a whole nuther gIvEawAy

Ok I still have to journal about the best weekend ever and what its like being back in MY HOUSE and MY WARD and how much I've CHANGED and MATURED since being gone but it's gIvEawAy time so that'll have to wait and come on, shriek out about the prizes with me! This time you can win:

  • Cakebite box from The Sweet Tooth Fairy!!!!!! You can even get this one in the mail if your not local so, yum. When I splurge & eat one it's the only thing I eat all day but it is so worth it and if you've had one you're drooling along with me I know it.
  • An awesome baby cd of your choice from Tender Cargo and the Nurture Center! My kids are probably going to be more multicultural then yours if you don't get one and honestly that's just sad.
  • Know how I always say vinyl is divine-yl? TWO lucky winners will each get one $25 GC to ScribbleIt! They now have a do it yourself thing where you can enter your own quote and font and design whatever you want. I'm thinking about getting {in papyrus} Live Laugh Purge Love.

  • A two-month membership to the pedi of the month club from Cultures Salon! If you live in Zion {like I do now} then you can do it at Cultures Salon in Clearfield and if not, they can do it by mail so either way, not to be rude, those bunnions have gotta go.
  • The best set of Shirley J stuff you could dream up on like a hundred Vicadons. One lucky winner will get Shirley J's Universal Sauce, Beef Bouillon, Chicken Bouillon, Onion Seasoning, Pizza & Pasta Mix and Dough Enhancer. ANNNNND a bunch of the bakery stuff, including Sugar Cookie Mix, Honey White Bread Mix, Honey Wheat Bread, Universal Sweet Roll Mix AND Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix. Basically you could have the nummiest food storage in America and make every brat in the ward feel frumpy and jealous. PLUS five other winners will receive a can of Shirley J's Universal Cream Sauce. Seriously.
  • A huge temple portrait from Poppyseed Projects. Sorry if you got married in a temple besides Salt Lake :( I guess you could still hang this up and no one would know. Anyways, Poppyseed Projects does cute and cheap crafts for enrichment and YW and that's what me and my MiaMaids do like every week.
  • A watch face AND band of your choice from Chunky Bling. I think I told you I had like thirty but now I have like forty and they always match my shoes and the twinses accscessories. AND if you want one for your own teensy wrist you can all get free shipping with the code TAMN at checkout.

Whew! Winners will be chosen by the universe at random. To enter, leave a comment on this post {one per person plz} by Friday Sept 4th at midnite and check back over the weekend {from your iphone if you'll be at Lake Pal like us} to see if YOU are seriously, so blessed enough to win. Okay, HCG's making me lightheaded but I'm already down like 4 ell-bees which I didn't even have to loose so things are getting crazy. GOOD LUCK AND LOVE YOU!

yum!

{One} of the things I LOVE LOVE LOVE about being home is THE FOOD since there was like NOWHERE TO EAT in DC!

but here? AUTHENTIC YUM!

Guys, I've had rio for the last five meals. This means I have 3/8 of a pork salad w/ shredded lettuce left.

yayyyyy, i think!

Guys!

Yay! Turns out that if you spend all day every day
blogging &
facebooking &
spamming &
tweeting &
just generally e-preening,
when people ask you what you do you just say your "in social media" and suddenly it's like my darling blabbers make me Katie Currick or whoever & wah-la, a real job! Yay! Like devil wears prada kind of, plus kids, and the plan, and a better bod.

but now i'm all conflicted, bc it's like i AM all about social media, but also at the same time i'm suspicous and judgy about real jobs, especially for girls.

Now this is getting really tricky.

{befuddled frowny that brings out my carefully shaped brows}

easy babies OR my worth as a mother

GUYS I HAVE SO MUCH TO TELL YOU!

SORRY I HAVEN'T BLOGGED IN FOREVER!

Seriously w/ moving back from DC and going back to law/biz/med/dental school and the trying to help the new wive's club administration get situationed since my reign as prez is over, seriously, things are crazy in a really together sort of way, so I'll catch up way soon but just wanted to say firstly MISS YOU GUYS!

And further more, so embarassing that I haven't blogged for awhile about how EASY-GOING and FUSS-FREE and CLEAN and MELLOW and SMILEY and DARLING and CHILL my babies are and how blessed I fill that they have never not slept thru the night since the day they were born.

Seriously Alivyiah & Tridger are the best behaved five month olds and sleep like such champs and giggle all day and never cry and their poops smell like daisies so when I go longer than two posts without mentioning how easy they are and how everyone comments on how easy they are {since the easyness of babies is a reflection of my worth as a mother and human/cuteness/ability to shop at Anthro} I just don't want anyone to get the wrong eye-dih and think that they aren't still great bc they are the easiest babies in America.

dRaMa DrAmA dRaMa

Ugggggh!

