At playgroup today, it was seriously sooooo funny, I guess Tridger is going through the CUTEST, SWEETEST, most darling kicking, hitting and biting stage.
What can I say, he's ALL BOY!

And you probably didn't do anything about it either, did you.
(We must know the same people! And if she read this she would totally agree and nod as her son attacked the other kids). Interfering is just too much like disicipline! GASP!
Dead. On.
I love this. Bc right, there is nothing cuter than when your kid is kicking, hitting and biting other kids.
I feel bad for moms of girls, they can't use the "He's all boy!" excuse when their kid acts like a spoiled brat. Or do you just say "She's such a little princess"?
I swear I lived near you when I was a young mother.
Have you been letting him watch too many vampire movies/shows?
I'll betcha Mel Gibson's mommy thought he was just darling too when he was going through the kicking, hitting and biting stage during his playgroup days...
Whoa, whoa, whoa. You are NOT suppose to use the actual words, hitting, kicking and biting. He is going through the cutest little ninja, vampire, pretending stage. You can't actually admit he's doing those specific actions because then we all know it would be a reflection on you (as everything your child does is) and then we would have to think you are a bad parent because obviously everything kids do is because of their parents.
it's even more cute and DARLING when he says his first cuss words. even better if it is in church.
Take it from someone whose house was vandalized by the 2nd counselor and YM president's kids, if you are righteous enough (or at least trying really hard to look way righteous on the surface), DISCIPLINE IS NOT NECESSARY!!!! Not even one iota. Because if you are righteous that means that your kids are righteous and so it must be the OTHER KIDS' fault that your kids are acting up!
This reminds me of a girl I used to know whose daughter was "just so big for her age" - like it was inevitable (and so cute!) for her to beat up other kids because she was tall. Perfect post...absolutely perfect.
Or, are you sure you aren't spending too much time getting manis/pedis, shopping, and lunching that Tridger is hitting kids to get attention?
So, are you going to be one of those moms who will wonder where you went wrong when your son becomes the ward bully? Then again, you'll think that all the other kids are bullying him and that he's defending himself from them!
What can you say? Well, you can give me a shrill little lecture on not touching or stifling your precious little terrorist when you catch me physically removing him from the much smaller baby he's about to claw to death in the hallway while you're gabbing obliviously in the foyer.
I know! How dare I?! What is another child's safety compared to your little cretin's freedom?!
I question your statement he is all boy. I mean you donated half of his chromosomes and so isn't the X a little more female than male? So actually, he is 50% boy. And doesn't he cry and whine and have a high voice and like to snuggle with soft cuddly animals? If he exhibits the slightest degree of emotion or sensitivity, I feel you cannot say he is all boy. Why not say he is a pre-man instead?
But but but, that kid who butted heads with Tridger in the church nursery had it coming to him. What kind of sissy bpy has an old-fashioned name like John anyway? John is 18 mos old and isn't even potty trained. He was playin fireman in the corner of the nursery room and whipped his "fire hose" out of his diaper and watered the wall. And John has started cussing already. He said a word that sounded so much like TAMN-it that Tridger thought the goomer was taking your name in vain and had to defend your honor. And since Tridger's dentist daddy takes dental impressions at the ofc, Tridger was just makin a similar impression of his teeth on John's forearm. What's wrong with a son trying to emulate his father?
I have so many words and yet there are no words, just Perfect Post.
Adorable!!! Love that little guy! You will be so sad when this phase has blossomed into even more boyish charm. We will be here for you.
Sounds like your playgroup was held at my mall's playarea. Don't worry, because you didn't saw a WORD when your kid hit mine I went ahead and told him NO! for you - TWICE.
I won't interfere if your kid is doing something that is dangerous for him - but if he touches my daughter - look out!
You know, if things get really out of hand you could always use a super soft sing-song voice to tell Tridger he's not making good choices. No consequences needed! Of course, your {dArLiNg} boy will never need THAT KIND of correction!
Reminds me of the time I was at playgroup chatting with another mom and she just continued chatting on and on and doing nothing while her son repeatedly threw fistfuls sand -- at ME. Awesome.
If a baby girl acts in a similar way mommy dearest says: She's such a diva!
well all i can say is kudos to you for perfect parenting.
my little lad (well ok he's now 18..) he slapped a 6 week old baby once across the face when he was three whilst I was entertaining my yummy mummy friends.
never have i felt soo proud.....:)
OMG. So very Mormonly true.
He's just working it all out. It's better that it comes out now than later when he might drink Mountain Dew, watch action movies, or Skip Sunday School when he's a teen.
Frownsmile at all of you who don't seem to know about this latest parenting trend.
Boys will be boys. I saw it in a book. There brian structure is different from girls and there hormones make them agresseve, just like girls brians make them soft and helpless. Boys born that way and thats why they get the Preesthood. Theres nothing you can do accept dress them in blue and get them a Ninja costum for Haloween. What a trail for mom's.
Then again, did you actually see the kicking, hitting, biting? I can't stand it when mommy's little pumpkin screams in pain when some kidlet looks at them crossed-eyed. Or when said kidlet falls down and waits for eye contact from mommy and the whole "worried-scared" look from her, and THEN screams like his arm is broken. (but not until he is sure he has her attention)
just wait till he starts dissecting live frogs in the backyard... then you can say he's just a little blossoming cutie scientist
I think my favorite part of this post is the title, "Who am I to interfere with the cutie?" yup, you are just his MOM!
It's even better when he drops his sacrament bread and says, "Oh SH--!"
I don't really think this is just a "Mormon TAMNY" thing.
Some people just suck as parents. Mormon or not. You can't blame crappy kids all on one religion!
I think maybe tridger has allergies. Maybe you should not let him have red dye. Because a lady in my ward says when her kids is mean and bratty it is because he has had too much dairy and red dye. I totally think it is because of the processed food he is getting
Who indeed! It's not like you're his mother...jeez.
That is my little Bridger! Isn't it adorable!!! ALL BOY!! Don't you love it!?
