  2. What's baby sign for "I'm about to eliminate in a Costco shopping cart?"

  3. It's odd when you have a refined friend for years and one day they talk to you about poo. Definintely takes the relationship to an uncomfy level

  4. It's not potty training, it's parent training.

  5. awesome - at least that is what I tell everyone. even though I haven't and wouldn't do it - ever. please. no diapers? gross.

  6. Awesome and gross. But so part of my life, that hey why not?

  7. AWESOME!

No sticky poopy dipes in your trash can.

And you can use one of those cutesy sprayers to just clean off their bottoms!

    win-win, girlfriend!

  8. Um, freakishly awesome. Duh TAMN, anything that gets the beasties out of diapers is awesome.

Although if you cloth diaper, they do make some really adorkable diaper covers...

  9. I don't get it. I'm slightly excited about this fact.

  10. Also, I love the picture of the tights with the shoes in your header.

  11. LOL. Yes it's a real thing and yes I've actually done it with my last kid and it works. Should I be humiliated?

  12. Awesome! I have never known a baby who used this method who wasn't absolutely PERFECT at it.

The turds on the floor got blamed on the sad diapered kids. Because we know that cloth doesn't *really* hold it and disposible are made by cold, unfeeling machines which make mad babies shed their uncomfy wraps of chemicals.

So yeah, it apparently has never failed.

  13. I'm pretty sure it's all part of the Plan. Will there even be diapers in the Millennium? Better get celestial about it now.

  14. Poop is what went through my mind when I heard this awful Miley Cyrus song. I would much rather hear all about the twinsies' #2 stories.

  15. Totally cool if you don' mind poop all over your rug and lap and hands and face! I know they have a lot of accidents but whatever, its worth it! I actually LIKE sitting in the bathroom all day holding my kid over the toilet. She's so good at this diaper-free, toilet going method that she can even make cute little toot songs with her bum.

    toot, ti toot, toot, toot!

  16. I'm kind of proud to say that I didn't know what this was until I read the comments.

    And now...ew.

  17. Sorry girl. . . . I don't get it. Maybe it's b/c I'm a single {biz-woman} chick without a hubby or kids of my own, so I obviously can't understand your mommy lingo.

  18. Okay, I'm almost 100% positive that you're reading my blog now. There are just too many eerie similarities.

  19. So, while you're looking at a really cute sweater, or you're telling your totally spiritual story in RS, and the baby has to go what are you going to do....just leave and take the kid to the bathroom? No way!

  20. Um, Srsly? TOTES sick nast!

  21. What? The twinners aren't potty trained yet? I heard Lynzii's triplits were. So sad for you..... now I'm all frownee.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I say anything's fair game for topics of conversation when you're married. At least it is if you're as close to your hubby as I am to mine. If not, sad for your (frownsmile).

  23. Is this one of your New Year's resos? I can't wait to see the list of the others.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Um, hello, gross. But if the twinsies are potty trained before anyone else in pre-pre-school? Totally worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Ha ha ha ha. You can potty train them when they're newborn and they'll be accident free by the time they're 3...or you can potty train when they're 2 1/2 and they'll be accident free when they're 3...anyone who tells you their 9 month old is potty trained is crazy! Seriously TAMNers, you have way more important spiritual mommy things you can be doing that will affect the twinsies long term development. You don't want to distract them from Baby Mozart do you?!?! I guess you could pull the Beehives from school to have them help you though...

  26. Wow. I just became %100 sure of where you get at least some of your blogging inspiration. By the way, love the picture with the tights.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I had to google it to see what it was. Ew.

  28. I have heard it works. I use cloth diapers, but the whole EC thing just kind of seems a little strange to me. Although I have heard it really gets you in tune with your baby. I guess that's what has been done for thousands of years before diapers. I myself would NEVER attempt it. As for being in RS and your baby needs to go, I know of parents who use EC and use cloth when they are out and about.

  29. come on all you haters....you KNOW when your kid is about to poop their pants......you've never seen the "Poop Face"!???? I say go for it. And then secretly judge all your friends for being so "mainstream" and undedicated parents. That's what I do.

    ReplyDelete
  30. You're only asking because you already finished it w/ the twinzies, right?! Because if your kids aren't potty trained by the time they can crawl to the potty, then ... well ... I need a new idol. *sigh* I need a diet coke just thinking about your potential parental failure.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I guess if you have that much time on your hands... *Frownsmile* So boring and gross.

    ReplyDelete
  32. it really cuts down on the diapers. But srsly--your only starting to think about this now? We started week 1.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I don't think I have what it takes to be a mommy. Actually, I'm sure of it.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think you should buy the twinners some "split pants" like the kids wear here in China. It makes it so much easier for them to just go wherever they need too. After all, you wouldn't want them to be repressed . . . I'm sure nobody would mind, they're so cute . . .

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh, TAMN. (frownsmile). You mean you haven't been doing EC since the day the twinses were born? I thought you were urban and hip....

    ReplyDelete
  36. My kids were all trained by age 2, my son earlier than the girls, so I don't know why people say wait until they are about 3. But my kids are not close in age and didn't like being out done by anyone else. I'm always surprised when they are still in diapers at age 3. And I seriously didn't train them. They did it their selves. I would potty train a child before I would try and get girls to go to Nursery!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. It's so chic! I'm a total frump tho since my 4 year old is only half way potty trained

    ReplyDelete
  38. I've been waiting for this entry...

And I want to cordially invite you to the SLC EC meeting at my house next week! I'm not sure if it will be a bunch of hippies or democrats.

No offense TAMN, but if you let your kids CIO, I can't really see EC being a 'fit' (you actually have to like, pay attention to your kids and stuff).

    Maybe in the next life?

  39. i was thinking this had to do with talking on the phone while on the crapper.. sorry... sometimes you have to multi-task as a mommy!

    ReplyDelete
  40. oh these comments made me all smiley.

    ReplyDelete
  41. So cool. So much easier than lugging around a giant diaper bag filled with Earth-hater diapers wipes. I didn't start in the hospital with my twins so I'm way behind. But I'm sure by 9 months they'll just start going by themselves anyway.

  42. Def makes the funniest, most unique jokes ever! Bah ha ha! And considering my pathetic, grad-student-living-overseas life, hearing about what your babies poop looks like is really important to me! Cuz it makes me feel extra bad for not having babies yet.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Ew. Ew. Ew. http://blog.naturalbirthandbabycare.com/

    ReplyDelete
  44. Awesome, if it works, gross if it doesn't. Guess I'm an ignorant mom--I never got any cues my kids were going until the deed was done. And I did breastfeed!

    ReplyDelete
  45. TAMNers!! I've suggested like TWICE that you investigate going diaperless! I just figured you already knew what it was and passed it over. Seriously, if you're an up-and-coming uber momma, you HAVE to have your children perfectly potty-trained since birth. All the GOOD moms are doing it.
