How mean is this!?
I am going to stick my nose in your business where it doesn't belong, but I just can't keep silent. However I tell you this in all kindness & concern for the welfare of your children. If you want your children to be taken seriously as adults, please reconsider their names. If you want an Olivia, name her Olivia. But giving her a train-wreck spelling only gives her the headache of having to spell it 2 million times over the next 75 years. And in the end the name is still Olivia--wait, or maybe it's All-ah-vee'--ah, my mistake? (maybe). Tridger doesn't have any style or ring to it. Made up names & creative spellings almost always sound contrived & always make the parents look illiterate, but in the end it's the kids who have to live w/ the names. Sorry, I just couldn't sleep tonight without speaking for the defenseless children.RUUUUDE! i prayed about those names and everything!!! Their adorable names, right? Sorry for wanting to be unique instead of lame. Do you have ANY idea how many Tiffany/Amber/Megan/Nicoles were in my class growing up!? The wood letters above there cribs look freakin' amazing.

In the mental health field, we call those "delusions," so really, you should be doing the charitable thing and refer them to your LCSW sponsor and/or drugs (not the bad kind, but the good kind... the kinds that don't go against the WoW).

AWESOME!!! My favorite comments are the ones where people correct some of the grammatical and/or spelling mistakes but fail to mention the rest. That leaves it open to the possibility that they didn't catch them, which makes me laugh because they are trying to show how smart they are but actually proved just the opposite! first of all, you are the parents and you can do what you want. if someone doesnt agree with the spelling of the names, then thats their thing. i think its okay that they say what they think, as long as its in a kind way. but in the long run you are the parents and make the decisions, not others. you will find this a lot as the kids get older and you will have people telling you what they think w/o you even asking it.

Preface: I did NOT write that second e-mail. Two of those were rude and out of line, but there is nothing wrong with caring about spelling and grammar. I think it's helpful to give someone a heads up. I would want someone to let me know if my poor spelling/grammar/diction was hanging out there for all to see without my knowledge. The English language is slipping away as more and more people don't care about the rules. What if we all stopped putting spaces between the words?
