deepest post ever.

Guys.

{serious sigh}

Done a ton of reflexion lately on who I am as a cute, skinny neighbor and a wifey and a mommy and a freind and a example of fitness and spirituality, and decided that I am a growing and learning and empowering as I become a different person with a bumload of maturity and insight seeking to inspire, refine and reach out to other's.

Theretofore, it's time for me to take a fake brake from blogging and persue a different path for my family. Farewell and thanx for the memories and CTR and, I'm telling you this bc I care, put down that cookie.

{We all know I will be blogging again tomorrow. I just post this deep stuff sometimes to illicit applause slash sympathy about how hard and busy my life is. So, proceed}

Oh my gosh, you are so giving. But you did scare me there for a second. Whew!

BAHAHAHA! Love this, and see it all the time. "I'm going to stop blogging." and then two or three days later they are blogging all the time again. Dead on.

I love that you are being self-reflective and its not even new year's day. I usually don't do that stuff until I'm am forced to by circumstances (like a day of nothing but football games.)

sarahgurl said...

being the self-less person you are I know you would never leave us to our pitiful selves, alone out there without your guidance. see you tomorrow!

Your life must be at least harder than Cher's, who had multiple farewell tours. Kudos to you for keeping it all together and continuing on in life!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

(is that what you were going for?? Was that enough attention???)

kris said...

I just don't know how you do it all. Your life is SO HARD.

Chelsea said...

If you stop blogging I WILL KILL MYSELF.

There, is that validating enough for ya?

Kelly P said...

Are you taking a facebook detox, too?? You will so grow from it.

Love it. I never understand why people announce blogging breaks. People take breaks from blogging all the time and never say a word.
What, are you trying to prepare me for the loss of your blog? Is my life, without your blog THAT meaningless?
Maybe it is, maybe it isn't, but assuming it is... well... we all know what happens when you assume.

Kristina P. said...

You are like the Jon Gosselin of Bloggers. I'm pretty sure he has bid farewell to his children at least 10 times.

Now, all you need is a slutty babysitter for JJWT.

Nicole said...

Yeah, your life is tuff! But at least you don't have to go give a victim impact statement at the Utah State Prison to try to keep your scummy ex-husband behind bars for a few more years. Off to Point of the Mountain I go.

On second thought,
Your life really is harder.

How did you know I was eating a cookie?!!

sigh. I wish I had 'a bumload of maturity'

Gracie said...

How can I put down the cookie when I have just learned that my very best friend and example is deserting me? This is stress eating Tamn. Just think how monstrously fat I'll be by tomorrow when you come back to say you inspired to keep blogging.

LOVE YOU!!! enjoy your sabbatical hiatus

There is just nothing quite as impressive as a bumload of maturity. Way to let that light shine.

Frau said...

How can you possibly become deeper and more mature without blogging?

Go back and read your own posts and you'll see it's true. Then grace us with a post of, "I was just reading my post on X date and I didn't realize it at the time but what I said was so deep and true!"

I'm glad that bloggers like yourself warn us before the deep posts. Because it serves as a warning that you are way over our heads - out there. Somewhere.

Kam said...

Wow. I found your blog last week, and I haven't accomplished much of anything at work ever since. Reading about your life sure gives me hope...hope that my wife can become more like you. You are so fit, (for the kingdom) hawt, and constantly reach out to others, in your very special way.

Thanks for not putting your candle under a bushel. Keep wearing those modest supertites, so all of us can enjoy your testimonies.

I was real bummed there for a second...you shouldn't scare us like that!

If you stop blogging, I won't shave my legs again until you do.

So is this where you want lots of comments with sympathy and telling you you're a good person so you won't stop???

bumload... hahahahahahaha

I didn't realize that you did things "illicitly"!

Lizzen said...

Oh my gosh TAMN! How could you even do that to your followers, who hang on your every word and—let's be honest—probably wouldn't even be active if it weren't for your example.

BUT... Maybe it's time to focus on your infertilities. I mean, you're not getting any younger. Seriously, if you weren't married by now you'd be an old maid. But since you are married but you only have two kids, well... Get on it, girl!

Misty said...

I admire you and all you do. Please post again when you're ready!

jennie said...

Tamn! i hope someday, when i'm a cute stylish non-frumpy mommsie of twinners myself that i can be as deeply inspired and well rounded and heartfelt and DaRlInG as your cute self. you truely are an inspiration to us single ladies. a reel roll-model for us to strive to be like. and i heart you and your adoreableness!

