Sooo sad and wierd since seriously, I scrub them both with bath & body antibacterial like ninty times day, but today
{mad pout}
Alivyiah & Tridger both got diagnosed with H1 and N1.
:(
Whoever gave them it deadmeat! Soooo sad to see them feeling yucky, but even sadder that I seriously HATE sickness, AND we can't go ANYWHERE for A HOLE ENTIRE WEEK.
Can you even imagine?
So, on the way home from the doctors office we stopped by neighborhood playgroup, ward playgroup, high school friends playgroup, hair school friends playgroup and preschool so they could say bye to all there friends for the week. The hugs and kisses they gave everyone were so precious.

ROTFLM(buns)O!!!! So sorry to hear they are sick, but so glad they got to say bye!
Thanks for spreading the "love," TAMN
Oh TAMN, not H1 AND N1? Not together, at the same time? How dreadful for you. What lucky children (in the playgroups) that they were able to say bye to the precious duo before being apart for a whole week!
How kind of you to share your little petrie dishes-oops, I mean kids!- with the entire community.
TAMN, TAMN, this makes me just so happy. This is brilliant. There are no more words.
if your children were just diagnosed with H1N1 why would you parade your children around other weak immune systems? Do you enjoy spreading diseases and potentially giving your friends children something that could potentially kill them? Im sure a cute homemade card saying your good byes would have been suffecient.

Precious indeed! LOL
so glad the twinsies only have that letter stuff. What if they had gotten Pig Flu? Gross!!!
Seriously LOL at this one.
Omg I know rite? Everybody is goin to miss them SO MUCH but at least they'll have barfings to remember them by!!!
Wow. Woooow.
you are freaking amazing
you are too funny today. litereally laughing my a$$ off.
Great idea to have them say bye to their friends first. You're brilliant and so considerate.
I know where you went wrong though. You haven't been putting the Echinachea in their bottles have you? Total first time Mom mistake.
There is something so wrong with you. I love it.
mwahahhahahahahaha!
You know... you should probably still take them to church this Sunday. They need the blessings to get better fast and everyone knows that germs don't spread inside the church.
That's so awesome! Next week when they can go back and everyone else is out with Swine O Nine, you'll have to make some super yummy homemade chicken noodle with your amazing talent and have T and A (omg, do you realize what else that stands for? So weird!) leave it at their all their doors.
On a serious note: you are so dead on, and I hate when moms do things like that!
That was very thoughtful of you to allow them to say bye, and hopefully give a nice hug and kiss, to their playmates.
poor little babies... I hope they get better ridiculously soon! SO thoughtful of you to let them have goodbye hugs and kisses. :)
Yeah... I was one of the thousands who waited in line for FIVE hours last week (with my toddler!) for swine flu vaccinations. Hoping to miss that one. Though we did go to the park today and there was a mom there with her three sick kids (too sick to go to school - well enough to play at a public park) who were coughing and sneezing all over the place. One of the boys even vomited (!) and the mom just told him not to swing anymore. So, yeah - I hear you on this post! Keep your sick kids home!
Luv'n this one.
not that I would ever take my kids out in public if there was a possibility they were sick unless there was a really good sale on cereal or I didn't want to miss a fun playdate--Besides, my kids bodily fluids are never as contagious as someone else's.....
I haven't commented before, but this is SO true.
Stay home people!
Thanks for the laugh.
I've been reading you for a while and this is the first time I felt like I couldn't not comment. This is by far my favorite post! Minus the ones with the emails you get from people. Those ones are priceless. You should totally make sure the kids don't miss nursery this Sunday. Seriously, nothing drives me more crazy than when I stay home with my kid for 2 weeks because he has a cough or runny nose and the next time I go in I see that everyone else brings their kids anyway and now he'll get it again in a slightly mutated form. So awesome. I heart you.
Classic.
Every mom I know did that same thing! I hate them all!!! But seriously, so funny of you!
I so desperately hope that this post wasn't based on an experience even vaguely similar...
as usual, you've got it right. i'm keeping my HEALTHY baby home just because i know there are people out there who think their sick kids are still well enough to go to the store, church, etc.
THANK YOU!! This drives me F ing nuts!!!
I've just decided not to go to church ALL winter. Church is totally still true. (Also, the stores are way less busy on Sundays)
LOVE this one. I don't usually laugh easily, and it made me LOL. Perfection.
bahaha.glad the babes were able to say goodbye!
