So its my turn to teach the MiaMaids today on "Supporting Family Members." Unfortunately, the book is kind of a yawner cuz it keeps making it sound like you have to DO the helping instead of GET the helping...ugh. SOOO greatful for personal rev, so I don't have to fill bad about jazzing it up and making it about the Rascal Flats concert HeartNugget took me to this week! LIKE theirs a better way to get support from family members!
I'm bringing the cute concert tees for a centerpiece, and ice-cold cherry cokes for refreshments just like the song {bad I know, but exusable for such a good cause ;)}, a doc so we can listen to all the best songs on my iphone (Rascal's so religous they even say God Bless The Broken Road...IT'S LIKE THEY KNEW I NEEDED THIS LESSON!)!!
Sooo greatful me and Hubalub followed promptings to get strangers to snap our pics the whole night, bc there are tons of darling ones of us smooching, our ginorm kick-A belt buckles, and you can't tell that good from the pics so I might even have Angelbabe come in so we can demonstrate our fave concert move, the belt-hug, where we sway back and fourth for an hour holding e/o's belts! This will prolly be my last lesson pre-feti-exit, so I'm extra greatful to go out with a sassy bang thanx to the twofer I get to share w/ the YW today: not only do concerts help your family support you, PLUS Jessica Simpson opened, so we can have a great discussion about how sad and fat divorce makes people. This lesson is going to rock!
p.s. I still haven't heard from Yvette post-cruise, so for service I might drop off some of the Rascal pics at her place today bc we look so flipping cute in them that would totally cheer her up! Sundays are the best!

I am soo not ever getting divorced. eek.
I love concerts, sigh but unfortunately Celine came on a Sunday. I totally did the right thing and sold my tickets. I am NOT trying to sell my righteousness...but I pretty much rock it.
I am soo not ever getting divorced...eek.
I love concerts! I was soo going to Celine but she changed her date to a Sunday. I totally did the right thing tho and sold my tickets. Not to totally advertise my righteousness, but I totally rock.
Umm I really don't wanna get pinched so do I announce that I am totally green with envy because I don't have a big belt buckle, my snickerdoodle didn't get me tickets to that concert, I got released from YW a month ago, and I'm only going to have one baby IN July and am way bigger than you!!!! I just might be coveting your "fairytale life"
Ice-cold cherry cokes. I just started salivating.... yuum
TAMN, I def think you really are way inspired because I actually have had a Sunday School teacher play "God Bless the Broken Road" in our class. Only he brought it on a CD player (way lame and old) and he didn't have a center piece or cherry coke.
No joke, he did actually play it.
WOW TAMN, you are way inspired. I actually had a Sunday School teacher play God Bless the Broken Road in class like 5 or 6 years ago, but he totally didn't even have a center piece or cherry coke. Plus he played it on a CD player (way old and lame).
He actually did play it though.
Amazing lesson plan. Divorce does make you frump which is a very important lesson for the kids. They need to understand that the Lord's plan is for us to be perfect, and NOT frump so you cannot get divorced.
I am so jealous of your time at the concert. I'm so glad you got off bed rest and could enjoy music. I'm sure it uplifted the fetis too.
I'm kind of scared this post might be based on a true story.
Also, I hope the only reason you didn't go to Celine was bc of the Sabbath.
Best lesson ever! I look forward to seeing how your Mia Maids turn out! I think everyone else is so wrong...they are not going to turn out to be "Mean Girls"!
Yvette's probably too busy scrap-booking pictures from her trip and calling all the guys she met. She should start a blog! :)
I'VE SEEN YOU DO THAT BELT-HUG!
At least, I think it was you. Must've been.
Rascal Flatts are so reightous they should be a part of every lesson plan. And are you sure Yvette even came back from her cruise? Maybe she eloped with an island hottie!!
Just when I think you may run out of ideas...AWESOME. LURVE THIS POST! Favs: Personal rev, (which thankfully allows us to interject whatever the h we feel like in a lesson - TOTALLY ROCKS), ice-cold cherry coke on fast Sunday...eggcellent, and the winner, hands down "a great discussion about how sad and fat divorce makes people." YAYSH.
"twofer".....teehee.
Wow, we had this lesson today, wasn't half as exciting as yours sounds!
Wow! If you'd have been my YW leader, I'd have been such a different person than I am today! (sigh)
Dang, I wish my leader had brought me soda on Fast Sunday when I was a Mia Maid!
I'm so glad you called it "Fetal-exit." The word "Labor" sounds too much like hard work, and "birthing" sounds so hippie. "Fetal-exit" sound like little baby models strutting down a catwalk. I can't wait for their debut!
The part about Jessica Simpson/fat/divorce was my fave. The rest seemed so far out there it wasn't quite as funny. But maybe that's cause I haven't lived in Utah for awhile?
Divorce does make people sad and fat, just the way marriage makes people barefoot and blond (but you are probably too young to remember that one).
Belt-hug = so romantic. Can't wait to hear about your opinion on Yvette's cruise!
Just in case Yvette didn't find her eternal companion on the cruise, I'm sure pics of you all cute with yours will cheer her up/remind her of her pathetic single state! What a good friend you are!
What ever happened to bedrest? I am suprised the babies didn't make there exit there.
Hey TAMers, it's time for some new music on your blog...just a thought.
Wow. I wish you were my daughter's Mia Maid teacher. You are a great example to young women. You could have inspired her to go to BYU and find her own JJWT and be married before the 1st semester is over and get preggo with twins, instead of this non sense of going to a heathen college, getting a degree in Anthropology and joining a study-abroad program so she can live in London for a year. Where did I go wrong TAMN?
so glad you were able to take a break from your bedrest to see rascall flatts :)
Just picturing the Huge Belt Buckles and awesome dance moves made me laugh so hard I had to go to the Bathroom! What would I do without you to brighten up my day!
divorce makes you sad and flat! no wonder it's against the plan....
Thanx TAMN! I have to give the same lesson this Sunday. You rock for giving me the perfect lesson plan!
