OMGsh!!!! I'm SO GOING TOO! Maybe we'll see each other there!!!!! eeeeee

every. freaking. detail. is dead on. the husband "babysitting" his own kids is exactly what the TAMNs of the world call it. i love you.

Sarah Schulz said...

Oh, I just can't wait to hear what JJWT does while be babysits. Man party, maybe?

Unknown said...

bwaahhh!!! jjwt's going to "babysit". priceless.

Maren said...

The evited hip half of the RS. haha! How did you know I got one of those!
Only I'm really one of those that can wait until it comes to Redbox. I can feel you frownsmiling at me, TAMNers....

TopHat said...

I love that JJWT is going to "babysit" as opposed to being a father and actually parent.

Jenni said...

Ok, I HATE that. I HATE it when women say their husbands will 'babysit' for them. If it's your baby too, how can it be babysitting?? it's called PARENTING. But, yea, you hit the nail on the head...again!! Love it!

JJST is totally Edwardian to babyset for you. Are you sure his name is JJST and not EJST? From now on I am always going to think of you as BAMN (B = BELLA), except that you are like the most beautiful & skinny girlfriend ever, (and lets face it, kristin stewart is clearly, well, bless her heart (not to be jugmental). Anywayz, oh, ya. I was thinking that Stephenie (not mispelled, she uses an "e") Meyers, (I actually met someone who sort of knows her!) she should have made Bella spunky and blond like us, or like switched the way Bella and Rosalie look. I'm just sayin. So back to what I was saying, maybe you should go by RAMN (R=Rosalie). Oh, but then Edward would be your brother, GROSS! TAMN is cool so PLEEZ don't change it.

: ) Paula said...

I was just wonderin', can you be a member in good standing if you haven't gotten at least one group evite to see it? Just sayin.

So, what you're saying is that Mormon women are blogging about New Moon, huh?

BECAUSE I HADN'T NOTICED, LADIES!!!!

And no post seems complete without one of those snarky countdown tickers. If you forgot yours I'm totally telling Sister Stephenie Meyer on you! She was fab-u-less on Oprah the other day, or did you already read about that on buncha blogs and then talk about it at a-meeting-formerly-known-as-enrichment?

brookeaprilrain said...

I'm stoked, I get to see it tonight at 8:40. I can hardly wait!

Hillary Hall said...

Just when I thought you were slacking....

Charity said...

It's not called babysitting when it's their own kids. It's called being a Daddy. Just sayin'...

: ) Paula said...

I hate it when women say that their husband is "babysitting." Like it's this unique, occasional task. Thanks for throwing that little ditty in there, TAMN. And thanks for sneaking the achievement day girls out to see New Moon. ALL must swoon. Even 8-11 year-olds, am I right?!?

Leslie said...

What kind of nubile young woman am I? Totally forgot that this was tonight. Slash tomorrow.

Maybe, maybe we'll watch it when it comes to Redbox.

So proud of JJWT. then agin, if it came down to watching {{{THE MOVIE}}} with you or babysitting the kids, I'd go with the man-party that just happens to have some little angels running around. If i was him.

larainydays said...

Too bad you don't live in Arizona, in sister Meyer's ward like I do. We already watched a sneak peak at a special "formerly known as enrichment" meeting. Nah nah na nah nah.

chelsea mckell said...

Again, logging on for the comments, and clicking the little box so they all get emailed to me.... cuz some of you ladies (and guys - I think there are at least 2 who read this) leave awesomely funny comments. Paula - "the-meeting-formerly-known-as-enrichment" Sarah - yeah, of course he'll have a man party. That's what all worthy men do while their women go to New Moon.

How much do you pay JJWT? I mean, the man's in law/biz/med/dental school. He can't come cheap. Maybe one of the less cute miamaids could have babysat for cheaper.

Elder Ernest Elliott said...

Um, I have to know, what are you wearing? Did you buy an I <3 Jacob shirt? Are you sticking with Edward? Or are you dressing up as Bella. I hope your group has coordinated outfits so that you have all the characters there!

Kristen said...

