Guys, people keep asking me about this and I'm starting to toldly stress about it. Just wondering: if I don't RSVP to conference on facebook but watch it anyway, does it still count?

OMGosh, I was wondering the SAME EXACT THING.

The most important thing is to make sure you let everyone know you "like" conference. Also, form/join groups with manipulative titles like "I love righteousness" or "I love prayer" and then when people don't join they're basically saying they hate the Gospel and if they don't "like" it then they're basically apostate. Invite all of your friends to join and see what side of the fence THEY'RE sitting on in these the last days of the final dispensation of the fulness of time.

No.

Why on earth would you not RSVP?

I'm thinking, can I just RSVP on facebook and maybe not get around to watching it and have that count?

TAMN ur missing the best part of RSVPing on Facebook- missionary work without the effort!!! Now when the missionaries ask me if I invited any of my non member friends to conference I can say "YES" and all it took was the click of a button, didn't have to have an awkward phone convo or anything!

By "watch it" do you mean the whole thing or just the Sunday morning session? I've heard that if you're totally righteous that's all you need.

P.S. - Be sure to post about your tent facing the TV, GC bingo, and {aWeSoMe} cinnamon rolls!!! How else will non-Facebookers know if you're righteous or not???

Charity said...

@Sarah- I didn't know cinnamon rolls was a Conference trend....

Now I may have to change my plans and make something different.

TAMN, I love you.

How else will we know if you're being righteous or not?!

Wait. You mean you and JJWT don't have tickets? How are you EVER going to get your picture in the Ensign??!?

Jen said...

You're joking right?? I mean c'mon TAMN you HAVE to rsvp to conference. Don't you know they won't broadcast it to your 115 inch high def tv if you don't??

Well, you no that everything is recorded in heaven, and what if the angles want to save themselves some time and just use FB {since it's such a relyable source} for there records. You better RSVP just to be on the safe side.

I actually heard that the church auditing department bases its worldwide membership on the total number of people that RSVP for GC on FB. So to answer your question, no, it doesn't count if you don't "RSVP" via FB.

sunni said...

as a matter of principle, i was NOT going to RSVP. but...if i can count it for missionary work, it might be worth a click!

Mom D said...

No it won't count. If you watch it at home in your modest, but sexy pj's only the angles will know. If you RVSP on fb than all 1683 of your closest freinds will know how riotous you rilly are.

You can get away with it as long as you post your favorite quote as soon as it comes out of your favorite GAs mouth.

Don't you remember the scripture that goes something like the Lord only blesses those who make sure all of their good works are publicized?

You *HAVE* to RSVP so the world can see your righteousness. Otherwise, HOW WILL THEY KNOW YOU EVEN HAVE A TESTIMONY???!!!

I didn't "Like" the 'Jesus' group. I can't stand looking like a poser. Besides, He didn't invite me to be on his friend list. I don't wanna be pushy!

OHH TAMNs I have totally had this same thought! I just accepted the incite on FB because I didn't want anyone to think less of me! I totally suggest you do the same thing!! Thats my two cents.

This made me laugh out loud (and I needed a laugh today!) Who knew something so simple as the FB conference RSVP could be SO HI-LAR-IOUS.

Leave it to TAMNers to realize the humor in such an otherwise normal LDS event.

I'm pretty sure nothing counts until you like it. Would it matter what cupcake you ate if you didn't like it on Facebook? I didn't think so.

I guess that depends on whether or not you want to be Young Women's President. I mean, you've got to let your light shine and all that shizz.

Hay TAMN, I forgot to tell you that I just lurve the flash cards you made of the quruoms of the Seventy for the twinners to memorize. It was so fun to sit behind you at church and listen to there cute little voices saying all those foreign names. They was just A-DORA-BLE. You should toldly sell them on your etsy shop so other hot, riotous moms can have way more spirtual kids than other mom in there ward who only know the names of the Twelfth Apostle. I hope you enjoy confernce. Could you please share your recipe for eggs benefit with holiday sauce? I wanna try making it this weekend. Thanks.

Like. And If I don't post if I give service daily, does that mean I'm not getting my service points in heaven?

The comments to this post are the best ever!

I RSVP'd "no." But I only did it to fool Satan. If I'd said "yes" then he would have worked overtime to tempt me away from watching Conference (like how he always bugs you on the day you plan to go to the temple so you can't go because the kids dumped flour all over the floor and your husband got stuck in traffic and other Satanic things like that). But this way I FOOLED HIM!! Now I can watch Conference in peace.

How come no one invited me? Is it okay to RVSP without being invited first?

LOL ! These comments made me laugh so hard that I spit out my Diet Coke. ( I'm going off it next week). Seriously, so toldly hilarious. :-) Love you, XOXO

TAMN, what good is doing something good if others don't see it?

Elizabeth Downie said...

The funny thing is that I actually felt pressure to RSVP on Facebook when I got the invite. Like if I didn't rsvp I wasn't righteous or something! :)

Tiffany said...

I didn't even GET invited. OMGeesh! I'm so offended. Will I have to leave the church?

I just checked that I liked someone else's post quoting Pres Monson. That way I'm not all in-your-face Mormon. Plus the angels count that too.
