things I LOVE: four fer fall

  1. that my photog biz is BOOMING!!!!!!! JJWT is soooo supportive and even babysits for me when I have a shoot! Thanks babe! Could I have married a better guy? No way! But seriously, I had no idea you can make a whole business just by getting an expensive camera. Training, schmaining...honestly I am thinking about buying a super nice scalpel and doing heart surgeries in the garage! LOL!
  2. Garner Village!!! Soooo adorable and way fun! Needed a darling autumn experience and photo sesh and it was just so nice to be around other like-minded girls for once and really be among MY PEOPLE, you know? We were all just gorg in our ginorm flowers in our hair and super cute fall boots and skintight jeans and ruffly duffly scarfs. Almost went w/o a trendy headband and am SO GLAD i decided not to slack! lol!
  3. my darling halloween decor. This is such a fun time of year bc all the wreath changes are just the funnest. Honestly, decor is my fave.
  4. FALL CRAFTS!!! 'NUFF SAID!
And speaking of fall, :(, I kind of sometimes want to start a non-profit to help mom's who go all of fall w/o blogging pics of they're kids in pumpkin patches bc it seriously brakes my heart.

OMG, my FAV blog ever! Can you please define 'poligafrump' for me??

Four for fall for YOU!

1. It is so {aWeSoMe} that you have a built in babysitter! Who wooda guessed that a dad could take care of his kids???

2. Heart surgery is BOARING! I'm not in Zion (sigh...) but I heard that plastic surgery is {HuGe} out they're - you should toadally do that instead.

3. Um, I had to look up Garner Village but yes - so nice to be around like=minded ppl ALL the TIME. You woodn't want to go apostate, right?

4. Can I sign up for your non-prophet? Get this: I don't even TAKE my kids to pumpkin patches. FRUMP ALERT!!!

Your non-profit will prolly need to help me. I have no pics of my kids in a punkin patch to scrapbook...maybe because I have failed to take them to a punkin patch. And, AND, I don't even own a trendy headband. I'm such a looser.

Dying over the photog business comments! Training Schmaining hahaha Seriously how many housewife photo business are out there these days hahaha. Love it.

Not to judge but in my ward there are two ladies with nice cameras and their own photography businesses and they are TERRIBLE photographers from what I've seen. I'm a horrible person for saying so, but less horrible for doing it seriously so anonymously.

WHAT? Expensive equipment = talent... right?

OMHeck I can barely wait to see your photo website! You'll probably have a logo with Zapfino font, like the other 80% of housewife photogs in the Utah, and you'll have ridiculously amateurish yet totally overprocessed photos that all of your groupies rave about!

I bet you are so good TAMN! Let's hope the people are pretty enough so you don't have to change the lighting or edit them out of your SUPER CUTE photos!!

TTYL LYLAS!

If my cousin's blog weren't private, I would swear that you were copying her.

I just finished making tons of ginormously cute fabric flowers for my little girls. All the young, cute mothers in the ward asked why I wasn't going to wear them myself. Am I going poligiafrump because it didn't occur to me? It's like I'm pretending that Junior High was ten years ago or something.

And training = The arm of flesh. If you have enough faith, the pics will totally turn out.

Whoa total BuMmEr that you didn't get to do any BaCk to ScHoOl stuff. No offense, but I feel like Mothers Who Know still make they're kids giant cones of toys and presents in the Fall so they're kids will be prepared for when the school bus finally comes. In our family we stencil leaves and apples and pencils onto all the cheqcs we pay on our loans! LOL! Lurve the righteous kind of debt!

I hope your charity involves constructing a more ustheticly pleasing pumpkin page than the real kind -- with cute bugs with googly eyes instead of the real kind. And it should be indoors in case of rain.

Oh my gosh. Your blog sums up about 75 percent of the moms in Zion! Can't believe how accurate you are sometimes!

Sense your such a great photographer, will you pleeeze post pictures of the amazing food you cook. I especialy enjoy the ones of hamburgers that look like some one threw up on them. We all know your an amazing cook so we all want to see step by step pictures so we can be as talented as you are. I exspecially like the stuff you make that has ingredients that are way super expensive and you can't find in the regular grocery store. That way we know your a way more super good cook than the other non hot riotous moms in your ward. Plus it is doctorine that a way to a man's heart is threw his stomach so your doing service for all the poor spinsty's out there in cyperspace.

Okay, it's obvious to me that I need to fly all my kids back home to get their pictures taken in a pumpkin patch. Is 40 too old of a kid for this activity, or can I make him be in the picture too? I can threaten to withhold his house payment and he'll do whatever I axe.

Yeah photographers like you put real photographers like me out of business. Can't compete with free...

Um. You're making me self conscious. I do take my kids to pumpkin patches every year. I have/wear cutesy headbands. And three of my friends asked me to take the "fall" pictures since I bought my nice, big camera. But I don't live in Utah. Does that amount for anything?!?!

I wish the comments section was like Facebook and I could like some of these. Between TAMN's blog post and all the comments, I've definitely filled my laugh quota for today!

Ummm TAMNerZ Know your way cute and busi, but don't you think its kinda maybee a teensy tiny bit offensive that JB (LoVE him!!) Sings a song on your adorable blog with a...wrapper? I mean, don't git me wrong i LUV me sum Justin, but the wrapper part is kinda offinsyve. Just that fack that he'z IN that song maykes me fear for my kidz - you're's will be too richus, duh.

Do you think you culd take it off? I don't WANT my ears to get all squished from me holdin thems shut and screeeeming to my OWN JJWT to ""tirn it off!""

mai-bee we shud send Justin a BOM (with ur kidz pics in the pumkin patch & they're testimoni's inside - BAAAA!!!), in case he goes down the wrong path b4 itz two late?!

Thank you for saying what all us REAL photogs with training and talent want to say, "just because you have a nice camera and photoshop does NOT make you a photographer!!!"

So glad I read this. Was thinking of going to Garner Village and NEEDED the fashion hints. Coulda been SO embarasing.

You nailed it TAMN with the photo comment. Brilliant and hilarious, like usual.

Brooke said...

What?!? No, no no -- everyone knows that at this time of year the REAL mothers of Zion post pictures of thier children staring at aspen leaves on the Alpine Loop!!

Like wearing white after Labor Day, pictures of kiddos in punkin patches aren't appropriate until at LEAST after Columbus Day. That means that Fall is over and the Holidays are here!

Brooke said...

Yes. Yes you COULD have married a better guy.

Uh-oh, TAMN! I'm starting to worry that you're a liberal, and that means you're not CTR-ing. Seriously, starting non-profits is for liberals. Let JJWT talk to you more about "the economies" and biz/law and listen to him really hard and you'll start holding on to the iron rod a little tighter! Love ya!

Saw on facebook this week 2 people just "found you" Where have they been...srsly?!

Hi there!
New follower..
Hope you stop by too.. ;)

That is awesome. Totally awesome. I totally think you should set up shop in your garage for heart surgery.

I hope since you are my facebook friend you were able to see the pumpkins I just finished bedazzling. 1100 rhinestones...I am sure yours probably have at least 2000, or you just bought yours already done from the trendy store instead of spending 2 days and 5 trips to Joanns/Michaels/Hobby Lobby stores making them.

Hilarious post, and it's true, anyone with a $1000 camera can start a photog business, especially this time of year with kids in pumpkin patches, kids in pilgrim costumes, kids around the Christmas tree, etc. Also, the idea that JJWT "babysits" his own children is pretty funny -- but commonly stated. I can't tell you how many women/men I have heard making that same remark. XOXO, Love you !