You're taking me and my Achievement Day girls to see New Moon, right? Some parents, I don't get it, but they think those vampire books are too sexy for 8-11 year olds. Come on now, anything written by a graduate of the Lord's university is completly pure and has uber standards!

Em said...

you didn't mention if he bought you a t-shirt yet already. shhhh, i won't tell if he didn't, but MY husband got me the CUTEST new moon t-shirt to wear over my cutest basketball pregnant belly. don't worry, i'll take lots of pictures and post them, if i'm not too busy having too much fun to remember to take them;-)

Totally, I agree. Bella and Eddie even abided by the Law of Chastity and didn't do nuthin until they got married. See how faithful they are!

So, now we just have to petition the Church to accept vampires into the fold. Vampires are people too!

Lisalulu said...

ALL of you are totally invited to my house for a girls weekend. I live by Forks, and we can go to the theater RIGHT HERE in Port Angeles, which is of course next door to Bella Italia, where we can all have dinner talk about (critique) the movie! It is gray and raining and just right for ALL the family (vampires) to be out for the first showing.

April said...

You know, Stephenie Meyer is my cousin. Srsly. I posted about it today. And a few months ago. And last year. Can't help it if I'm famous.

Krisling said...

I'm going... in approximately 2.5 hours I will be watching it! My husband's work got early tickets so we all get to see it 7 hours before you losers.

JJWT didn't get early tickets through his work? frownsmile. I WIN.

Haylee Abney said...

Can't wait TAMN!!!!! ohhhh my gosh tonight is gonna be soooo fun!!!! gahhh!!!

I always feel bad for the husbands whose wives are fanatically obsessed with Edward... Twilight makes me want to gouge my eyes out.

Anonymous said...

Not to make you all jealous or anything but I am totally going to an advanced screening today. That's right not tomorrow at midnight but TODAY. My life is so much more awesome than yours for once!

Anna said...

:::has so many words, there are no words:::

Is there ANYONE on the face of this planet who actually does not give a flying bat's booty about this movie (besides me)?? Or the Twilight series itself?? I'm not hatin' (because that would mean caring) I guess the appeal just isn't working on me. However, I too, am seeing this movie with a group of friends who invited me and I politely accepted. I am hoping it will be worth the hours standing in line and the patience needed to put up with the possible hysterical behavior from others in the theater. Please do not shun me, or chastise me, or insult my femininity or whatever tactic it is Twihards use these days, I just feel awkwardly out of the loop.

Sorry, TAMN, for hijacking your blog comments to vent. Give JJWT a pat on the head for babysitting. :)

Anonymous said...

My husband asked if I wanted to go see it last weekend and I was like "Huh, it's already out?" and "You know there's no way we'll get tickets, right?" Turns out he'd found some special midnight showing at one theater and assumed the movie was already released. We didnt' go because I wasn't interested in the midnight showing--I keep that time slot open for blog-surfing.

Maybe I should get a babysitter (other than my husband) for tomorrow night and buy tickets online. Maybe. I'm kind of dreading all the Bella-moping in this one, though. So yeah, maybe I'll wait and do Redbox. (If my husband can stand to wait. Not sure if he was actually excited to see the movie or just thought he was humoring me, but it kind of seemed like he kind of was looking forward to it. Not to diminish his masculinity or anything.)

Anonymous said...

I forgot to mention that my cousin's hubby crossed off every instance of Edward's name in the book and replaced it with his own name. (When my 12-year-old son heard that story, he said, "He should have replaced Bella's name, too, or else it's like they're both being bad.")

Also, in one of those posters Jacob looks really sullen and pouty and angsty and angry and grumpy and growly and awnry, but don't worry, 1800 pages further on he'll imprint on Bella's half-vampire baby and that will cure the pouties.

You can only truly appreciate Edward if you have an Edward in your life. So all you Edward haters stinks for you!

i CANNOT BELIEVE you aren't taking the TWiNZiES to go see the best.movie.ever.

RUDE.

No fence or anything....