Since we're moving now, even though I'm not cheezy I wanted to blog a darling tribute post to all my girls here in DC who have seriously been like family to me! I love love love them so much I can't stand it! This summer has been the hardest ever! Not having a calling! And the humidity! And no craft room! And always running into hobos on accident with the double stroller! Being away from family 7-10 days at a time! And you know how I feel about no good news min. Not complaining, just saying.

But weird bc the hardest summer ever was also the funnest summer ever, which I know makes no sense but honestly! Bc of our adorable intern couple friends who are all the EXACT same as us and now we have like thirty zillion inside jokes about Wicked and Cheesecake and Pinkberry and plus a dozen of us are going to make and sell baby hairbows at darling boutiques with catchy names when we get home...you can't find a group like this anywhere else, you know? I'm crying even thinking about being away from them! Tender mercy is that we all pinky swore to not steal e/o's baby names and if we do to spell them different and more creative. We'll all seriously go in on a houseboat on Pal next year and have reunions forever bc honestly, that's how close we are.

Moving is so hard. I want to come back to visit but I didn't make a single friend that will be here after next week {do those ppl even exist? LOL!}.

Anyways, except now there's like a ton of drama and I am so sick of being such a girl about this. I don't want to get into it so I'll just say that I don't even want to blog about how much I love them right now bc at Farewell Bunko last nite, I just found out that Kaysi and Lauren told Aubree and Kaylee that Whitni and Andrea said that Tiff and Staci weren't mad, just really shocked and disappointed that when last week they came over to JJWT and I's house I didn't blog about it and that later when I talked about it I accidentally just said, "Tiff and Staci."

Isn't that embarassing????

I totally spaced the importance of always pre-facing names with "Cute." Everyone knows if you don't always say or blog "Cute Tiff" or "Cute Staci" it implicates that they are disgusting.

back2school pt 1

Can you believe sUmMeR is zipping by so fast???

Sad bc of no more tans, but happy bc of boots and sweaters! Soon we say bye-bye to DC :( but hello to Rio and cute hair, so, total mix blessing. So exited to see tons of you so soon!

Excepp now I'm reallllly feeling the pressure bc gotta get Studbucket's back to school shopping done!! but its way hard to keep up on hip trends here bc in DC, everyone eltse just wears black and looks angry, and all the OTHER wive's here that are my BFFs {tribute post to come girls, love you!} and me haven't been home to Zion in a week or two either so we are totally out of the loops. Haven't been to a single boutique all summer can you believe?

Seriously, usually I GIVE this advise, but what are all the other wive's buying their law/med/dental/biz school hubbies for back to school???? Pastels in, pastels out? I would just die if I buy him cargo shorts and a button up and then and he goes and is the only one there still wearing that. It's like last year when one day I didn't pack him a lunch OR give him lunch money and so he starved and I felt like the worse mom...I mean wife...ever! embarassing!

