hApPy sT pAtRicKs dAy!

Hi guys! So I saw on your blog how you were super cute and made your fam some darling green fancy breakfast today and a crazy cute lunch activity w/ a british theme with leprochauns and that, of which I LOVED, don't take this the wrong way but just so you know it's just that I'm way more into holiday's then you and also a tad more creative so not only was mine healthier and more delish but it was also more unique and all the themed food involved like nine more steps which kind of implies I love my family more then you love your's! :)

I should probably post a tutorial!

Those British Leprochauns would be proud.

Were you able to shoot a rainbow out of your eyes too, for the actual gold coin hunt for the kids?

Eh . . . I don't know. The last couple of posts seem more sarcastic than satirical, to tell the truth. It's more mean-spirited than funny. Bring back stuff like the lengthy descriptions of TAMN's all-green lunches that she made for JJWD!

Pefect! Since when did adding green food coloring to pancake batter become something to announce? I've seen so many breakfast descriptions on blogs/facebook today.

ThE ALteRnATe CaPitALizATioN in some of these blogs is starting to give me a headache.

Ok heathen, St. Patrick was a Catholic not a LATTER DAY SAINT. The ShAmRoCk represents the trinity. So I think less of you for honoring this. Besides, I seriously doubt you have Irish ancestry, don't you trace your ancestry back to Charlemagne?

I took today to focus on TRUE doctrines and the ONLY Godly people throughout all history, the pioneers.

TAMN it is about freaking time you posted a tutorial! Get on it, would ya?

Dang girl..there you go showing us up again. I was gonna ask if "lucky Charms" counted? Please post that tutorial! =)

Sarcastic = equally as hilarious as satirical. Both are beneficial for those who take themselves too seriously.

Jane of Seagull Fountain said...

I'm with Brooke -- more satire please. Like back when it was harder to tell if you were "real" or not.

Yes, a tutorial would be nice since I pretty much suck and need advise because I never make holiday themed food for them nor prepare many activities related to said holidays. My kids are probably going to end up in jail someday.

Love that your post, except for the musing about posting a tutorial (sooo sick of tutorials, btw) is one long run-on sentence.

Definately post a tutorial, TAMN. Because, there's no one who does holiday more cuter than you. Your the best !! Love you, XOXO

I can't believe I forgot St. Pat's Day! I should just crawl under a rock. We didn't even have corned beef and cabbage for dinner (of which we all hate), so I am a looser for sure. Forgive me Irish universe.

Brianna Warnick said...

well i'm literally Irish, and literally a leprochaun. i think i win.

We didn't celebrate because, well, Saint Patty, as Mhana pointed out, was a heathen Catholic AND where I come from the day is all about DRINKING. And I'm NOT talking about Diet Coke. We're trying to CTR over here.

I'm just sayin'...

Nothing literally screams unique like green food on St. Patty's Day!

The best is if you have a baby girl on March 17 at the AF hospital, the tiny bow that the nurses will stick on her head with KY will be a green one. But people will still not be able to resist pinching her. I can't remember whether they fed me corned beef for dinner. But I do remember feeling like I got the treasure at the end of the rainbow. (Also, I will never again forget to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, even if The Internet would let me.)

Also, see this, especially paragraphs 3 and 4:

I won't say you used to be funnier, because I have always taken this blog very seriously.

I made chocolate cupcakes with Guinness to take to the ladies I visit teach. I thought it would be good for everyone in the neighborhood.

Do I have to repent for tasting the batter before I 'baked out' the alcohol?

I didn't post a tutorial.

But I know have 5 beers in my fridge from the 6 pack I may wash my hair with.

Hi TAMN. I hope this question hasn't already been answered and I missed it. What is written on your cover girl's left leg (the one on your banner with the to-die-for gray shoes)?

I agree while the sarcasm is very funny I sort of miss the really long drawn out posts about how you were showing yur richeous example to the world and having us n.a.f.b. (not as fabulous besties) share. And btw folks callng the Catholics heathens isn't cool, it's buying into the same stereotypes that make it ok for everyone else to make hurtful assumptions about us

You left out how organic and local and cage free and sparkley your recipes were...be sure to put that in the tutorial.

What i want to know is how did a hot chica with such long spidery eyelashes like you get to be so crafty in the first place? Wouldn't you rather shop than craft or cook?

Lynette said...

Where's the tute?!? Come on now! Show us what you did so we can copy you and post how we followed it too!

Laura said...

I'm also with Brooke: these last two posts have seemed more bitter than funny. Sorry to say it. I'm all for bringing back the less caustic commentary. Take luck!

Elizabeth Downie said...

I'm sure you did your best and all and what you did was pretty good... But I dressed as the cutest leprechaun ever with green fishnet tights. Also, I only ate green food all day, like celery sticks, peas, and lettuce. And nothing more. Then I went around and heart attacked everyone I know with green and gold hearts landing in a pot of gold filled with candy (I like to make my friends fatter so I can look better by comparison). But don't be too jealous. I'm sure what you did was good enough.

Kat: The cover girl's leg says ANTHRO....of course because why would TAMN shop anywhere else?

Totally agree with Brooke, a little less sarcasm and a little more perky please :)

Wow, and I thought I was being a good mom by taking my kids through the McD's drive thru for a shamrock shake. The ladies from the presidency this morning were all talking about their breakfasts with golden rollos and green andes mints. I totally need the tutorial.

MamaBear said...

we had corned beef and smashed potatoes. way better than CB&C, esp. if you have a gassy hubs.

i'll post a tutorial later. something like: buy the PRECOOKED stuff so when you forget to crock-pot it all day, you can newk it at dinnertime and it's still good!

and even if you ARE descended from Charlemagne (as I am), you can be Irish, too. glad to know we're cuzzins, TAMN! m-wah!

Lisa Marie said...

Kat Green - I believe it says "ANTHRO".

This blog has become seriously so boring....

It's almost as if someone else is writing. When this blog started it was funny, relevant, and refreshing.

Now it is just BORING!!! Bring back the old TAMN. This site lacks the whit, spark and charm it used to have. Maybe it is time to hand up your keyboard.

Oh Kat, you must not read this blog often enough. Anthro!

Ha ha! I think this is hilarious!!! What are people talking about boring and bitter? Tamn, you are just getting more and more ripe with wit.

You are hitting every nail on the head.

Oh, and if you do post a tutorial, remember, thousands of pictures are involved.
