My magnifying glass is WAY full!

CanNOT hardly STAND the level of exCITEMment racing thru my VAINS and shooting out my fingers as I TYPE!! Seriously, summer was SO busy it din't even feel like summer I swear, BUT, love getting ready to go back to school! So humbling slash overwhelming slash awesome that I just found out that I, TAMN, am the new boss of the wives club at our law/business/medical/dental school, so basically, in our schoolingo, you are reading the blog of the...drrrrrrumrolllll...FIRST LADY!! BAAAA!! SO greatful I could just shriek large overpowering greatful shrieks forever!!

Last year the First Lady did a darling job but some of the activities were (not to be rude) super painful boring and made me just want to shout "MAGNIFY!!" all encouragingly. So now with this new reign, er, stewardship, I'll be able to grow'n'show my talents in a ginormous way as I TAMN things up...sooo greatful for the opp! Let's just say this little lite of mine is gonna shine the heck out of itself!! But in a way down to earth way because I don't want to be one of THOSE over the top wackos, I want my legacy to be like a back to basics type a thing. So I am spending time w/ my committee and countselors getting ready to welcome all the hubs back to school NEXT WEEK!! Hope you don't mind I'm going to jot down what I've been up to since this blog is my journal:
  • We had a WNO (Wives Night Out) with some fro-yo (yum!) and some diet coke (awful, I know) and had the BEST craft nite EVER! Tons of scrappin', tons of stampin', tons of servin', tons of awesome. Covered the outside of each textbook in thick adorable paper and tons of fun stamps and eyelets and ribbons and rub-ons, THEN for the finishing touch we took the inside cover of each book and made collages of awesome things (big shiny cute Escalade, our future boat, our future pool, me outside Anthro, me inside Anthro, etc.) to help motivate each of our boys to get big not literally fat important jobs! Looked so dang good when we were done I can't even tell you. Creative AND helpful AND using our talents productively...talk about a triple whammy/TAMNY :) !! So excited to be loaded, mostly so we can help others, for example upping my pedis to help those nice asians! LOVE service!
  • THEN we printed a TON of seriously adorable flashcards with way hard law/biz/med/dental terms on them (thanx, Cricut!), ones such as "contracts" and "aggregate" and ""periodontal" and "veneer," then laminated them, THEN went the extra mile and bEdAzzlEd them! All us girls are going to take turns quizzing each other so we can understand the guyses boring slash serious convos. I am TOTALLY calling you guys my cohorts instead of e-BFFs! J/k, talk about a yawner. But with practice all us law/biz/med/dental babes'll totally be able to keep up when they start talking about maximizing prophets which has GOT to be a good thing.
  • We definately busted out the Pampered Chef/Tupperware/insert Home Business Opportunity here gear, including the most DARLING cookie cutters EVER to EXIST throughout time and are using them to add serious personality, passion and pizazz to the lunchtime sandwiches we make so lovingly each day!! Love the one shaped like an "A+!" not to mention the darling hearts, stars, crowns and even a little briefcase! Personally, I love LOVE love to cut the meat with it, THEN the low-fat cheese with it, THEN the tomatos, cukes, etc., THEN combine them and cut the bread with it so all the corners match up. Angelbabe is going to grin his hot face right off when he sees all the support I put in those suckers! One more way we don't let the sizzle fizzle!!
  • Supposably it's still "too early" for me to go to the DTD (Down There Doc) about our cute fetus, BUT made plans with all the other prego gals (TIMEOUT: Soooo fun that so many of them are prego too...weird, right??!), we are going to hit up Fetal Fotos ASAP and get 3D pics of our babies faces and then put little talking bubbles on them that say things like "Good luck, dad!" and "No pressure, it's just my social status! :)" to plaster around the boyses study desks to help them focus.
  • We spent the afternoon yesterday making TONZ and TONZ of pompoms for us to shake enthusiastically when we make the wElcOmE tUnnEl!! All the wives line up at the school's entrance and make a tunnel with pompoms and we shake them as JJWT and friends run through on there way to the first day of class, and we yell encouraging things like "SYNERGY!!!"
Seriously, can you see why I'm the busiest prego ever???!!! Anyways, that's prolly all I'll do for now, bc I don't want to overdue the first day of school. Like I always say, simplicity speaks such cute volumes. Love you!

I'm so glad you aren't letting the First Ladiness go to your head. That's our TAMN.

b-t-dub, I love the new WNO. That way, Yvonne can't be sad she's not invited. SO nice of you.

Great work TAMN! I would be WAY better at studying if I had those freaky 3D fetus pictures all over my desk...JJWT gonna love it! SYNERGY!!!

It IS just your social status! He will be reminded all over the place exactly where you want and expect to be. It's such a good thing JJWT has you to remind him and that his fetus will also remind him that he doesn't want to get made fun of when he's in school wearing Wal Mart clothes. Your so smart TAMN!