Sunday enspired Qs

1. Babies wearing playclothes to church. Sinful or darling?

2. Rubbing anti-bacterial on the pews when you get there. Weirdo or smarto?

so deep and so true

~~~SiMpLiFy!~~~
This is my darling new slogan and I am putting it EVERYWHERE: ginormous glittery wood letters in dinning room, vinyl in kitchen, stickers on clocks, scrapbooked pitcher frames in living room, handpainted on the damask upstairs, seriously, EVERYWHERE. Made JJWT, Alivyiah & Tridger binders with color-coded simplicity instructions for every day of the week {with a complicated reward system} and then called all the people in my home biz donwline & invited them to buy wood letters that say SIMPLIFY for a 30% discount if they color code there closets and binders the same way! Also I brain-storm'd some rules to help me.
My goals for being more SIMPLIFY:
1. be way less materialistic
2. own a buttload of shoes
3. grow my hair way past my boobs
4. put everything in this font
MoMatchelor update -- Steve!
Remember these guys? LOVE LOVE LOVE helping make lurve connections! Thanx to YOU and YOUR darling votes , Steve went out with Amy, Heather and Tricia. Want to hear about it?
Steve & Amy
Amy's Report: Steve and I very much enjoyed ourselves last week up at Sundance. We spent some unhurried time walking around the hiking trails up there and beating our own path through the woods. Steve is a brilliant conversationalist whose wide knowledge base, strong opinions, quick wit, and incisive argumentation skills left me alternately amused and amazed. We shared a lovely dinner there, and enjoyed the conversation so much that we really didn’t want to leave when we were done eating. We found, much to our mutual surprise and delight, that we actually agreed on a wide range of issues and interests. Thanks so much for setting us up—I haven’t enjoyed a date that much in quite some time.
Steve & Heather
Heather's Report: Luckily, numerous failed attempts to communicate via phone before the date were no indication of the date’s outcome. Lost phone chargers and long-distance-blocked phone lines were overcome by email, and we finally got together on Saturday morning to hike through the Timpanogas caves. Things were off to a good start, and despite my hesitancy to go on a “blog date” for spinsters, the entire date was…great. [Should we be surprised that people who survive BYU without a ring don’t always have a tragic flaw? After all, it’s the ones from the Quill and Sword club that seem to get married so quickly, right? Frownsmile if you belong to that club.] The hike gave us plenty of time to talk—from world travel (where he’s been and where I would like to go) to dating disasters. We took a picture at the “heart of the cave” [who wouldn’t?] and enjoyed the beautiful view in the canyon. Hiking made us hungry. I was pleasantly surprised not to hear, “So where would you like to go?” and instead hear that he came with a plan. He gets points for decisiveness and originality; we went to the Trellis CafĂ© at Thanksgiving Point. Delicious sandwiches and sweet potato fries—old favorite of his, new favorite of mine. Mo-matchelor date: success.
Steve & Tricia
Tricia's report: So I know it's been a long time waiting, but just a few weeks ago, the fabulous Steve flew all the way to Utah to take me on our date. He had done a little planning and decded that Snowbird would be the location for our evening of fun! When we got up there, he purchased two day passes--which lets you do EVERYTHING--and we headed for the Alpine Slide. We raced the alpine slide (he won), zipped down the zip-line (I won!), braved the mechanical bull (which might have been more entertaining for the guy sitting on the bench next to it, who was laughing at us!), scaled the rock wall and jumped on the trampoline. After all that excitement, we took a ride up the tram to the top of the resort to check out the view. Throughout the evening we chatted about our families (specifically the family members who nominated us in the first place) and our jobs, hobbies, etc. And about YOU TAMN! (couldn't get through a SSB date without talking about the woman who made it all possible!) Thanks, TAMNers...you are seriously so amazing. Then we took a short walk over to enjoy a scrumptious Italian dinner complete with dessert. Yum! Steve shared stories of his word travels and impressive plans for his budding career. I quickly found that he is very well traveled (MUCH more than I am!) and seems to have all his ducks in a row! (Something that is RARE in my experience--the ducks part, not the traveling part). After all was said and done, Steve, being the sensitive, nice guy that he is, took me home because I had to get up early the next morning. I had a fun time and I think Steve is a real catch! Good luck to you Steve!
Steve said he had a great time with all of them and was just sad no one wanted to go hot-tubbing at this apartment complex where his roommate from freshmen year used to live and said it was totally ok. He will choose one of these hotties to go out w/ again soon! Any guesses?
p.s. Know what's weird is that none of them ONCE said "journey" or "putting myself out there."
you GUYS!
No WAY was yesterday's post an announcement!!!!!!
Let's be honest {w/o sharing TMI}.
We decided to "start trying" last nite {which was amazing} but then this morning I found out about a marathon I wanna train for bc one of the MiaMaids texted me that Lynzii is, so we're not trying anymore. But I will let you know and maybe even put up an ovulation ticker so you feel PART OF EVERYTHING. And now since we're not trying I decided to do this new diet you may have heard of! NOT bc I need to lose the ell-bees {I so don't} just for the challenge.
This new diet rocks and involves {not even kidding}
1. binge-ing w/ fatty fat fat foods for like 3 days
2. injecting myself w/ preggo hormones every day
3. only eat 500 calories a day for a month!
doesn't that sound HEALTHY and AWESOME?
August 10, 2009
mediochre monday
Hi everybody!!!! Okay, so I hate downer's, and it takes alot to make me feel bad, but have to share somethings w/ you 2 things that make me way frowny. Sad!
Sorry in advance if it bumbs you out!
1. Public transportation.
Honestly it makes me shutter. AngelNougat made me leave the escalade in Utah for this summer's DC move bc it's supposably to big for the city, and people here take something we locals call the quote-on-quote Metro. Public transportation is so gross and dirty I swear! People are always uptight on it and in a hurry, so, I love to stand on the left and just give them time to slow down and ponder you know?
Even though it's a great service opp, public transportation is sick.
2. Pregnant. Ew! It's so gross when people ON PURPOSE say "pregnant" or even worse, "expecting". Barf!
I feel frumpy just typing it. Preggy or preggo or preggers are SO much cuter.
shoot its time for shots!
The twinses are so darling. Wasn't they're note to me so funny???? JJWT is adorable and so thoughtful and thought up that all on his own. Swear it.
{mani'd fingers crossed}
Anyways when Lyvs and Tridges were 2 mos there shots were the saddest things ever. They turned so red yelling and I screamed and held them and they held me and it was just horrible and I was so greatful for the extra lortab i'd saved from my natural birth bc it calmed me way way down. And now that their 4 mos {and a little} its time for shots again and I'm soooo nervy!!!!
Will they get all polio or autistic?? Or is it better to vaccination them now? I read about it, and by read I mean asked the other girls I went to hair school with, but I make decisions about my kidses lifes almost exlusively by asking the internets for anicdotal evidence.
WHAT SHOULD I DO???
Being a parent is so hard. If your not one, your adorable but everything in you're life is trivial and you just don't get the heighth of my love and worries.