I honestly read a lady's blog who tells her readers about once a week she needs to stop blogging and focus on her family, just to write a post later that day. It is hilarious.

Alanna said...

No, pleeze don't stop blogging, TAMN! You're blog is the highlight of my life. Where would we all be and who would learn fashion/losing el-bees/catching hot hubbies/birthing twinsies lessons if not right here at SSB?

Don't leave us all out in the cold like that, TAMN. What would Jesus do?

brookeaprilrain said...

I was a bit freaked out there myself. I'm like, why would she quit? NOOOOOO! I'm so glad you didn't, you're one funny lady!

Cassie said...

"bumload of maturity" you have to be at least 12 different people I know... I am laughing so hard my ribs hurt.

Your life is so busy and amazing! Good luck turning in-ward (in the most out-ward way) and focusing on your awesome little family. Like making/buying cute outfits for the twins and taking thousands of photos to post--er not post.

Token Asian Friend said...

Wow, TAMN, reflexive is a real word! Probably not the one you were thinking.

Rachelle said...

I'm sooooooooooooo glad you will be writing again tomorrow, you definitely inspire me to put that cookie down (or in this case, right now it's chips). Thanks for all your advice and keep up the awesome work.

Lesa said...

Oh wow you scared me! Literally I was actually scared you wouldn't be here any more. That would brake my heart.

Seriously NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! ...Okay is that enough applause slash sympathy? Now back to my cookie...;)

GladysIcanbe! said...

Blogging is simply journaling, it's not your life. The profits of olden times, like Spencer Kimball, told us we need to journal so our posteriority will be blessed. Do it for the twinners.

Rachel said...

"illicit applause slash sympathy".

How can I get me some of that?

Anonymous said...

YES! This is the best cure for writer's block (or anyway blogger's block) that I know of. For me, I think this is how it works: When I say I won't blog anymore, it removes all my sense of duty to document my family's doings or to write anything meaningful, which gives me a new sense of permission to write about totally trivial and meaningless things--which puts me right back at business as usual!

About a week ago I did see a blog where the blogger not only said she needed to take a break and focus on her family, but she also TOOK DOWN ALL HER POSTS. Every last little archived one of them. The only thing left was her little "See ya later, losers!" post. (Not a direct quote.) I thought, yeah, why don't you just go ahead and toss that baby out the window with the bathwater? Because it's not like anybody's ever going to do a Google search and find something in your archives and give you one hit on your blog for that day, thus fulfilling the purpose of your existence, or anything.

Teresa said...

Definitely don't forget to "take a break" from Facebook as well. Just enough time for me to miss your tri daily posts, and then come back!

Unknown said...

Deep thoughts, love them. So here is my deep thought: life just gets more HUMBLING!!!! All I know i that I do not know much!!!

Carolyn said...

should I feel guilty that I had literally just eaten a cookie before I read this? I think your warning was too late, TAMN

marlamuppets said...

seriously. i have to know.
are you from utah?
tell the truth.

mintifresh said...

Nice! I was waiting for this one. you do so much for everyone else including your E-BFFs. It's about time you look out for yourself and make more time for your manis and pedis.
I still ate the cookie, sorry.

Unknown said...

OMH!!!! You totally can't go! What am i going to do at my stupid, something to do until I find my JJWT, job? I totally don't know if i can do it. And i'm totally not eating a cookie, it's a sugar free, fat free yogurt, but i may have to switch to cookies till you come back. I know this is for the best and that you need to take some time and focus on yourself. You are so giving and kind. I try to be more like you every day. Hugs! Tomorrow feels like forever away...

Anyhooo right on for you taking a fake brake. Had many friends do this because the pressure or the "noise" was just to great to blog. OH BLECH.....
Their just attention seekers. But not you T...your fir real!

Pure genius. This post is so dead on, it's almost scary!

You're going to disobey the prophet by stopping writing in your journal?!? TAMN, blogging is part of the plan!!! It's like doing family history without having to do boring stuff like research dead people! Repent and return!

chelsea mckell said...

I guess I don't read enough blogs... I've never seen anyone commit this sin.

What I DO see is people not blogging for awhile, then coming back and posting something about how they're just having so much FUN enjoying the outdoors and having crazy zany adventures that they haven't blogged... thus trying to make those of us who HAVE blogged feel like our lives are inferior to theirs in fun-ness.

LOVE the costco/sam's club survey. I'm so glad Costco is kicking trash.

Oh. My. Gosh. I totally misread this. I thought you said Fake Bake Break. Whoa.