I hope that because you are First Lady, you don't have to wear those awful First Lady suit from Dress Barn. Although, I do wish I had started a store with the word "Barn" in it. Great marketing plan that doesn't promote frumpiness at all.

I am a little surprised you didn't make your adorable hubbies some little Bedazzled nametags, just like they wore on the mish, saying, "Awesome Hubby of TAMN." Maybe next time.

your so righteous to do all that service for those nice asian people by letting them do your pedi's!

I can't stop laughing. TAMN you are too funny. I'm so glad that you are using your talents so wisely. Your hubby is going to do awesome this year in school.

I'm so glad that you decorated his textbooks for him. It's not embarrassing at all...it just saves him time in case some poor Yvette is in one of his classes. Now she won't wast time flirting with him...his books should shout "TAKEN!" She'll have to look somewhere else to get her MRS degree! :)

OMH!!!! So fun!!!!! I'm not married...yet. I know he is out there being PREPARED for me as we speak. But i totally magnified and got my roommate (whom i'm just so GRATEFUL for) ready for her first day back to school. I made these way cute cupcakes with "back to school" on them and made a little gift bag with all the stuff she needs for the school year. It's nice that she is also my visiting teachee so i just got all of that done in one fell swoop. Can i get a MAGNIFY? Heck yeah!!!!!!!

Hizzeather hit it on the head when she pointed out that it's your not-so-subtle way to let all those other girls know that they need to stay away from your JJWT. Because they are for sure 'jellus' of your studmuffin.

And this hubby-loving publicity is cool because most every other graduate student, outside of Mormonville, isn't married, you'll be proving to them why it's AWESOME for a 22 year old guy to marry a 19 year old girl and have 3 kids before they finish school. They're just jellus of how blessed you are. And you're living a WAY better life N-E-way.

Oh my gosh, you have to go to the website www.bellyscene.com. They can take your 3D pic from Fetal Fotos and print it onto a shirt right on your belly!!! That is so not creepy at all!

Good point TAMNers, you DON'T want to overdo it. I think the 3d talking bubble fetus photos, welcome tunnel, bedazzled cards, creative sammiches and crafted up collage books is JUST ENOUGH without QUITE going overboard. Just perfect.

Chelsea said...

so when are you going to seriously bless everyone by writing a book? i mean, i know your ril bizy growing your darling darling fetus baby right now, but the world needs a SSB book!

Scuse me, are Token Asian Friend and Asian Buddy the same, or do you have TWO asian friends TAMN? Also, do you still use your pink ipod now that you have an iphone? And most importantly, will you please make me a briefcase-shaped sandwich?

Third token asian friend speaking up here - but I hide my asiaNess so that no one asks me to give them a pedi! It interferes with my sandwitch making for my hubby (espcially with med schoool starting). TAMN, where is your FACEBOOK page? Some of your so-called BFFs have started one, but it totally needs to be GLAMMED UP! Seriously, no **SpArKlE** at all. Let me know when the offishull page is up and I will so add it to my profil. Laters!

And Cheri, I understand the confusion since after all, all asians do look alike

Oh-em-gee! I ekspeshally love how you make sure to talk about how you are a "prego" in every single post! It lets the rest of us know fur shur that being a mother is going to be the best thing in the world, and that talking about being preggers and babies and weather or not to breastfeed is the only thing that you are going to be interested in from here on out. It also lets the rest of us with barren uteruses (sorry, GROSS!) know that until we get preggers too, we just cant be friends because we have nuthing in commin, and you really have nothing to say to us! Thanks so much! Love you!

if my hubby were still in school i would totally vote for you for first lady.

You are an inspiration to all of us. Speaking of that darling fetus, isn't it time for a name/gender poll on the blog? Some good ideas for boy name: Kayson, Mason, Peyton, Nephi(Nephy--the Y is a must for your baby's name). Maybe your readers have other awesome suggestions.

Just don't forget to make JJWT heartshaped pancakes in the a.m. He's going to need his strength to run through that pompom tunnel---and you ARE wearing your old cheerleading skirt, right? I heard it's OK to be immodest if it's for a good cause. But ONLY if the good cause doesn't last longer than three hours. That is what my old roomie said anyways and she would totally know because her dad was a branch president and memorized lots of scriptures and stuff.

J McO (change later) said...

Supposably. Hahaha.

JJWT is going to be so proud when he gets to school and gets to run through a big welcome tunnel! it'll be like a big homecoming football game and he's the quarterback and you're the head cheerleader. you are totally going to energize his ambition.

karen said...

TAMN, you must be the bestest wife and will represent as First Lady in super style. I live doing service too:) by the way. I'm learning so much about being a great eternal partner from you, I can't thank you enough. My JJWT will be sooo proud when I bust out some of the crafty ideas I have learned here! I can't thank you enough!

i can only hope this post is a joke because its "seriously" the most racist, out of touch, money grubbing bunch of ramblings i've ever had the displeasure of reading...god willing your husband will get kicked out of grad school and you'll end up giving pedi's!