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I'm SO GRATEFUL for thoughtful moms like you, TAMN. :-)
What, didn't you take them to a h1n1 party earlier, so they could get natural immunity? I just think it's thoughtful of you to help the other kids get it now. It's practically an immunization without all the owie shots and gross lines!! that's some serious community service, sister!
Bre, darling, look up the word "satire"....
ANYwho, TAMN there's nothing more important that making sure your twinses get a proper (temporary!) farewell to their social lives, freal, you did the right thing. Besides, if there little playmates are totally in cute clothes with hot moms that have richeous testimonies they won't get sick. Whoops! Uh oh TAMN, maybe there's some repenting you forgot to do (or maybe it's JJWT....!).
Which one has H1 and which one has N1? I missed that part.
Though I would't suggest staying home. When you get trials, it's because God wants you to learn soemthing. (So you don't need to be hygenic or anything, just super righteous.) Your friends are all dying to help you figure out what it is. So make sure you go back to church/playgroup and talk about yourself as long as it takes for them to find the answer you want to hear.
what about nursery friends!!!
The best is when a friend of mine let her 4 year old cough all over her totally presh 5 month old (any everyone else in the vicinity) only to find out that the older one had H1N1. Totally appreciated that one. Spot on!
Oh dear....
Seriously so true (you know who you are!)
It's scary how often I forget that I'm reading satire here - it's just too close to reality somtimes!
Luckily you took them trunk-or-treating at church and mingled in the cultural hall just days ago. That way there's no need to worry if you didn't get 'em to hug and kiss every single playgroup attendee (I love that there's a playgroup for your hair school friends, by the way. Loads of sleek-n-shiny hair and pretty bows, I bet).
h1 AND n1
seriously, so brilliant.
How rude of you to not stop by the Law school/dental school/biz school playgroup!
What is up with this horrible H1 N1 nonsense?
I'm pretty sure it is a terrorist attack. What else could it be?
That's why I am committed to stay inside my house all winter, eating bon-bons and getting fat!
There's nothing more sterile than snotty baby kisses.
Make sure if you wear a mask you paint adorable pouty lips on it!!
Now I'm totally confused. My friend on facebook says her hubby wuggums has swine flu, and they were totally scared that their three-month old baby would get it. But then their other friend commented that babies can't get swine flu. So if a random comment on facebook says babies can't get swine flu, how did your babies get diagnosed?
Since random comments on facebook are always right, it doesn't matter that you took them to all those playgroups to say good-bye because they're not even sick!
I love it when facebook solves serious life problems for me.
@Kristi - "...have T and A (omg, do you realize what else that stands for? So weird!)"
LOFL
That was so funny! Thanks for the great laugh.
On a side note. My 1 year old is loving your music right now. I don't think I have ever seen him dance this much.
Oh Tamn... I nearly peed my pants reading this, and the comments who think you are serious.
But hey, just because YOU can't out, why not invite everyone over to your place for playgroup? YAY
TAMN, as always you are a model mother. Just being there, showing the other mommies just how do it right! Love never spreads germs, so those kisses are like from angels, germ free. Be sure and go to church on Sunday, otherwise, people will think you are NOT richous and have no faith in priesthood blessings and I know you do! MWAH.
I'm laughing, laughing, laughing. Thanks!
Isn't H1N1 sorta like the chicken pox and you are supposed to purposefully give it to everyone? Just think you don't have to go to church!
I mean, you don't get to go to church. Make sure RS starts sending over dinners.
love you....so funny!!
"gave them it"
oh, how do you do it? too funny.
um...WHY would u send your kids to infect everyone?
Did no one else notice that not only did she misspell words - she OMITTED several, causing Tarzan-talk ("whoever gave it them deadmeat" and "like ninty times day").
Though the last paragraph was obviously the clincher, I find the missing words hitting closer to home. So many blogging-mommies can and DO use their spell-checker, but so few take the time to proof-read their postings and avoid simple errors that make them look as brilliant as Tarzan.
Amen.
LOL! I'm glad you were able to stop by neighborhood, ward, HS friends, Hair School friends AND preschool playgroups. Wouldn't want to leave anyone out. Oh, wait...except med/law/biz/dent school playgroup. Don't you like the wives club anymore?!?!
Two sad indeed! I totally knead to wash my hand more to!
Amen to the THANK YOU for the brilliant creator behind TAMN on this post!! I'm starting to wonder why adults in my classes haven't learned this same lesson.
