it's not "bratty" per say, it's exerting independence

Wasn't playgroup yesterday the funnest?

My twins are honestly super social wonder where they get it from, lol! Just hysterical how they kept taking stuff from your's, so funny about all Tridger's hitting {you know how it is, he's all boy!} and super sweet how Alivyiah kept bonking your kids with the giant spears of fake flower poking out of the material strapped to her head!

At least thats what some of the other mom's told me happened, I didn't actually see bc I was busy shrieking out about how VIENNA IS SOOOO NOT MARRIAGE MATERIAL JAKE!!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY?

Ugh.

Weren't Alivyiah's & Tridger's squeakie shoes adorable?

The only reason your Tridger hit my kid was because my kid was secretly teasing your kid and no one saw- because Tridger would NEVER hit for no reason. In fact- it does not even matter that Tridger came right up to my kid the moment he got to the play group and gave him a big slug. My kid totally provoked him some how. At least that is what I was told

Oh TAMN, I was livid too. But don't worry. It's not like the bachelors actually get married or anything.

Though you can't expect Jake to choose wisely. By being over 26 and single, he as already chosen th bad path. You could see it because he was in love with Gillian and she is too old for a righteous man to consider.

Yeah, that was a rocking fough hawk, the Tridgster.

love it when Moms 'never see' their kids smacking another kid, and if confronted, have a ready excuse .. 'he's all boy!' mrk.

Umm, who's Jake again?

Nothing is more precious than hearing every step those darlings make. Especially when they wear them to sacrament meeting...
And that poor jake is going to regret his decision for sure. He's just in heat right now so can't think straight.

Aaahh! The squeaky shoes!

I work at an early childhood center and will pull my hair out if one more child shows up with those infernal things strapped on their feet.

Under normal circumstances, I really don't like those squeakie shoes, but now I see how darling they really are when your cute little babes wear them. It's like the music of angels...I so wish my kids could be in a playgroup with your twins. Oh, well...

Ok this one made me laugh because I've been in such a play group where there's the alpha male tot punching the other boys except the mom was watching and would just say in a very mild nasily voice, now don't do that honey bunny...It's the only time i've wanted to dump my jello salad on anyone...

I love how those shoes REFUSE to stop squeaking. IT NEVER GETS OLD!

Can't wait to see the amazing contributions these little darlings will make to the world! I mean, I mean, someone's got to mindlessly consume to keep the wheel of commerce spinning...

Whoa Frau. Work on your faith in the process already!! HELLO, Mesnick wedding NEXT WEEK?! Yeah, think your criticism over real careful-like. What I love most about The Process is that it teaches people They Can Fall In Love -- so obviously The Process works.

I think what fills my heart with warm gladness is how Jake kept insistig how torn he was, including taking BOTH engagement rings. And having a passionate Tenley makeout the day before he proposed to another girl. Its just nice for Vienna to know in her heart that Jake loves her with ALL that he is and that he has always and will always be faithful. To my knowledge my hubberlover was not waffling about whether he should propose to me or another girl the morning of that blessed event and I wonder if I've missed out because of that.

Oh and TAMNers, you son could not possibly be an unpleasant bully in the making -- he has blonde hair and blue eyes and is photogenic, right? No cause to worry. Bullies are ugly and have greasy hair.

Squeaky shoes were made by the devil to keep track of his monsters. You need to ditch them right now before he influences Tridg to behave badly in play group... oh, wait....

When my sweet adorable innocent daughter was bit in the nursery at church (totally unprovoked attack, mind you!) my husband "politely" told the momma of the biter that she wouldn't need the dentist to take tooth impresssions -- we had a full set imbedded in our daughter's arm.

I'm sure Tridger has never taken his fire house out of his diaper and put out a fire in the corner of the nursery either. Or gone around saying "dabbit, dabbit."

So true to life -- never "seeing" our kids being naughty! What are squeaky shoes?

Madame Palmkey said...

Oh, and I love how he exerts his independence. Not asserts, no, he wields his independence like the weapon God intended freedom to be.

OHHHHHH!!! You DID NOT just bring up the squeeky shoes.......They are the most insufferable things on the planet. But I'm sure on your little darlings they are simply ADORABLE!

Debbie oh my gosh literally LOLing @ Squeaky shoes were made by the devil to keep track of his monsters.

The kids in nursery that like to bite, hit, and choke my child are my favorites...especially when their parents find out and laugh it off because "they're only 2!". I'm pretty sure my child doesn't push or hit and he's only 2...maybe I should stop telling him it's not nice so he can start being more manly! I have to say, I was never more proud of another parent when I heard them tell my son he could push their child back if he got pushed. Thanks for teaching my child such awesome habits! I really don't have strong feelings on this subject at all...I swear.

I almost ordered some of those shoes for my girls online before noticing the squeak feature. And I saw a pair in a shop recently that totally tempted me (SO freaking CUTE squeee!) until I thought about how I would feel if I squeaked at every steps.

But I also tend not to wear perfume these days since I'm bothered by fragrances, so take my opinion as a grain of salt.

...and they will later assert their independence in Primary by screaming and yelling and running around during Sharing Time. Their teachers will not say a word to them or you, don't worry! They're just big spirits in little bodies!

Then there's the mother of the toddler biter who bites her kid back to show her that it's not a good idea?!!! Her kids grew into delightful (psychotic) teenagers.

do people actually buy squeaky shoes for their children to wear for no reason??? i work at a children's rehab center and we have kiddos who have gait problems or who are toe walkers wear squeaky shoes to help with their therapy, but i can't imagine just buying them. by the time a kid wearing those leaves after a one hour session i am about to lose it.