Close to ditto for me, except as Primary Pres, that's just too young for the CTRs & Valiants to be joining our possee, so I'm meeting up w/friends, family and more friends to join the madness Friday afternoon.

twighlight = mormon porn. I, too, feel bad for the husbands of all the women obsessed with edward or jacob or whoever! it's only okay if you cross out the names and insert your own. then it's not cheating.

I had to get a REAL babysitter to watch my kids while I go to the movie because my hunka hunka burnin' love has to work. Lame! I told him to call in sick, but he doesn't think it's worth it. It's just hard when you're not equally yoked with your husband.

missOlea said...

Um, I already saw this like 20 hours ago (last night at 9pm - it's 2pm now - what am I, expected to do maths or something?) and your countdown still says 2 hours to go. Sad.

That international date line sucks, huh?

GladysIcanbe! said...

Can I just add how seriously sad I was that JJWT was not named the sexiest man ever ?! by People. geez and the fact that he babysits his own kids makes him even more hottier.

Oh, good. I was seriously starting to wonder what the H was wrong with you that you hadn't blogged about New Moon yet. No 'fence. :}

Holy Crud! This is so "spot on" I can't even take it. Nice one, TAMN.

The Griffins said...

You mean you haven't seen it yet? Wow. I went to an advanced showing at 6:30 last night! Have fun tonight though! {frownsmile}

Jessica said...

Wasn't it AMaZiNG!?!?!? If I wasn't Mormon I'd convert to Vampire. **sigh** I HEART Edward....but I can't deny Jacob was smokin' hot sans his shirt!

Lines Family said...

Hey TAMN, I love your post about New Moon. But I was looking around your blog and noticed that you still have your lactating ticker up. I know you said that you were done, but are you really? And if you are still nursing that could be why you haven't got pregnant yet. No fence, just trying to be helpful! :)

Sweet Em said...

@Anna - I wonder what other things you've done in life "just to be polite"? If you don't want to go - don't.

Lori said...

Hah, Anna's is my favorite comment. Anna, were you being funny, or are you actually that lacking in self-awareness?

I'm so superior to the movie and to all the dumb girls who want to see it. I'm going on opening weekend with a big group of friends...but just because I'm so polite. My scorn only shows how much smarter I am than the rest of you.

Madame Palmkey said...

I would like to vote secret option four on your pole. The only diet coke you'll be drinking when you burn in heck is boiling hot cola as you shovel on the coal. Shame on you.

Anonymous said...

wow. you put those up the night that comes out. i can't believe you tamn. i thought that you would have had new moon countdowns right after twilight came out. i just lost so much respect for you.

Karen said...

I think your Dh is one smart man to babysit while you go watch the movie...

He knows he'll be well rewarded when you come home and act upon all the vampy lust that built up during the flick!

Hip 'n Critical Me said...

All this New Moon madness needs to stop. How do you have nothing to do but fawn over teenaged men who play poorly-written characters that damage the very existence of feminism?

P.S. Team Jacob for life! Now all you twi-hard are gonna fall for him cause he's so hawt!

Merrilyn said...

Lori...that is one funny comment! I have to admit that I am one of those who kind of, secretly likes it, but I dont want to admit I like it because then I look like one of those dumb women in Utah/Idaho "bubble." So, instead I just mock Edward's bad makeup and the wolve's bad wig...because then I do look like one of the smart "gentiles."

Brooke said...

I love your blog! My sister notified me about it and it just sounded soo funny so I had to check it out! I love love love it!!

LauraLuv said...

It was AMAZING! Better then Twilight I think, even though New Moon was my least favorite book. I'm still on Team Edward but how could you not LUV Jacob's newly aquired 35 lbs of muscle and pure hottness!
I am sooo thankful for Stephenie Meyer!!!

Laura said...

when are you going to post again TAMNy - new moon was soo last week. we have thanksgiving and Black Friday this week.

Anna said...

Thanks for the snark, @Lori @Sweet Em. You both did a great job reading way too far into my comment. I neither said nor implied the things you two accused me of doing but I guess what else am I supposed to expect from two defensive Twihards? I'm neutral on the topic of Twilight ladies, I just don't care about it but I won't say 'no' to going to a movie I have no interest in if it means a chance to be with friends. That is all.
