sacrificial TAMN

You know, e-BFF The Grays asked me a while back:

TAMN, we all know that being a mom means sacrifice. What is the biggest sacrifice you have had to make since your twinses were born?

Wow! It seriously does mean sacrifice but those of you who aren't me can't rilly understand it, so its way hard for me to explain it.

Depth is the best.

Reflected all over that Q for a while and am starting to realize {is that even a word?} that I sacrifice my bum off basicly all the time.

I mean, I'm not complaining, but I think my biggest sacrifice is just in all the little things and how they ad up, you know?

I mean, it's HARD having your mom and MIL live w/ you {love you guys! You are sooo darling and such kickA examples to me!!},
and its way hard always sleeping w/ ear plugs {bc it makes my teensy ears produce like double the wax, gross, I know}, and its hard always making room for diapers in my Target shopping cart amist the sassy lamps and picture frames.

Those kind of sacrifices I just never excpected.

And seriously, it's hard to be on this cruise for only five days bc if it weren't for Alivyiah and Tridger we would of taken at least ten. And bc of them, I had to schedule the cruise to overlap w/ the Bachelorette premier and now I'm WAY out of the loop!

But you know what, despite of everything, I can say that overall, weather I'm tired or not, and even thru the long nites and the shortened cruising and the poop stains on my Anthro sweaters, and even though I can't have my bangs as sassily long as I want bc I have to be able to see more now, and even though I don't have enough time to devote to making hideous headbands bc I'm busy asking people to fold laundry and make dinner, no matter what....

it's
so
worth
it.

Isn't it darling how deep and grown up I am now?

Tamn, I used to say you knew you had entered the realm of responsible adulthood when you had your own health insurance policy...now i see being an adult is when you schedule (and sometimes sacrifice) your crusin time around the kids. You are sUcH A GrEaT ExAmPlE to me!!!!

Good thing someone is watching your kids while you shop. Could you imagine having to fill your shopping cart with diapers and lamps and frames AND KIDS?

"Sacrificial TAMN"? TAMN, have you seen "The Wrestler?" A big line from that movie is "Sacrificial Ram" (Ram is the main character's name). You know it's an R girl!

(Totally not judging and totally not admitting that I've seen it! Love you!)

Don't pretend that you don't hand the darlings over to the Mia Maids at the first sound of squirting. Seriously. I mean, there clothes are cheaper anyway.

Oh I'm soooo proud of you for sacrificing and giving soooooo much of yourself. To give up the sassy bangs is showing just how mature you are.

You know the totally true story about the boy who was born without ears, and suddenly the doctor found some "donor ears", and then he always wondered why his mom wore her hair long after that? You could be her.

"realize {is that even a word?}"

Tamn, I think you have a deep, dark secret. I think you hate 'hideous headbands' for baby girls. This isn't the first post I've noticed language like that.

{sorrowful head shake}
Why, Tamn, why?

This is honestly one of my favorite posts ever. how do you keep doing it, TAMN? "I can't keep my bangs as sassily long as I want bc I have to be able to see more now..." Seriously, hilarious!!

"hideous headbands" BA HA HA HA THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT!!!!!!!

dharvey said...

But, TAMN, the world needs more hideiously ugly headbands for baby girls. I think you should keep making headbands. They could not be any uglyer than the ones I see on babys' head's every day. Ugh. Why must little girls go thru this crap. You know what I mean.

"Despite of everything."

How much do I love that one?! Very well done.

Oy TAMN, I LOVE THIS BLOG! I love how you just keep it real. And as intimedating as motherhood is, you show us how worth it it really is. It is so obvious that you have totally grown and matured. Only a super spritual mom would let her kids have tons of bonding time with thier grandmas and not keep them all to themselves. This way, they'll always be super excited to see you! And talk about sacrifice...no more long bangs! What's next??...Three inch heels, instead of four inch! There's no limit to your depth!

You CAN'T get prego while nursing so keep nuzzling away! Also, please keep blogging about nuzzling. Single people LOVE hearing about it.

@ Ashley Ann: "spritual". Ha ha. I'd seen it spelled some other way before.. that works better.

May be the best TAMN answer yet:
is realize even a word?
Only a 5-day cruise?
Busy asking people to fold laundry and make dinner.....
Srsly could go on but will just say: TAMN you rock!

Whew-- for a split second when I saw the title of this post, I thought someone was going to sacrifice YOU! I literally almost died! So greatful you were just teaching us about your awesomeness! Thanks, TAMN!
