I LOVE LOVE LOVE MERICA!
Seriously you guys, how awesome is Merica??!? I have cherished every second of every moment because it's just that awesome. Thanx, troops!! I mean, besides all the cool freedoms we have like speech and religion and whatevs, in Merica we are blessed enough to freely participate in activities like shopping and blogging. I heard in China you can’t even blog…SAD!! I love Merica sooooooo much you guys!! I want to start an Etsy shop from which I will sell ADORABLE patriotic burp rags, cloth wallets, onesies, not to mention homemade patriotic jewelry and other various darling PARAFERNALIA!

Did you camp out on for the past week to get the BEST spot ever like me and my honeybuns?!? Ya, he had to skip work the past couple of days to do it, but it was totaly worth it!!! And then my neces and nephews all sang "America the butiful," and I broke down sobbing because it was SO PRECIOUS!!!! God Bless America y'all!!!
Yeah, I hate frumpy. BABIES! I totally want some too!
Love the blog. It really makes me laugh.
Oh my heck, that image you posted is seriously so cute ! It was so precious that I wept! For sure, you should sell those images as car window decals, on t-shirts decorated with rhinestones, potholders, iron-on patches for scripture bags, with matching earrings ! ( Only one per ear, of course). But like, DON'T let it cut into your time needed for laying out, getting pedis, going out for fro-yo and stuff.
And if you get tired of making blessedly adorable crafts, you should think about becoming a writer. Because you are SERIOUSLY SO TALENTED, and literally everyone on teh interwebs is raving about your blog, and I am addicted to it. Love your work, (((hugs)))) you absolutely make my day. X0X0.
I hope that you and your darling "Heaven on Earth" celebrate this glorious day by getting pregnant today! I'm pretty sure that was part of The Plan when God created the 4th of July.
And then you could totally name your babies something cute like "Freeedum" or "Lybertee" or something awesome and cute like that. Now you two get to work so you can make your parents some grandbabies!
I really hope you and JJWT wore your matching patriotic outfits to the parade so that everyone could see what a super cute couple you guys are! Even though that would make them so jealous... I have to admit I hope someday my life will be as blessed as yours. I totally use your life as my new model. Thanx tons - love ya!!
You are so funny I could die laughing!! But that would be WAY inappropriate. So sad that now I have to put away my red, white and blue EVERYTHING cuz the 4th is over till next year. Oh my HECK, that makes me sad. ;-(
The fourth is OK, but OMG, I am just DYING with anticipashun waiting for the twenty-fourth! I bought a totally cute shirt from Old Navy and will be totally sleeping out before the parade. I just hope the homeless people aren't around. They make me sooooo uncomforuble. Downtown is scary.
A-merica
A-nonymous,
No c-rap sh-erlock. You must be an editor for a prominent paper or magazine.
(That picture is patriotic enough to throw a communist into full cardiac arrest at one glance.)
two of my sisters say ung-yun for onion
my mom says frid-ee, sater-dee, sun-dee
Your welcome, Tiffani/Amber/Megan/Nicole.
I will totally buy something from your etsy shop!! I LOVE MERICA TOO!
This blog is hilarious and too true in many cases. But what is even funnier are all the comments!
What I find most interesting is that one person can make an anonymous comment, expressing their opinion that they may not find this blog particularly funny. To that, they are met with dozens of comments saying how uptight and judgemental they are, how they must be scared to show their identity, and that they need to "lighten up." hilarious.
The reason blogs have comment sections is for people to be able to express their opinions, whatever they may be. If the author didn't want people to be able to comment anonymously, she could stop it. It almost makes me feel like it's the other side that needs to lighten up! But hey, they are entitled to their opinion too.
Anyway, keep writing... watching people bicker through their comments is the most entertaining part of this whole blog! HECK, I am just getting excited to check back later and see if anyone has replied to me with a judgemental comment! LOL!!!!
Logan - quit judging me for judging you. Judger.
HAHAHAHA, comment fights. Love em
Isn't the Fourth of July amazing! I mean, there are very few holidays where I can wear my bathing suit all day and a really skimpy outfit in case I go in the pool. Except I won't go in the pool because that would mess up my hair and make-up!
ps...can you make your comments pop-up so I can keep listening to your sweet playlist? Thanks!
Aren't you going to bear your testimony about Edward?
I wish I lived in Merica so I could be free too!
LMAO!
You're going to feel pretty crappy about this when you end up a SAHM (who looks a little frumpy after sacrificing her body to birth three kids) who wants to find others going through the same stuff so you can feel like you aren't completely alone in the insanity that is diapers, bottles, potty training, playdates, etc. Puting decent people into the world is a tough job so you might want to lay off a little.
Dear Anon, I am a frumpy SAHM and this blog is a crack up. Blogging provides a great outlet for all kinds of people, including a way to LAUGH AT OURSELVES THROUGH SATIRE. If there is any justice in this world, T/A/M/N might end up the frumpiest of us all.
Cant WAIT for your 1 year anniversary post! Its gonna be seriously so awes! I hope we get to hear about how AMAZING being married is.
I'm glad I'm not the only frumpy mom that is a little offended with the frumpy comment. I'll keep reading because MOST of this is funny but that hurt a little:(.
Haha! It's not that all SAHMs really ARE frumpy, it's that TAMN is shallow. Right? RIGHT?
GBM (God Bless Merica).
I'm so excited to see how your 24th of July goes! Also, I'd love to hear some of the names you are considering for your future babies. Utah baby names are so kewl!
I'm really glad they didn't choose to call it Themerica. America is really a lot more fitting.
This blog is great satire, keep it up!
I just read your whole blog and I haven't laughed this hard in, like, for EVER. Seriously, so hard!!!!
Is this blog for real? My friend sent me this link and begged that I read it. And why???? Seriously, you guys have got to be the biggest dumb shits I've come across in a while. You're blogging about whatever inane thoughts are rattling in your heads, and then reducing it to this drivel. Oh, I just vomited. . .
Chill, dude. It's a joke.
Score! Another idiot reader who can't recognize satire when it craps in his face.
Thanks Nathan!
HI! We had so much fun on the 4th. I love this country SOOOO much! Bush is the most awesome prez ever! Did you guys vote for him? I'll bet JJWT's Dad told you to!
Best entry yet. And the best phrase in the entry, those three little words that cannot help but bring joy to every heart: "Patriotic burp rags."
Okay, wait, this may or may not be the best entry ever. I'm also fond of self-improvement step #2, "Compliment an ugly person every day."
Fact is, I actually know someone who said that in all seriousness, in high school. I didn't know whether to laugh until my lungs hurt, or weep for the future.
Bless you, and my compliments, for parodying so well that I almost took you seriously!
shouldn't Nathan have said "biggest dumb caccas?" Let's watch our language here !!!
