school is making my heart a frowny!!!

Hey everybody! Thanx for making all of my best-birthday-ever wishes a realty!!! Even though it's Thankful Thursday and I'm way happy, I'm a little bummered out bc JJWT still has to go to school this week--EVEN though I'm double-preggo AND it's my bday week!!

Ew. Lame. Sad.

:(

Even though edge-cation has always been number #1 in my family, sometimes you just need to put family first like when I took a semester of hair school off to focus on my wedding...not to brag but that was my priority so I was willing to set my career a side. School is the worst! PUKE. And for my poor hub-babe and HIS school, it's all way hard, numbers and stats and anatomies and trademarx and NASTY stuff...no flat irons, no nothing! It's just like when I got my hair degree and the meanies tried to make me take "science" and "math" even though geez, makeup and highlights ARE science and honestly, shopping involves like a buttload of math. SO greatful my tearful tantrum got me outta that one! :) So, I'm teaching my young womens to stand up for themselves, turn on the tears and not learn useless numbers-crud bc hello if it's just for backup slash example to your kids, why the H should you have to take all the yawners?? Plus you seriously won't use it, I mean, I'm married and preggo and there's like a 90 percent chance I'll NEVER use stats.

they don't have flat irons in law/biz/med/dental school??!?! LAME.

TAMN. Did you just say "buttload"?? Not to be rude but it's like I don't even know you anymore.

Once more: whoever writes this is a freaking genius. You are so dead on. The tone/language is eerily authentic. I swear to you I have seen this exact post on more than a dozen real blogs. Kudos. Love you!!

sErIoUsLy!!! Like, my todally-perfect-slash-awesome-hubby does school STUFF like 80 percent of the time and there's like a 2 out of 3 chance that he'll pick stupid(slash adorable cause he's so smart and such an awesome priesthood holder to be taking care of me) studdy buddy time instead of froyo with ME! So, I just PRAY with my 100% righteousness that this yUcKy hw will actually PAY OFF. EduCATION = vaCATION :)

Oh, and seriously Tamn,I NEVER, EVER use math or stats. LAME.

Oh. My. Heck. You ttly cldnt be mr right! Stats, ew! Ttly hated that clss. Nvr use it brngng up rictchs kids n the kngdm!

TAMN, where were you when I was in school, like in the dark ages? I totally could have used this advice then.

There were girls in my really hard Math 99 classes that thought that if they were smart and knew statistics and things that would help them to snag a husband!!!! Can you believe it!!??! Obviously, they don't know men at all.

They should have used statistics to figure out what the chances would be of getting their own JJWT were if they stayed a brunette. Seriously.

I'm sure it sucks for him. I'm trying to get my associated at 28 and I can't figure out this stupid personal narrative. Thanks for giving me a distraction in life.

Luckily, my H is DONE! Unless he decides to further his edumacation. Blah. So only one of us in school for now. But it's enough that I get to whine about all the work load and he can't say, "I understand" because it's been a year and a half since he finished and, I mean, he HAS to have forgotten by now!

Oh... my life is so hard.

Stat.... that's the word the docs on ER use, right?
So sad that JJWT can't take the week off. I bet all his professors are just jellus cause their spouses are so LAME compaired to you!

Jules AF said...

You should've just told a little fib to get him out of his classes this week. Like maybe you HAD your baby. I mean, they wouldn't even notice it in 8ish months when he had to get out of classes again because you had a baby. You could come up with something creative then! Well, I guess your mom is going to be with you for 2 months straight anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

Hey, I am way older than you and I only use stats like 50% of the time so what's the point?

Elizabeth said...

My hubby is in stats right now. I can't wait til' we are at med/dental/business school.

Awe. Inspiring. I have just realized I have been wasting my time in Nursing School...and that all the Sisters in RS were right...it really is a sin to have been married for 7 years and not have kids yet.

Plus, I guess it's bad when my husband refers to my classmates as my "wives"...since I see them more than him.

I am gonna go "snuggle" right now so I solidify my spot in C-town.

That's why I was so SO way greatful for all my groups when my sweetie was in business school. without bunko group, play group, GNO, pedi group, book group, and all that stuff, I seriously don't even know what I would have done with myself. Cuz he was just doing homework, like, 24/7 every day!

But it was todally worth it, cuz now I can drive around in my big kick-A SUV with my awesome Anthro clothes and show all the poor girls who married TEACHERS and are stuck driving a minivan (blech) where their priorities should have been. I mean, it says right in the plan, he's supposed to be a PROVIDER, right? So stay strong, girl, and you will make it through.

In all seriousness, I wonder how much of the stuff you say is getting lost on people who are doing the things you make fun of.... have iPhones but are on food stamps, take a semester off to plan their weddings, etc.

All I'm saying is TAMN, what you say is seriously SO true.