Kristi and Sweet Em,
So I totally didn't know what else "T and A" could stand for so I had to ask my hubby. I'm from Zion, but he grew up in the mission field so he could enlighten me. Shocking! :)
Wow, once again you've outdone yourself. I hate to be speechless, but there's seriously not one thing I could add here.
you are brilliant!
Oh TANM! There are no words. I don't think I've ever laughed harder. You are so amazing!
The hinny flu sucks. But it made my hubby LOL too and he was in the middle of a hockey game when I made him listen to your brillant words of Wisdom.
I think half the people in blogland that claim they have swine flu are self-diagnosing for the dra-ma.
This is seriously so true! I don't know how many viruses my child has picked up from kids who should have stayed home in the first place! Some moms just can't stand to miss anything! Oh, but not you TAMN, you are so fabulous you are exempt from every rule.
LOL, TAMN, so funny!
My baby got h2n2. I guess maybe your little ones don't rilly "get" designer germs. So sad!
No need to stay home for a whole week. Everyone else takes their infected kiddos to walmart and lets them lick the cart handles!
Shopping anyone?
Best post yet, hands down!
You know where you went wrong, don't you?
You should have been giving them your pregnancy hormone injections. Not only to keep them from getting fat, but to ward off sickness.
Don't forget to apply NuSkin daily, and put barley in their bottles.
Wait, did you share your 100 calorie pack with them?
Next time, if you can't eat the whole pack, throw the rest in the garbage.
Don't share with the preshies.
*sigh*
You first time mothers know nothing.
this is a GOOD thing! Now, the ward can bring YOU yummy funeral potatoes for dinners AND you can have the HI & NI party, so all the kiddies can get sick together! (like the chiken pox parties)
I bet you can think of som waay cute invites :)
So thoughtful of you to share H1N1 so the playmates won't need an awful vaccine! You should start a business. I'm sure those natural granola moms would rather build up natural immunity than a shot that our government has added crazy stuff to- thanks for limiting the government conspiracy!
It's SO WEIRD that the antibacterials didn't work on a virus. SO WEIRD!
TAMN what does this say about your mothering skills? Shouldn't the perfect mother have perfectly healthy children?! Just sayin.
Hysterical... I get it... i do....
This is one of your best posts. LOVED IT!
REAL TIME: I am SO sick of seeing people bring their kids to restaurants or parks etc. to "get them out of the house because they are bored". PLEASE people! If they are too sick to go to school, or they are on Tamiflu, or they have been diagnosed with anything of the sort, for heavens sake, keep them the hell home no matter how dang bored you are! Ever wonder how this is spreading? Duh?
SATIRE: TAMN-I am so glad they got out and got some goodbye love, that way they will feel better the next two days while they are home, except when you meet the MiaMaids to go over what needs to be done to your house because the twinsies are too sick for you to clean. ;)
TAMNers, YOU'RE not sick, so you don't technically have to stay home! That's what Glamma is for, right? You don't want to catch that nasty piggy flu from your diseased babies, right?
Yeah! H1 AND N1!?!?! That's GREAT!?!? Nothing is better than the sick diet. Except for maybe the break-up diet....or the LGN diet.
**sigh**
But then again YOUR perfect twinsies are genetically predisposed to have amazing little figures anyways.
Good idea. I bet all those moms wanted their kids to get the swine flu anyway... you know, like chicken pox.
I'm with Azucar. Somewhere along the way, antibacterial gel got way more celeb than it's worth.
Are the kids ok? At that age, they are in for some respiratory problems.
i can't think of anything more to say than---HILarious. and so true.
You should take a lesson from one of the new moms in my ward. Refuse to bring the twins to church. One parent can attend Sacrament, then during Sunday School switch so the other person can at least go to RS or EQ. It's the only righteous thing to do.
This so reminds me of the "sweet sister" who brought her child with full chicken pox to a Relief Society mid-week activity and put her in the nursery. She told me later that she just figured that anyone who's children who hadn't had it would like the opportunity to "get it over with" - besides, SHE WAS ON THE COMMITTEE! Thanks to her, my toddler got oral herpes from it (which you can get from chicken pox exposure as well as shingles) and suffered like you can't believe. Some people are just clueless.
Oh, I'm sorry you didn't take care of your kids better.
I would love to send this post to the dork who brought her child to school with Croup, leading to my daughter's 12-3am ER visit. The nurse said I should send that lady the bill.
I love this one!
love it!
I had to read this one out loud to my husband. Priceless.
@ Molly. Love it. That's all.
