thankful, um, friday

In my time of trails, this week I am greatful for:

  • Shopping. Even though materialism makes me cry, it is honestly just so nice to be able to spend and spend til the amazing rush of severe dett kicks in and know that no matter how hard things get, at least I have new shoes which function like a cuter CTR ring to always remind me of the blessing of great taste I have.

  • The cArRiBbEaN cRuIsE Glamma is paying for after AngelBiscuit and me finish up finals! Ugh! MUCH-NEEDED brake! It will hard to be away from the twins, but perfect that they are starting to wean themselves, seriously I would lOvE lOvE lOvE to breastfeed them til age one but its wierd, my milk is dryed up ever since I stopped eating.

  • The patients I am learning by having to move to the mission filled this summer. {NOT for summer sells you guys, that was two summers ago when JJWT was saving up for the setting for the ring for the diamond daddy gave him. THIS time is for a law/biz/med/dental intern ship}. Do you know wear we're going for summer?

Hint: Brock lives there!

DC!!! Yay, what fun! There are going to be so many photo opportunities for you and the twinners - seriously, those monuments have great lines. Oh, and plus, DC is basically Utah Junior, what with all the Saints who live there, so don't worry too much about being in the mission filled.

Yay for Washington. But it doesn't truly count as the mission field. Tons of Mos here already.

I love that "amazing rush of severe dett." I'm hoping that's a paid internship. Wait - are you going to the Caribbean on your intern ship?

I am SO excited! We live in Maryland which is like, one mission over! There are so many people here who need your inspurashun....seriously!!!

P.S. - Can I go on the cruise too?

Oh. My. Gosh. You're going to DC? Isn't that basically the same as New York? (Those towns back east are all so close together! LOL!) Wow, TAMN takes Manhattan! BAAAAAAH! You know I served my mission near the Eastern Washington and the summer heat REALLY makes you glisten, I hope you're prepared to let your face so shine! What a blessed miracle.

Sounds AWESOME... I mean so sorry for you leaving the promised land!

Yay! You will fit right in in DC! So fun!

DC will be the perfect place for you to share your knowledge of motherhood...so many unrighteous working mothers...they will all learn so much from your great example. (I hope you get to meet Brock!)

Shopping IS just like the best therapy EVER for mom's
Frown on debt- but seriously, new shoes are worth every penny!!

Moving to the mission field for an internship is Heavenly Father's way of letting you know that there are more people that need to be blessed by knowing you. Seriously, they probably lead really sad, unfashionable lives- They NEED your help! :)

Well, TAMN, you can visit my house when you are in DC. Of course, I'm sure it's hardly as cute as yours, and I'm also quite sure that I will top the frump list, but you know, us Mormon's gotta stick together in the mission filled... (And seriously, if you are really going to DC this summer, you are welcome to bunk down with us while you look for housing. You can email me at marenjch at gmail dot com.) Smile, there's some great shopping here! :)

I just don't understand how your milk dried up. You mean you actually have to eat to nurse a baby?

Sadie said...

Eating sure does put a damper on things huh? Don't worry, WIC will pay for the formula since your studends!

MamaBear said...

i so love your attitude about shopping - it makes me feel better about MY spending! you are my inspiration, girl! i'm so proud!

and about the breast-feeding - of course you WANT to keep it up, but your hotness is way more important, b/c you want to have a happy daddy for those babies, and looks are so much more important than brains. you prove that every day!

thanks for helping us stay grateful and keep our pryerties straight.

when do you move???

i cannot wait to hear about this.

It must be D.C.! Really Northern Virginia. Make sure you talk in testimony meeting about how much you love Virginia (even though NoVa is totally different from the rest of the state). If you do meet someone from the rest of the state (not likely), make sure you let them know that they are hicks, and ask why they don't have a southern accent! I'm sure you'll make lots of new friends.

Wow, so you can personally supervise Micah's Mo-Batchelor saga.