I can personally vow-ch for the fact that education is worthless and a waste of time. I graduated with a degree in education, and the only reason they teach all that math and science junk is to get money from the government. It's a game so that us poor, pathetic teachers can pretend like we're teaching the kids, but really just have kick-A faculty meetings all the time, and pay for yard duty so we don't have to do it.

I guarantee that your little girls shouldn't even be wasting their time memorizing their multiplication facts... just teach them how to ask for 50% off when their mani gets cut shorter than they SPECIFICALLY asked for, and to only kiss every two out of three boys who lean in, and they'll snag their own JJWT!

I took stats once to meet guys.

What a waste of a semester.

But then I found out about exercise and sports science classes :)

Love the ending sentence. 100% priceless, lol!

TOADALLY agree, edge-cation is toadal waste of time. Except, I met my WAAY CUTE own JJWT when I was in college - but then I was only studying husband-hunting! (HW - bah!)

Little GrumpyAngel said...

Pay attention, Gurl: don't be bummed that JJWT is paying attention to his edge-cation. Once he's done with all that lame stuff then he'll make a boatload of money so you can get anything from Anthro any day. Hair School is fine but that's no becoming rich school so yah you can turn on the tears there to get out of learning the hard stuff. But not in schools where they teach how to actually be rich. Also BTW, you said a bad word (buttload) Eww-I feel sinful just typing that. Might want to repent and take a shower.

Valerie said...

90% chance you'll never use stats. Huh.

It's been awhile since I've checked the blog (I know, MAJOR SIN!) and now hello? You're preggo with twinners?! Are you going to pull a Brangelina and Britney and have a c-section or are you planning something more Katie Holmes style? Even though it's really none of my biz, I gotta know!

Shannon said...

Thanks TAMN - you've inspired me to start doing giveaways on my blog as well. I'm starting with small giveaways, but I think it will be fun!

Have fun blogging!

Degrees are just so overrated! My hubby has just like, worked extra hard and tons overtime and makes way more than most of the guys who "grad-i-ated" !!! Duh! I can still shop, he is such a *sweetie*!!

And why all the English papers and such? Like anyone types on PAPER anymore! Get with it!

Ok, I rilly feel like I aught to set things strait. You made the total right decishon to put off your school for you're wedding plans, b/c that's like you're stoordship. But, like, JJWT needs to be in charge of making lots of money so you can be self-suffishant and not have to borrow cash from your parints or something for your kick-A howse and a BMW (Big Mormon Wagon) both of witch your gonna need as soon as those twinners arrive! So I know it's way sad, but like the sacerfice is totally wirth it!!!

Some day you're children will totally honor how righteous you were putting they're need for an SUV over you're need for a birthday celebration. Your praktitly a PIONEER!!!

Blaire said...

Amen to that. I was a PR major in school and i had to take business stats. It sucked because there was no way to spin the right answer out of all the gobblety-gook.

J-Dub said...

That post was filled with swear words. My ears were offended.

That's it! I'm going inactive.

SRA said...

So true...all of it. And I think you should add one more celebration to your big week o' fun...the fact that your now 200 days from your due date!! Hottest fetuses ever on the way!

So...I want to know. What exactly do you look like? And JJWT? I mean, we need to know what these twins are going to look like!

GladysIcanbe! said...

90% chance, you'll never use stats?! What?! Aren't the twinners 100% likely to be so awesome and way cute, Aren't like 80% of your MiaMaids getting highlights and like 95% of them texting during church? And poor Yvette, isn't she like 75% more likely to be struck by lightning than find her own JJWT? Don't you only eat 15% of your Cafe Rio Salad? Plenty o' chances to use your ejucashun, not like my roommate who majored in physics so that she could home school her children in nuclear physics. ugh.

Benjamin said...

Oh sweet TAMNers. I have bad news. Jenna Jameson is expecting twins too! please stop emulating someone with no VALUES! You must upgrade to triplets! Think of the Mia Maids!

If you don't know who Jenna Jameson is, don't ask JJWT. Trust me, he might.

I. LOVE. THIS. BLOG. You are friggin' HILARIOUS! And since there is a "90% chance" you will never use stats, here's a couple for you, This blog is 100% GENIUS or in "TAMN terms" I should say, your twinners are 100% guaranteed to be adorable!

Pay attention at the upcoming Ginrul Conferns, you'll notice how often the Brethren cite with fond remembrance those years that they suffered and were poor as young marrieds and how those years really cemented their relationship. Think of your future five-minute fireside contributions when your hubby is a mission president or a GA (surely he has promised you that much, right?) If having to go an entire work week without a mini personal vaycay is what it takes to be translated down the road, I say journal and stamp it up like heck so you'll be able to remember how much you sacrificed and suffered for your future prosperity.

Also, just curious. There must be some desperate telestial ug ladies who are in the same programs as your hubby (and probably in your ward, so you can't really avoid 'em). Are they ever invited to your little girl clubs? Or are their husbands invited as "spouses of future dentists/lawyers/businesswomen/doctors?" I think my boyfriend would LOVE to decorate me a lunchbox, if he's invited.
