theme-y meeme-y

YIKES!
Been so busy venting and strategying about my calling
and making my resolutions all cute
and
signing up for races
and
designing stuff
and
prepairing to redue my house all awesome
that I keep meaning to blog and totally forgetting and
all of a sudden it's been a whole DAY!! sorrrrryyyy!!!

Honestly I have tons to share and catch up on but the batterys on the twins dvd players are dead so better make this quick. Guys, whats you're theme for the year or {more importantly} what should mine be?

Anyone who matters {no offence} has a theme, like meaning or passion or yearn or radiate or AHA!, usually one or two touchiefeelie words that don't make sense on they're own but that you say alot, sinse resolutions are good but you still need something catchier and themes make it easier to seem super deep and meaningful which are two of my strengths. Any idizz??

Can't decide, but right now I'm thinking mine will prolly be glam or eltse minimize.

How about "Glory," cause you're so awesome and all and people should glorify you?

Kerry said...

Now that you mention it, themes DO make people seem deep!

How about something that sounds churchy like JOURNEY or CULTIVATE?

So what happens if I don't have a theme OR resolutions? Well, I guess I'll save on vinyl. Sweet.

Shabby Glam

Vintage Glam

Greatful Glam

Glamitude

Gratitudify

Humbly Hot

Hottie Homemaker

Humble Glam

Glaminize

Whatever it is it should really express how thankful you are that your life is so much better than other peoplez. Like the lady in my ward who bore her testimony of visiting teaching and said she loved it because she was able to help so many people and seeing how sad their lives were made her appreciate how great hers was. Just such a great example of how to gratitudify.

I'd go with "ME!"

What about Glam Candor?

Glaminimize?

In light of your recent calling with your nemesis, I would recommend "Magnify." I like "Glam" too.
For me, the resolution this year is "Discover Me."

How about combine those to make glaminimize? Themes are way more adoorable when they are a word you made up yourself. You could cut out vinyl letters that say "glam", "minimize", and "glaminimize" and put them everywhere.

Madame Palmkey said...

Definitely not minimize. For you, unattainable without removing your post-baby breast implants and anyway, it sounds unAmerican. Glam is ok but kind of makes you sound like Glamma who is sweet but ew. I think maybe the following
Shine -- excuse for sparkles, self-aggrandizement, makeup, classes in whatever you think you're best at etc.

Glow -- similar to previous

Sparkle -- likewise, but with more lip gloss

Euphoria -- like joy, but more so and sets an impossible standard for you're friends to copy.

Avoid the following: Live, laugh, love, family -- too obvious and lame. If a pre-made vinyl sign exists, it is not for you. You should have to make your own super original sign.

I lurve that your two idizz for themes somewhat contradict each other.

sorta like "modest" and "2 piece"

You haven't picked one yet? AAAHHH! Seriously, I already have mine done up in glitter on damask/polka dot paper trimmed with vintage lace hanging on the bathroom mirror.

Holy crap I learn so much from you! Geez I need to get on thinking about a theme! ;) haha love your blog keep it up sister!

A Certain Englishman's Wife said...

Just make sure you don't combine the two and make it "Minimize Glam." That would be Ruth's theme. My theme is "Voicemail" I'm hoping to actually check it this year ... at least once.

Heidi said...

I think my theme should be "action". As in "getting some".

I like "glaminimize" for you. Lots and lots.

Natalie said...

inspirate, cause you are such an inspiration to all of us!!

How about "Stop! Listen (to me!)" or your own classic "validate me"

Your new header makes me laugh.

Little Lovables said...

"super deep"

that's your theme, you already said it too and it can mean sooo many things.

Frau said...

Wow, those are pretty deep themes. When you said, "theme" I was thinking Winnie The Pooh or Unicorns. Speaking of which, you should start picking the theme for your next baby. That way you can have your registry picked out way in advance and either you're on top of things or very tragic if the infertilities continue.

I would recommend, "Minimize" because there are so many cute minimalist you can buy at Pottery Barn right now.

Real Simple magazine gives you lots of good ideas of what you need to buy every month.

I vote for "Glaminimize" all the way.

Kady Day Lieber said...

I like "on the block". Then you can say stuff like "I have the cutest kids on the block" or "the cutest blog on the block" or " my house is the best house on the block"
think of all you could do with the theme "on the block"

Jules AF said...

