tuff call

Getting super exited! And also super scarred! 15 weeks preggo! This means I'm starving and seriously savaging for food all the time, but more importantly which means it's almost time to find out...trucks or tiaras, guns or aprons!!!!!!!!!!! Literally can't wait for the DTD so totally want to do that thing where you pee in magic water and the color changes and tells you, know what I mean??

Execpt, am scarred to do it and feeling like the worst mom ever. Haven't properly decided for sure if I want a boy or a girl, keep changing my mind so I'm worried sending the universe mixed messages will bring us one of those he-she babies.

:(

That actually might be pretty cool. You would be able to try out one of those gender neutral names like Taylor or Kelly. However, I don't think those names are very unique. You might have to change the spelling to Teighlor or Kehley.

Best line evah!

"one of those he-she babies."

Are you saying you believe in "The Secret"? I don't think your mind will determine the sex of the baby. but just in case, stop thinking about it or eltse you might end up with an octopus!

But who nose, you just mite end up with another set of twiners!!

Has another set of twins aready been ruled out? Cos you are totally cut out to be the mom to two sets!

TAMNers, did you ever take a pregnancy test? I mean I know you divinely know or whatever, but you haven't posted pictures of your peed on sticks so I've been wondering how official all this is!

I think those types of babies are called "shims." But don't worry-I'm pretty sure you and JJWTs worthy seed are going to be for sure girl or boy...

I hope you don't have the same problems you did last time you had to go to the DTD. Maybe by now the mean witch who worked at the desk as hear Donald Trump's catch phrase.

haha! Guns or aprons! Tamn you shouldn't worry about being the worst mom ever, you are the BEST because you know gender roles start way before birth!

Wow, TAMN really went there.

HA! he-she babies. That is funny.

LOL. Those things you pee in and the color tells you the gender? Those are real, and hilarious. I saw an ad for one and wondered if TAMN was into it.

Deciding which one to wish for is hard since both have benefits. Remember when you wanted twin girls so people would think you were triplets? Though I fear for the world if you have more female spawn...

When your playlist started playing Justin Bieber my son asked "Who's that girl singing?". You'd better cross your mani'd fingers that the universe isn't listening. Apparently there are some 'he-she' messages being sent from your playlist.

Maya asks a very legitimate question...

Yes, being willing to accept and love a child of either gender makes you a HORRIBLE mother. How could you be a good mother without months of gender-specific planning??? Also, you're obviously a heathen since you send your messages to "the Universe" instead of a, ahem, higher power. {Frownsmile} Been reading a lot of insults online today and thought I'd try it out. Sorry TAMN, you know I love you!!!

Oh wait, I forgot to call you "cute!" I've heard that makes insulting people okay. You're so cute!!!

Well, when you do find out and start thinking about a gazillion names, be sure to consult the ultimate authority on names--The Utah Baby Namer! http://wesclark.com/ubn/

Last time you couldn't decide either and see what happened? I'd probably go for boy. I know girls are fun and it's vital that you have a bunch so you can keep your youth. But I think you've got to get the boys first. Because:

1) Having older sisters can totally sons go Derek.

2) I know this woman whose husband was so righteous (sound familiar?) that he was called home really young. And since they were trusting in God and don't have worldly plans for such a spiritual experience she has to live with her kids. So thank goodness she had lots of boys who are grown now because they can preside and ignore their wives when they say "no." But the daughters have to obey their husbands when they say "Hell no" So thank goodness it's the boys who are older and established.

3) If you try and reclaim your youth when you are still young it's kind of sad.

4) Boys have to have jobs and degrees and stuff. It's nice to have the girls when you can relax and have raised all the adults you need.

So think boy! Think two or three boys! Then you can get them out of the way and spend your golden years at the spa.

Frau, you are amazing.

And TAMN, I know it's probably bc I need to repent but most of your post went waaaay over my head. What's this Magic Water?? And it rilly sounds like your having a hard time with all the scarring and savaging going on. ! And seriously guns are gooo violent, better go for swords if it is a boy. You may even want to start planning on decorating and furnishing separate playrooms for the Ali And Trid and whatever this new one turns out to be (better hurry and pick!) so that the girl and the boy toys don't get mixed together. Can't have that now, can we??

Kerstin said...

Obviously it has to be a girl. Alivyiah needs to have a sister close in age because the sisterly bond is the best!

TAMN, I didnt even know about the magic water test. Youre blog is so informatonal to me - it's like youre a sience teacher. I am currious, if you peed in the magic water with the twinses, what would'ave happened? Thanks for educateing me!

Now you can smugly say "I don't care if I have a boy or a girl, as long as the baby is healthy"

as a mother of girls...have a boy. we need all the richus moms raising richus young men for our richus young women. I know that may seem like a lot of richus but my head hurts from trying to decide how to vote on your pole while listening to justin bieber. (hencefore, thats why i'm not using any uppercase capitals...headachey.)

It HAS to be a gril. Srsly. Because planning a wedding is the ultimate "Get out of everything free" card from like the minute an engagement is even pondered. So with Alivyiah and little sister, you'll have a whole three years off. Botta be a gril. Luv ya!

I know exactly how you feel! I worry about sending mixed messages and getting he-she babies too!

Ew, I hope you don't have a he-she baby. Then you;ll have to like name it Shiloh.
