO.
Please tell us that you only use non-toxic-earth-friendly-bio-degradable-soy-based-pthalate-free-imported cleaning products from Whole Foods that cost twice as much as anything I use! I'd be so disappointed if you used a regular swiffer, or (gag) dusted with JJWT's old socks.
And no pictures of the semi-Ah-MAZing stuff you made for dinner? How do I really know if it was super-awesome? How do I know if you really had a homemade center piece? Step it up. After all, you are on activities. Next time, Puh-leez.
PS--I'm sure you found a fab designer gown at DI that you can totally bedazzle with your sewing skills and super expensive fabric. Remember that you must alwayz push the mod limit with the dress; after all, it is prom!
xx's CAT
Fer rillz, they have Mormon Prom here. Three stakes go in on it.
My kids refused to go.
TAMN,
You are so lucky you live in Zion where you can get away with out curling or flat ironing your hair.
In Dallas you're pretty much considered poor if your hair isn't done.
Lucky you get to go scruffy.
Oh dear one, where do I begin? When I was your age we totally had ward prom. Back then it was called Gold and Green Ball although virtually everyone attended, not just the youth.(Even the preggos and blue haired walkers came.) It always brought our ward so close -the spirit is so strong when you can do the bunny hop together with the Bishop, his darling wife and their 13 children. It was the highlight of the year! Don't stress by losing sleep, just hang a SPARKLING disco ball from the ceiling and some crepe paper streamers across the hall (for the dropped ceiling effect) and be sure to have a DJ spin some vyn-al for sure. Chic Retro! Try not to stress about your nonflatironed hair either~just do like we used to and lay your face on the ironing board when you are pressing your pillowcases and dishtowels and have JJWT iron your hair. Saves so much time!
P.S. I am new here and I have been praying to find some answers and I have finally found the source to which I can turn so that I will be able to ACWMBD (ACCURATELY COMMUNICATE WITH MY BLOGGING DAUGHTERS)- your blog! Thank you! I sure do love ya already sweetie....