Minimalize, except for your shopping habit and faux chesticles.

Do you get to buy a whole new wardrobe to match your theme??? Yay!

To second Kady Day -- because in your happy world "on the block" also means "in the stake" only it sounds way humbler.

Mine is 2010-Bring in the Men!

Face

Face your challenges and more importantly, keep your face pretty.

Eva said...

No, how bout "Simplify" since there are not enough souped up blogs about being Simple by making your own soap and only buying one TV and decorating there bedrooms to match the seasons. I think what they mean is "Simply...." as in Crazy or Complicated or Naive but in your case it would be ....Glam!

Although your Minimize (but surely you're the perfect size tho already, yea?) comes pretty cloes.

Authenticity!

Bare.

Because think about it, Bare has the feel of "minimize" and teddy pears with the bonus associations of bare your testimony, bare minerals makeup, and it subtitley makes people think of you NE-KID!

This made me laugh out loud. Awesome.

GladysIcanbe! said...

Well, you're always telling us to "validate me" so how about "glamidate"

Carrot Jello said...

How about you put minimize and glam together, and make it mini mam?
Oh wait.
That's a pacifier.
Nevermind.
How about anthropoliglaminize!
You could walk around anthropoliglaminizing people!
With like a wand or something.

I love 'minimize' . Esp when in the largest font possible.

Love your 2 idizz. You are right about themes :-) Thank you so much for being a great example of a glamourously righteous babehood :-) Your light not only shines, it glitters!

Carina said...

Shaylynn made me howl. Thanks, "Blissfully Aware"!

Summer said...

OM! (We don't use the G at our house, even for "gosh." It really is just a substitute for the real G word.) I have a theme, too! This year it's "Choose the Righteous." We realized that we might not be hanging around people with our high of standards, so we decided to do a couple of tests. The first will be to invite all our friends to a Superbowl party on Superbowl Sunday. Anyone who comes will fail the first test and be put on our "Do not call" list. Anyone who fails the second test will go on our "Do not hang out with even when they call us" list. The second test flunkies will be people who laugh at the beer commercials.

How about minimize and richus? Can't wait to see those side by side in vinyl!

Goob said...

I think the best theme ever would be "Prostate"

Christina said...

I think that your new theme should connect the old and the new since you are so chic that way so how about vintyglitz? That's vintage + glitter, a word I am sure doesn't even exsist! (oh and p.s. you put an e on the end of elts, whoopsies) *hugs*

Sarah said...

TAMN, I'm so embarrassed for you cuz you haven't even blogged once about the crazy stuff happening on the bachelor!
*Frownsmile* :/

Sabrena Suite-Mangum said...

Two years ago mine was 'Procreate in 2008' ...and when I was single it was 'fornicate by 28' (which worked out sort of because I FINALLY got married.)

Has someone already suggested 'perfection' ... maybe that's too obvious?

Katie said...

LOVE "GLAMINIZE" that someone up top came up with. So all year you could minimize and then glam, you know, make more room for glamorous in your life? It's kind of perfect.

Anonymous said...

Um, wasn't minimize your theme last year? Because repeating themes is really, really lame.

Melinda said...

Summer's comment has me laughing my head off. Eliminate your friends if they come to your party!

Andrea - said...

def elimination communication. luv luv LUV the riming. what can top that?

L.J. said...

Well Tamn, you don't need any glam in your life--I mean, you're tamn!, and you're blog followers would be way sad if you simplified, cause that would mean you might go back to 2 column blogging, and hi, you CAN'T do that...plus, if you want to make wooden painted letters to put above your special space with your journal and all so you can remember your word, minimize would be really hard to fit on the wall...so, how about:
breathe (you need to more, plus I heard lindsey lohan has that tatooed on her wrist, and how urban and progressive is she!?)
Design: design everything in your life...NOW...which is another good one...Now. Say it with your eyes closed...now. Awesome, right?

I heart validating you!

Afton said...

I don't think "Good, Better, Best" has been used enough. I'd say go with that one. It's so true.

JAMAL said...

My sister's is "start slow and taper off." But that will never work for YOU, Tamn. Last year hers was ew, something like "They're may be no I in team, but Failure has both an I and a U." Like, whatever. Who even gets a theme that long? Like ya say-- minimize to sound deep! What about richeousy word Perfectify on vinyl letters that overlap that super fab suggestion from above: Euphoria. Unattainable!
