humbleness

Even though I got tan and had fun and got some MUCH NEEDED relax time, it was still so hard of a trail for me on our cruise a couple months ago to be away from Alivyiah and Tridger, soooo I really wanted to share what a growing experience it was for me and all the depth I got and I didn't get to publically do so last month which was a ginormous bummer and made me worry no one would even know we went. So THIS fast Sunday I wanted to get up so bad and low and behold I finally got to, and plus ended up with the cutest mix of ponder and pout.

Except how much can one person be expected to take??

In trying to get my turn I had a whole nother trial! I had to wait for all the actual widows to shut the heck up so I could finally share about life as a law/biz/med/dental school widow.

Old ladies are so self centered on themselves. My trials are way more relevant since there NOW.

No one knows how hard I have it.

I know, it's such a yawner to hear about actual testimonies and trials of lamers.

Jazz it up with life stories and especially if they talk longer than 15 minutes and tell random stories and way judgmental experiences, that is way more awesome.

A friend just told me about your amazing blog! Love it!

You need to be super grateful that you have the first Sunday of each month to let everyone in your ward know how hard you have it- and yet you NEVER complain.

I know the other gals in the ward were mad at you for edging out that old lady who was shuffling to the pulpit, but I totally understand. I mean, when you feel the spirit of travelmony, you just have to get it out, ya know? Your ponderous pout was perfect...what lip gloss do you wear?

i think you defnately NEED to share pubically next month your trails of infertility last week to show how it makes you so spiritchal. share in RS especially!

Ponder and pout! I am dying.

Honestly, I rilly think that was selfish of those lady's. I mean, the'll be widows for ever (fer serious, who gets married after 24! LOL!) and so will have many, many years to bare testimony of how much they miss there sweethearts and all. But YOUR in your third year of law/business/medical/dental school -- if law is the correct option you have only MONTHS to milk this! You poor dear! Then once you pay off your loans/get approved for another credit card you can be filthy rich and ostentatious. You'll be able to bare testimony of how being rich is actually a hard hard trial of humbleness, and how you have a testimony of [your husbands] continuing education because your obedience made you wealthy, but it just won't be the same.

Next time act fake frail and demand that the microphone be brought to you in the congregation.

"Low and behold" reminds me of what my seminary teacher told the girls when it neared prom time.

"Girls, just don't wear Bible dresses."

"Bible dresses?" We thought he might have lost his marbles.

"Yes, Bible dresses." He paused for dramatic effect. "You know, 'lo and behold'."

But who am I talking to? I'm sure you know all about Bible dresses. Especially when you were on your cruise. ;)

Oh yeah, and being a hypothetical widow is so much harder than a literal widow, because you never know exactly when you will see your sweetiebunz. The literal widows know that they'll see theirs as soon as they die. You have it way harder.

Please tell me you called yourself a law/biz/med/dental school widow during your testimony!!!

Those self-centered, boring widows!

Gotta admit, I was hoping for a post on feminism today.

You are such a martyr for listening to those actual widows-- now, that is truely a example of service. Nevertheless and irregardless, its important that you had your'e chance to speak and explain how a cruise is such a spirichal experience and you have become such a deeper person after a week in Cabo/ Puerto Vallarta on the Sun Princess. Bare up, my dear, and endure to the end. Love you, XOXO

I really saw "self absorbed about herself" on a blog.

Dead on.

ACTUAL widows, not law/med/biz/dental school widows?

LOL!

I hate the misuse of the term "widow" so bad.

I love that you blogged about how your bore your testimony this month, so that all of us who aren't rich and cool enough to be in your ward can know that you are totally righteous. I was beginning to question your commitment to the gospel.

Hugs sweetie. I know exactly how you feel.

We have the worst testimony meetings where I live. They used to be so perky and uplifting and now it's just blah, blah, blah, bummer, bummer, I lost my job, My husband has cancer, blah blah. Hello? Do they not realize that the middle of a bad economy when your health care is at risk is the WORST time to get cancer? If some people aren't going to pray and fast and do what it takes to stay healthy, they deserve what they get!

They ought to be thankful that they have all that down time to have fun instead of having to go to work. Sheesh. If my Honeystickybuns loses his job you can bet I'll look on the bright side and have more grace than they do.

It's like no one is interested in my trials anymore. They don't realize how awful things were until my daddy gave me a check to make them go away. I'll bet they don't have trials like mine.

I thought it was way cute that Tridger accidently on purpose started crawling into the aisle to trip the old widow with the walker! hilarious!!! sorry if my cute giggle in anyway took away from the spirit of your testimony bareing.

I sure hope you wore your lava-lava skirt thing with a ginorm flower over your ear. Then people will think you went to Hawaii even if you only went to Pal. If not, there's always next month.

When you bore your testimony Sunday were you wearing your pre-oscar ensemble? When my kids were in high school the kids wore their prom dresses to church the next day. Some thought the priests looked so handsome blessing the sacrament in their formal tuxes. Until some unpopular kids didn't have dates to prom and refused to go to church the morning after cuz they wouldn't be all dressed up and everybuddy would know they hadn't got a date the night afore. When that happened to the stake president's DD he issued an edict -- no more prom clothes in church. So I was just wondering if your bishop has admonished the sisters not to wear their modest academy awards gowns to church.

I totally (well, actually just partially) had a dream last night about being on a cruise, which was all the more unexpected since I never have actually been on a cruise in real life for reals (pout, sniff, whine, gnash teeth). My dream had lots of bizarre, meaningless fantastical details. Thanks for giving me the idea to bare my testimony about it next month!

Oh, Tamn! Even the comments you get are great reads!

Something one of your readers said made me realize something. Your twins are almost one year old and THEY AREN'T EVEN WALKING YET??! Dude, Tamny, I gotta tell ya, my kids both walked well before they were 12 months old, and this baby that I nannied walked at 9 months. I can't believe I'm more righteous than you are. I mean, I used to look up to you. But now...
And honestly, even if they ARE walking already and you simply forgot to blog about it, shame on you!
They used to be the perfectist little babies. What happened??
either you or JJWT needs to repent about something, because, clearly, if your kids aren't hitting milestones way-before-average, there is OBVIOUSLY something wrong with the parent(s).
Now there is some time before they turn 1, but I'm just shocked and outstanded that they haven't learnt already.

But if they're not walking by their birthday... I don't think I can ever look this blog in the face again.

I'll pray for you.

I'm really grateful I've never been in a regular Utah ward.
I think I'd stab my eyes out.

I just found your blog, and now I'm gonna write you hate mail since you're forcing me to spend LOADS of time reading all the posts, not to mention the comments. I mean, how am I gonna have time to sit on the couch, get fat, and watch TV today?
