stream {of }conscience

Hi guys!! Sorry I haven't blogged in forever!!!

So I need to vent and say ugh March Madness and I have such a love hate dillemma! Most of the time I daintily prance-strut along this teensy slash precarrious wife-line btwn being super supportive and super needy but no biggie if I scoot past the line to whinny on accident bc I pout cutely.

Sooooo this time of year is hard bc boy stuff like games and brackets and righteous bets bug when they take hubby away from ME but also give me a chance to use the old proverb that no matter what it is, if you call it a
"project" it's suddenly awesome, so neat that March Madness gives me MUCH NEEDED time to get to all my projects, soooo greatful that CuteBubbyNub supports my hobbies which I prefer we call passions...which reminds me maybe no more calling him CuteBubbyNub or AngelBabe, probably something tougher like BuffBoss or He-Man the Hot bc honestly I {heart} manly blog nicknames for husbands bc they definately highlight
me helpless beautiful vintage cutiefluff, he big strong smartie!!

If you get any more highlights or any more highlighted you are in danger of burning to a crispy wisp of former cuteness.

That's MY favorite proverb, too!

The hobbies v. passions thing is really true...no one just LIKES or ENJOYS sewing/singing/crafting anymore...it's their PASSION! Love it.

I will insist my husband start calling me Brainfuzz Limplanguid. My darling Grunt von Manslab doesn't rilly follow march madness because he works all the time. Seriously, with Sideiron Mcbrawnbody doing TaXeS all the TiMe I am a TAX WINDOW and all I do is project, project, project too! Gahh! Maybe we should get together and passive-aggressive about who's projects are CuTeR! Only we'd better make it at your house becuase my McMansion isn't kid friendly. Until the heavens see fit to override the birthcontrol I take daily we'll keep buying china doohickeys, marble end tables and bascially do our house in such a way we don't ever have to invite people with kids over. so let's visit at your playpen/home!

This is the reason I read "helpless beautiful vintage cutiefluff, he big strong smartie" Makes me wish for more of my own fluff and a smarty, instead of spinsty life.

FOr rill, en4cing antiquated and stifling genner stereo-types is way cute.

"Prance-strut"? I can see it in my mind, and you look superdarling!

I hate March Madness. I mean, hello? HE chose to be married. Everyone knows that once you get married the time for YOU is over and it's time to be selfless and giving towards ME.

He needs to drop friends, especially opposite-sex. (Because I know you can trust your spouse and and I'm not judging but they're totally porking each other.) He needs a passion yeah, but that's what I'm here for. I mean, does Edward have any hobbies? Does he follow any teams? Does he even have a job? No. If he wants to follow the righteous example in the scriptures, he needs to be like Edward.

Why am I even reading this when I have such manly things to do?????

I just snorted ( a very little cute one) when I read "He-Man the Hot"

AMAZING.

Ooo, that last sentence was awesome.

Just as long as you call him "Mr. --something--", then any nickname will do.

Who do you think you are? You call yourself a MORMON!?
HA!
You represent everything members of the LDS church should strive NOT to be!
You are so full of yourself and think you're better than everybody else. What makes you think your St. Patrick's Day was any better than mine? You don't even know what I did for St. Patrick's Day (went to Ireland)! I just don't understand the popularity of your blog; are there really more LDS women out there like you? I hope not! You give the church a bad name, and we already look bad enough, what with the prop 8 situation, the polygamy past, and the Osmonds, you just make it even WORSE!

Guy brackets are lame. Girl [Brackets] are WAY cuter.

"If he wants to follow the righteous example in the scriptures, he needs to be like Edward"

Hahahaha. SO true. I hope, when I get married, my husband will have been righteous enough to be undead for over 100 years so he could save up enough money to never have to work again. (Plus have been practicing piano for 100 years.)

I know this blog is satirical but it pains me to think some people are actually like this. CuteBubbyNub!? LOL!

Token Asian Friend, I can always get a lol from you.

I love March Madness. I can shop for project stuff to do while he's watching the game, then have this big pile of project stuff for the rest of the year, so when lover man needs me to do something for him, I can just point to my pile-o-stuff and pout cutely and say " I barely have any time now. I NEVER get do stuff for me. Can you do without my help?" {I never actually do the projects. That's a little bit lame. I have stuff from 1982 in that pile}. Then I don't have to do honey nugget's stuff for him. Win-win for me.

Sorry Tamny, I just keep reading all these comments about people missing the "old you" and thought maybe you miss all those old mean comments you used to get.
Ya know i loves yas!

Awww Mary, you spoiled it! I was all excited that someone was offended again! That's the best part of this blog!
"OK I used to think you were funny but this one really crossed the line for me..."

"Grunt von Manslab" from Mhana ranks as best hubby nickname EVER! Sorry you got upstaged on your own blog, TAMN. You can pout cutely about it, I'm sure.

Mhana, best comment ever.

The image of you daintily prance-strutting to whinny is so adorably equestrian. You're like a darling, pastel colored My Little Pony, but a horse is such a noble animal too.

Cyndi Watkins said...

TAMN, you & me are def. on the same pg. I was mediating on the scriptures the other day (because I'm probly holier than you, even tho its hard to tell because of my syncere humbelness). Anyway, I was searching the holy Word to find something to support my lifestile and I came across that same proverb!

Of corse I came up with the proverbe first, I just didn't blog about it because of the aforemenshioned humbelness. Love you! (Let me know if you need any spirital gidence.)

"me helpless beautiful vintage cutiefluff, he big strong smartie!!"

Absolutely true, but if you point out these gender stereotypes, well-meaning people will reply, "But men and women are very different from each other. Blue brain/Pink brain"....... The stereotypes die very hard, and sometimes the only thing you can do is to laugh at them. Otherwise, it's too easy to cry.....

Forgot to add:

"me helpless beautiful vintage cutiefluff, he big strong smartie!!"

Ever read "Fascinating Womanhood" by LDS author Helen Andelin? Basically, what you wrote above, is the entire theme of the book. Seriously. XOXO, love you.

Brooke said...

dharvey -- Why, oh why, has that book seemed to pop up everywhere in my life lately?? "Fascinating Girl" is equally as amazing (and by amazing I mean appalling), in case you wondered. I'm trying to convince some ladies I love to read "Fascinating Womanhood" and "Enlightened Sexism" simultaneously just to see if the world explodes.

Whatever, TAMN, you got cutiefluff from me!

Because I hear Miley everytime I come to this blog I've gotten more and more annoyed with her until last night I had a dream that she married my dad and was trying overly hard to get on my good side and win my approval. Never Miley, NEVER!