Are you kidding me? We could be neighbors!! I live near Brock!!

Love your comment about the twinzers weaning themselves. I can't tell you how often I've heard that a momma's supply dried up ever since she: 1) started "supplementing" with eight bottles of formula a day or 2) was exclusively pumping like, you know, THREE whole times a day and she just wasn't producing enough.
So sad for you though that you'll be losing those giant nursing (rhymes with moobs).

Oh TAMN, thank goodness you're coming to DC! We really need your help here -- the average age of the boys AND girls in all the singles wards is over 25!! They're a freakin quarter-century old, and not even MARRIED? They do wierd things like serve missions and go to grad school and work!! Can you imagine it, It's like an entire city full of Ruths? So horrid! -- They're seriously not living the plan. Please come rescue us TAMN, to explain how to fix our pathetic lives!

Cheryl said...

Hey, maybe you'll be in my ward! You might have to compete with all the other summer sells peoples wives, though.

Jeannie said...

Oh my gosh, TAMNERS! I'm so excited for you. Maybe you can go get pedis with that girl from legally blonde! She could totally show you around!

Anonymous said...

WOW! Once again you've outdone yourself, and I'm not just talking about the shopping. For such a short post this was just jam-packed with your special insites. I was especially intrigued by your mention of the twins' weaning themselves -- it's amazing how babies have the ability to know what is best for them, nutrition-wise, and guide their parents to help find the best outcome for the whole family.

Chelsea said...

Even before you go to the part about Brock I was thinking "I bet they're moving to DC." Yay! We can be neighbors!

How convenient that the babies are weaning themselves! They must know how much you NEED this cruise.

Elizabeth said...

OMG! I'm so PB&J-elous!!! I'm originally from that part of the mission filled and most of my fam is living there now. Soo hard to be away. Send them my loves when you get there.

Alanna said...

YOU'RE GOING TO BE IN DC???? You'll be totally close to me! We can be total best friends AS WELL AS e-BFFs now! And extra-plus-- the DC temple is totally the prettiest temple (blasphemy against SLC, I know, but for reals) and it's the biggest (depending on how you measure)! Total bragging points on your righteousness!

How are you going to keep your perfect bod with all that food on a cruise?

The Crash Test Dummy said...

ha ha ha Thank goodness for shopping and cruizes. And so thankful your milk is finally drying up. It's good you stopped eating when you did! Now you'll be able to fit into your modest bikini for your personal vay-cay! yay!

Alisa said...

I'm so glad you're listening to what you're babies are telling you and weaning. No reason to keep them on the rhymes with moob any longer than need be. You're so in tune with them.

Catie said...

Oh Em Gee! Thats totally my little bros mish! He's there! Right now! Okay, so it's tetnickly northern Virginia. BUT I HAVE to tell him. He's in an area where the Church is so strong and the people have been seriously so blessed. You will totally fit in TAMN! <3

TAMNERS,
One word: HUMIDITY!!!...You may want to reconsider moving there right now!!

Even the most talented backcomber can not win. I don't know- flat hair...THAT is a trail that even the most worthy saint is not prepared for. Good luck!

Jess said...

So sad slash hilarious that I read a REAL post like this just a few days ago... It is totally fate when the milk dries up just before Cruise time :)

Em said...

Oh Tamners!
I lived in D.C. and LOVED it! You will adore the mission field. Are you sure the twins did not wean themselves because they are super-babies that prefer holding and feeding themselves? They are SOO talented anyways!

Mrs. Clark said...

TAMN, I live in Northern Virginia, which is just outside DC, and I will be happy to show you the best sites--Potomac Mills (Outlet) Mall (the number one most-visited site in Virginia: the state with Mount Vernon, Monticello, Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown), the mall in Georgetown, and the bestest mall EVER--Tyson's Corner! And Tyson's II, where Anthropologie and Cheesecake are! And we have H&M--which isn't in Utah! Bet you can't wait!
